Part 4
Tang Yue took the umbrella offered by the staff and walked onto the street. The fans who were waiting outside were startled; they didn’t expect to see Tang Yue so close up.
The young man who had appeared on their phone screens looked pale, but this didn’t affect his beauty in the least.
The light blue umbrella matched Tang Yue’s temperament even more. The soft rain fell on the umbrella. The young man under the umbrella heard the fans calling his name and just twitched the corners of his mouth, then walked through the path the fans had spontaneously created.
“What’s wrong with Xiao Yue?”
“Is he sick?”
“But it did get colder; I feel like I need to wear a sweater.”
“He seemed fine sitting inside.”
“His skin is really nice up close.”
“The captain’s out.”
Jiang Shulu didn’t even have an umbrella; his assistant hurriedly followed, but Jiang Shulu waved him away.
The waiting fans first saw Tang Yue hurrying away, then Jiang Shulu coming out. Two faces with extraordinarily high颜值 (appearance) passed by so close, almost making people dizzy.
“Did they have a fight?”
“Have they been fighting for a long time?”
“Why?”
“I don’t know. It’s so strange. It doesn’t seem like they would fight when they’re in the group.”
Tang Yue walked very quickly, tearing off his earpiece; the production team didn’t follow.
He took out his phone; just as he was about to call Liang Yi, he heard footsteps behind him.
Jiang Shulu’s hair was wet from the rain, but not to the point of dripping. Tang Yue subconsciously offered him the umbrella, forgetting that this would easily expose himself.
Jiang Shulu squeezed under the umbrella, taking the lead and holding it up.
The viewers who had finally caught up with the scene hadn’t had time to react before they saw this.
“What stimulated Tang Yue?”
“Maybe we should ask what Jiang Shulu said.”
“Today’s the last day of the first stop, right? Is there a live chat?”
“Let Tang Yue and Jiang Shulu chat for a while. They can chat in front of us too.”
Tang Yue: “Why did you follow me?”
Jiang Shulu: “I was afraid something would happen to you.”
His hair was wet with rain, sticking to his forehead, and his eyes seemed to be stuck with something, making Tang Yue’s heart pound.
Jiang Shulu calmly took off his earpiece. The viewers vaguely heard the sound of electricity, and the next second they couldn’t hear any voices, only the noisy ambient sounds.
Tang Yue: “Something could happen, how?”
The umbrella provided by the staff wasn’t large; the two men huddled together were extremely crowded.
Moreover, Jiang Shulu hadn’t put his arm around Tang Yue, so there was an even greater feeling of confinement in the narrow space.
Yet, everything around them was so empty, as if the world had shrunk to this circle.
Making Tang Yue retreat with nowhere to go, he could only directly meet Jiang Shulu’s gaze.
Jiang Shulu: “We need to talk.”
Tang Yue: “I don’t want to talk.”
He had already rejected Jiang Shulu’s “talk” several times.
Taking advantage of the fact that Jiang Shulu wouldn’t force him, he would turn his back on Jiang Shulu every night at bedtime, forcing himself to sleep.
He didn’t know if it was because the person he thought about day and night was lying next to him, but Tang Yue didn’t toss and turn as much as before; his sleep quality had improved dramatically.
If only he didn’t wake up every morning leaning against Jiang Shulu’s arms.
He could only scramble out of bed.
See? The captain wouldn’t do anything; he would even pretend to be asleep to accommodate me.
So this time I can too…
But Tang Yue forgot the thought he’d had of Jiang Shulu’s other side, more than once.
He had even experienced that side of Jiang Shulu—fierce, brutal, saying “baby” but actually waiting for Tang Yue to relax before invading deeper, a more profound flogging.
Some people’s hearts were half-open before. The free wind from outside only made the door creak; there was no sign of it opening.
But Tang Yue’s confession that night indirectly catalyzed the wind, becoming the last straw for Jiang Shulu’s wavering, rule-abiding years.
That door opened.
Jiang Shulu: “If we don’t talk, then I can…”
Tang Yue was originally looking down at the stone slabs under his feet, considering the probability of running out into the rain to catch a cold.
He didn’t want to get sick at all; it was too painful, and Xiao Mie would cry.
Before Jiang Shulu finished speaking, Tang Yue subconsciously looked up at him.
He was caught red-handed; a kiss fell on Tang Yue’s lips.
The heavy scent of agarwood filled Tang Yue’s face, almost making him dizzy and weak in the knees.
A pair of hands timely embraced Tang Yue; the umbrella handle rested on Jiang Shulu’s shoulder, separating the trailing cameras and the fans’ gazes.
They stood on the steps of the corner; on one side was the rainy river bank, the ferryboat lying on the river surface, and an unknown local song coming from somewhere.
On the other side were steps leading upwards; a person carrying a load passed by and said “yo.”
Tang Yue felt like he was going to explode.
Just as he was about to speak, the kiss moved from the corner of his lips to his lips. It excited Tang Yue almost to the point of jumping up, but then the numbness of the other’s lips and tongue made him powerless.
Even pushing him away seemed like a hesitant acceptance; finally, he let out a shameful “Captain.”
Jiang Shulu: “Shall we continue without talking?”
Tang Yue could even hear the voices of the fans behind, the sound of the shutters, the conversations, and even some loud voices calling his name.
—What are Tang Yue and the captain talking about?
The umbrella covered the two men’s cheeks pressed together.
The world was both noisy and silent. The rain dripping on the umbrella seemed to fall into Tang Yue’s heart, drop by drop, the sound of years flowing by. It was the scar on his abdomen that he touched every time he showered, thinking of that year, that month, that day, the ultimate experience of being penetrated by Jiang Shulu.
Tang Yue: “Let’s talk.”
He wasn’t a brave person at all. He was socially anxious even in the group, let alone now on the street, with fans behind him.
And this was live!!
Jiang Shulu chuckled: “Talk about love?”
Tang Yue gasped.
Jiang Shulu: “Just kidding, go rest.”
Tang Yue didn’t know why he felt a little disappointed. He asked: “So, we don’t have to talk?”
Jiang Shulu: “You look very pale, go get some sleep. There’s a live interview and a change of venue in the evening; it will be tiring.”
Tang Yue: “Oh.”
The captain is so annoying; he said he wanted to talk, but he didn’t.
How could he be like this?
Author’s Note:
——”Interchanging Lives”
Tang Yue drank a tube of simulated coriander-flavored nutrient solution today,
feeling very complicated.
He felt that everyone in this world was crazy,
and felt really sorry for them after seeing it.
The boss even asked him: When can he eat Jianbing Guozi (a kind of Chinese pancake).
Tang Yue: I can’t start without seeds; do you have any?
Boss: I can’t get them; go get them from the Wangting (court); they’re hiring male nannies recently.
Tang Yue: ?
Boss: I will fully support you in raising the little prince.
Tang Yue: I don’t have any milk.
Boss: Aren’t you a man from the 9787 star? You can give birth.
Tang Yue beat up the boss.
Thinking: Give birth to nm, don’t let that Tang Yue who swapped lives with me get pregnant over there.
Already starting to worry.
Is this any different from a rabbit entering a wolf’s den?
