Part 2
Jiang Shulu didn’t know whether to praise him for being smart or something else.
But the way Tang Yue bit his lip was too cute. Jiang Shulu asked, “Can I kiss you?”
Tang Yue’s train of thought was completely interrupted. He let out an “ah,” feeling his ears burn.
“Why do you have to ask? A-aren’t we dating right now? B-brother, you can do whatever you want with me.”
This was practically a clear invitation.
“Does Xiao Yue want me?”
He asked so directly. Tang Yue licked his lips, feeling that it was hard to lie at a time like this. After all, his own hand had already slipped inside.
If it weren’t for Jiang Shulu removing his hand just now, he might have already climbed on top.
Just like… just like that day.
“I do.”
“But I want to talk to you.”
“We can talk while we do it.”
“Are you sure?”
Although the light wasn’t bright, Tang Yue was too embarrassed to look Jiang Shulu in the eye.
He thought: Okay, that’s really hard to be sure about.
You probably can’t pay attention to anything else at that time!
“It seems Xiao Yue doesn’t want to know about my past.”
“Of course I do!”
He licked his lips. “I thought before that Shulu-ge had it very tough.”
“So you had Liu Xichao give me all the things you wanted to give me?”
Tang Yue let out an “ah.” “You knew?”
“Liu Xichao has never been nice to me. How could he possibly give me things?”
Tang Yue was a little unhappy again. “Why is Third Brother like that to you?”
“Because I’m my uncle’s nephew. He thinks we’re the same kind of people.”
Tang Yue hummed twice. “But Shulu-ge was forced to go back.”
He was a little curious again. “Then did you have a good childhood, Shulu-ge?”
They lay face to face. The sky outside the window was dim, the indoor lights were hazy, and their breaths intertwined. It seemed like they could say anything without any barriers.
“Not really.”
Tang Yue squeezed his hand. “It will be better in the future.”
He asked again, “You said you wanted me to meet someone after the show. Is it your birth mother?”
Just as Tang Yue finished speaking, Jiang Shulu’s phone, which was on the bedside table, rang.
The caller ID was [Grandpa – Jiang Mingxun].
Jiang Shulu, who was still in bed continuing to talk about his past with Tang Yue, was called by the old man whose birthday was this weekend, hoping that Jiang Shulu would bring a female companion.
The emphasis on “female companion” seemed to indicate that he knew something.
Jiang Shulu didn’t get up to answer the phone. He just held Tang Yue and listened to the voice on the other end.
Jiang Shulu’s expression looked particularly cold, and his answers were all “mm.”
Tang Yue asked Jiang Shulu, “Is it about work?”
Jiang Shulu looked down at the message on his phone.
Jiang Mingxun had already called many times.
The old man’s health had been poor recently. Maybe because he was getting old, he started to miss his family and thought of Jiang He, whose leg he had almost broken before. He had Jiang He come to see him in the middle of the night, and after he left, he kept calling Jiang Shulu.
“Of course not. He’s urging me to go back and prepare for his birthday banquet, and also…”
Tang Yue lay on Jiang Shulu’s chest and blinked.
Jiang Shulu lowered his head, his forehead bumping against Tang Yue’s. “About marriage.”
He was wearing thin fleece pajamas. Compared to Tang Yue’s fluffy style, he looked a bit serious.
But there was a bite mark on his neck, which Tang Yue had just made. Because when Jiang Shulu was about to get out of bed to answer the phone, he had bitten Tang Yue’s collarbone.
So childish. Tang Yue decided to bite back.
So Jiang Shulu sat on the bed and answered the phone, still holding the person he wanted to openly announce as his marriage partner.
Tang Yue grabbed Jiang Shulu’s other hand and pulled him directly onto the bed. The blanket squeezed out all the light, giving Jiang Shulu a deep sense of security.
Actually, it was Tang Yue who gave him a sense of security.
It was to the point where no one would believe it if he said it. As long as Jiang Shulu saw Tang Yue, he always had a sense of being grounded.
Like the stages that fans compiled, many times, Jiang Shulu’s first glance on stage was for Tang Yue.
Unfortunately, Tang Yue didn’t respond.
This recently became the ironclad evidence for fans to prove his secret crush, but they didn’t know that under the grand stage, the untouchable, unknown mutual secret crush had a sense of tragic helplessness.
“Don’t look at your phone if you’re not happy.”
“But I understand. If you don’t answer or turn off your phone, they’ll just have someone else disturb you. It’s so annoying.”
He hugged Jiang Shulu again, rubbing his head.
One stroke after another, from the top of his head to the back of his neck, then to his back, and finally, he boldly went to touch Jiang Shulu’s butt.
His hand was grabbed and pulled into an embrace.
“I’ll tell you a bedtime story.”
“Is it the kind of story that Xiao Mie said you’d fall asleep telling?”
“I only fell asleep once, and it was because I was too relaxed after finishing a song.”
He mumbled, his voice mixed with the intimacy of the late night, giving Jiang Shulu the illusion that they had never been separated.
“Okay, you tell it.”
Tang Yue’s hand tried to find a place to rest and accidentally slipped into Jiang Shulu’s pajamas.
He was about to pull it out guiltily.
“It’s okay if you tell it while touching me.”
He seemed to understand Tang Yue’s personal habits very well.
“I’m not like that!”
“You don’t have to touch me.”
Tang Yue felt that taking advantage of someone didn’t matter how big or small, so he went along with it and asked in a small voice, “Can I touch other places?”
His hand was about to go down again. Jiang Shulu sighed, “We’ll catch a cold if we shower together in the middle of the night.”
“I’m not thinking about that now…”
Jiang Shulu let out an “oh.” “Then I was too eager.”
“That’s not it, I really want to, because it was very…”
He was a little embarrassed to say it again. The past was too long ago.
The pain could be beautified into a deep, intimate pleasure. Like a single drop of addiction, enough to make Tang Yue’s thoughts run wild.
Tang Yue’s voice became lighter and lighter. “Very… happy.”
It was hard not to do something in this atmosphere, but Jiang Shulu knew he couldn’t yet.
He also said in a low voice, “Then I’ll help you?”
“Then I’ll tell the story first?”
Jiang Shulu hummed in agreement.
He started from the interstellar world, a barren planet with a constant temperature, a world without flowers, trees, cats, and dogs.
Tang Yue was really not a very engaging storyteller. His story was as plain as his uneventful past.
Jiang Shulu listened seriously, but he couldn’t fight the fatigue from a day of long-distance travel and conference calls.
