I Don’t Want To Smell Your Pheromones Chapter 13-14

Chapter 13 – Fatal Temptation

He would eat him!

Yes, he wanted to… eat him right now.

Gu Zhuoran slightly narrowed his eyes, then shut them forcefully, shaking his head to try and clear his mind.

No, he couldn’t!

If he forcefully touched Shen Yan now, with Shen Yan’s personality, he would definitely hate him for the rest of his life.

No, hold back. He had to hold back.

“Hah… Hah…”

Gu Zhuoran panted rapidly because of Shen Yan’s words, curling himself into an even tighter ball.

Gu Zhuoran’s appearance clearly looked very abnormal.

Especially the way he hugged himself tightly and curled up in the corner; it reminded Shen Yan of the past.

Back when he visited Gu Zhuoran, who had presented early due to an accident, that guy had looked exactly like this in the management office’s small cell.

Even though the tearing pain in his body was about to make Shen Yan pass out…

He still looked toward Gu Zhuoran with worry.

Shen Yan hugged his body in pain, huddled on the bed. Turning his face, he called out to the boy hesitating across the room.

“I’m hurting so badly right now… come over here.”

Gu Zhuoran breathed rapidly. Hot sweat gradually slid down from his forehead, beginning to blur his vision.

The cold, sweet Omega pheromones were a fatal temptation.

Although his remaining rationality told him he couldn’t approach…

The habits and instincts formed over many years made him subconsciously obey Shen Yan’s words and walk over.

Lying on his side on the bed, Shen Yan frowned. He saw that Gu Zhuoran’s footsteps were very slow, very hesitant, as if struggling with something.

But as the other approached, that sun-like aura gradually drew near.

Once he was close, Shen Yan reached out a hand and gently grasped one of Gu Zhuoran’s fingers.

The temperature transmitted from the fingertips was damp and cool, mixed with the cold fragrance assaulting him.

Gu Zhuoran stood rigidly before the bed. With lowered eyes, he controlled the rhythm of his breathing, not daring to look at Shen Yan’s state.

Shen Yan was already in immense pain, so he wasn’t as observant as usual.

He lay huddled on the bed, unable to move, and could only see a pair of long, straight legs walk to the bedside and stop within his line of sight.

Even though he stood so straight, for some reason, he was trembling faintly.

Shen Yan struggled to look up, and sure enough, he saw the other with his head bowed, his silver hair trembling slightly.

The familiar appearance from his memories instantly stirred something deep in his heart.

Thinking that he was remembering those past events again, Shen Yan softly comforted him.

“I’m just sick. It’ll pass if I bear with it. Stop thinking about the past; it’s all over now.”

Hearing this, Gu Zhuoran’s body shuddered lightly. He gripped Shen Yan’s hand tightly and slowly dropped to his knees, leaning against the bed like a small animal seeking a tiny bit of comfort. Hidden within his narrow, icy-blue phoenix eyes were faint suppression and unbearable suffering.

“Shen Yan…”

This wasn’t an illness; this was an Omega’s presenting period.

How much Gu Zhuoran wanted to yell this at Shen Yan, and how much he wanted to let the power inside him completely explode.

But he couldn’t. He knew Shen Yan’s temper too well, and he knew exactly how despair-inducing this outcome would be for him.

He didn’t have the courage to tell him. What’s more, even in such agonizing pain, Shen Yan was still worrying about him.

He could only bury his head deeply into the edge of the bed, holding Shen Yan’s hand tightly. While desperately suppressing his instincts, he prayed that absolutely nothing would go wrong with Shen Yan’s presenting.

The risks of presenting as an Omega at such an advanced age were immense. If things went wrong, there could be lasting side effects.

Because of Gu Zhuoran’s proximity, Shen Yan subconsciously rubbed gently in his direction.

Leaning against the bed, he lightly sniffed the scent lingering in Gu Zhuoran’s silver hair and let out a faint sigh.

“You brat, you really… smell like the sun.”

Gu Zhuoran stiffened for a moment, then softly replied with an “Mn.”

But what he didn’t expect was that because of how late he presented, Shen Yan’s presenting period lasted a full three days.

And right now… this was merely the beginning.

Chapter 14 – The Fatal Night of Presenting

Shen Yan’s presenting… lasted for a full two days and three nights.

On the first night, Shen Yan could still maintain some degree of clarity.

But the more clear-headed he was, the more torturous the tearing pain inside his body became.

He was in so much pain he nearly rolled around on the bed. Gu Zhuoran tried several times to carry him to a physician but failed.

It wasn’t until Shen Yan literally passed out from the pain that things finally came to a pause.

And witnessing an Omega’s presenting firsthand left Gu Zhuoran so terrified his heart trembled.

How could it hurt this much?

It hurt so much that his own heart was torn to pieces.

Gu Zhuoran looked at Shen Yan with tender heartache. Controlling his movements, he leaned down slightly, his trembling lips gently pressing a kiss to Shen Yan’s forehead.

He kissed him with utmost devotion and care, yet an unmistakable gleam of joy flickered in the depths of his icy-blue eyes.

He lightly sniffed the pheromone scent on Shen Yan’s body, absolutely certain that he had presented as an Omega.

“Good heavens…”

Halfway through his sniffing, Gu Zhuoran abruptly halted all movements. He covered his nose with his hand, dashed out the bedroom door, and immediately isolated himself. Rubbing his forehead, he knew he had to stay awake and quickly rushed to the small kitchen to wash his face with cold water.

The freezing water and his bitten tongue finally brought him back to his senses a little.

Taking long, deep breaths, he forced the heat inside his body back down once more.

“Hoo… hss…”

After several long minutes, he finally regained his equilibrium.

Glancing at the items in the kitchen, he suddenly realized that Shen Yan hadn’t eaten anything at all since the presenting began.

Gu Zhuoran, who knew very little about Omega presentations, tried his best to recall information he had heard in the past.

It was said that the pain of an Omega presenting stemmed from the reconstruction inside the body. It was an extremely energy-consuming process, and could even be life-threatening. A single misstep could lead to death or severe bodily injury.

Gu Zhuoran realized he had to replenish enough nutrition for Shen Yan, otherwise he might not survive this prolonged agony.

For Gu Zhuoran, who had lived alone for many years, whipping up some food wasn’t difficult.

The hard part was how to feed it to Shen Yan.

When he appeared in Shen Yan’s room holding a bowl of freshly cooked porridge, he was shocked to find that Shen Yan was actually awake.

Under the moonlight, Shen Yan’s tea-colored eyes, which resembled those of a large feline, glimmered faintly.

“You’re awake. I made some porridge, eat… Ah!”

The sentence Gu Zhuoran meant to finish was cut off when Shen Yan suddenly lunged from the bed and pounced on him.

He caught the person in shock, but the bowl of porridge in his hands was knocked to the floor.

Crash—

The sound of the bowl shattering, accompanied by a heavy, irresistible surge of pheromones, instantly flooded all his senses.

Gu Zhuoran was caught entirely off guard by the attack. What was even more troublesome was that Shen Yan wrapped himself around his body and refused to let go.

Soon, Gu Zhuoran realized that although Shen Yan looked awake, he had actually entered the delirious state of an Omega’s Jiehe Re.

He was actually… sniffing, rubbing, and tearing all over Gu Zhuoran’s body.

“Don’t…” Gu Zhuoran cried out nervously.

This lethal intensity was almost enough to drive Gu Zhuoran insane.

He bit his tongue, dug his nails into his palms, and even slammed his head against the wall.

The dull pain finally helped him hold onto his last shred of sanity. He quickly peeled the deranged Shen Yan off his body, carried him back, and ruthlessly stuffed him into the blankets.

He had heard that an Omega in Jiehe Re would desperately seek the comfort of an Alpha’s pheromones, but he never expected it to be this ferocious.

“Shen, Shen Yan, wake up! You’re presenting!” Gu Zhuoran growled softly.

“I want…” Shen Yan didn’t even know what he wanted himself. But he instinctively reached out from the blankets, grabbed Gu Zhuoran’s clothes, and desperately rubbed against him like a kitten.

Gu Zhuoran exhausted almost every method possible to endure the very real craving in his heart.

In the end, he could only wrap Shen Yan tightly in the blankets and desperately endure this long, fatal night.
