Chapter 70 part 1

Jiang Shulu’s new company quickly entered the public eye amidst this whirlwind of media opinion.

Perhaps because the major apps were pushing notifications too frequently, after the Chinese version of the official website for Terra announced that Jiang Shulu would officially take over as CEO the next day, netizens flocked to the relevant threads to comment.

Old posts that had previously bet on the downfall of Jiang Shulu and Tang Yue were dug up and dragged out to be mocked again. Many original posters lamented that they had lived long enough to see such a plot twist.

So tomorrow is the day our Brother Jiang goes to his new company! Who was the one with no eyes? Who called him a soft rice man!

He said it himself! That he could eat Tang Yue’s soft rice or something. But Tang Yue’s endorsement fees are indeed sky-high now. Every time I pass that billboard at the Third Ring Tower, I have to take a few extra looks. He’s just too good-looking.

So which media outlet is interviewing them?! Is there a live stream?!

Some sisters are already planning to go watch at the Terra company building, woo woo woo! I heard it’s at ten in the morning! There might even be a ribbon-cutting ceremony!

Jiang Shulu’s speed is too fast. He basically swallowed up his old home in one gulp! My family had a partnership with the Jiang family before, and I heard it’s total chaos over there now. The old man seems like he won’t make it.

Jiang Shulu’s scumbag dad was arrested, so he must have actually harmed people, right? This ending!! He deserved it.

Any sisters going together tomorrow? I heard Tang Yue will be there too.

The internet was in an uproar, but the parties involved were following their usual rhythm: dropping the child off at school first thing in the morning.

When Tang Yue woke up, Jiang Shulu had just returned from dropping off Tang Mian.

Tang Yue: “Why didn’t you wake me?”

Jiang Shulu: “I called you. Even an invincible alien can’t handle it?”

Thinking of what they did after coming back yesterday, Tang Yue’s face flushed red again.

Al-although aliens had natural gifts, Tang Yue had completely overlooked just how ferocious Jiang Shulu’s ungentle roughness could be.

Especially now that everything that needed to be resolved was resolved. Tang Yue had been worried his wounds hadn’t healed yet, unaware that his concern was a bit excessive. Jiang Shulu, who had intended to treat him gently, simply couldn’t hold back.

Tang Yue reached out and grabbed Jiang Shulu’s tie, pulling the man down toward him. “That was an accident! Wasn’t I fine before?”

Jiang Shulu pinched Tang Yue’s chin and gave him a good morning kiss.

Unfortunately, a kiss on the forehead couldn’t satisfy Tang Yue at all. He rolled Jiang Shulu’s tie around his hand again, begging for a kiss on the lips.

Jiang Shulu moved his face away slightly.

Tang Yue: “You clearly said we could kiss every morning.”

Jiang Shulu: “But with where your hands are placed, it won’t be good if we continue, right?”

His forehead rested against Tang Yue’s as he gave him a hug. “The tie is all wrinkled.”

Tang Yue: “Change to a different one.”

Still sitting on the bed, holding onto Jiang Shulu’s shoulders, he closed his eyes and leaned against him, asking, “Do I have to wear a tie today too?”

Jiang Shulu: “Lin-jie already called me. Didn’t you charge your phone?”

Jiang Shulu reached out to fish for Tang Yue’s phone on the bedside table. He clearly remembered plugging it in for Tang Yue before they went to bed yesterday.

Tang Yue: “Didn’t you charge it?”

Jiang Shulu let out an “Oh” sound. “I was pulled back by you at that time.”

The curtains in the room hadn’t been drawn yet. The simple stick-figure dog wall clock Tang Yue bought looked completely out of place with the rest of the room’s style. The sleep-mode light indicated it was just past eight o’clock.

Tang Yue: “It’s because you were dawdling too much.”

Jiang Shulu chuckled, his hand stroking Tang Yue’s spine, still feeling that Tang Yue was too thin. He said, “Is that so? Who was the one saying it hurt one second and then saying it didn’t hurt the next?”

It was raining outside today. When Jiang Shulu came back from dropping off Tang Mian, his shoulders had gotten a bit wet, but Tang Yue really liked this feeling.

Carrying a bit of dampness, it easily made him think of many years ago, the feeling of being carried on Jiang Shulu’s back for the first time.

Tang Yue: “My brain wasn’t working at that time, I was just talking nonsense.”

Jiang Shulu: “Then when you said you’d love me forever, was that nonsense too?”

His caresses were truly skillful, easily making Tang Yue squint his eyes and hum in comfort.

Tang Yue: “That wasn’t.”

Tang Yue: “I’ve said I love you so many times, don’t you believe me?”

The alien from the constant-temperature planet was actually quite delicate.

But perhaps due to his constitution, aside from that scar on his abdomen, other marks didn’t stay for long.

This Tang Yue bit Jiang Shulu’s ear, and when the other man hissed in pain, he dragged him directly onto the bed: “Shulu-ge really has two faces. You squeezed my legs so hard back then, and now you’re asking me if it hurts.”

Jiang Shulu, having been exposed, smiled. Looking at the young man sitting on top of him, he was just about to reach out and touch Tang Yue’s hand when the phone rang.

Their ringtones were the same. Tang Yue answered it subconsciously, with a hint of displeasure at being disturbed, barking out a fierce “Hello.”

The agent on the other end: “What do you mean ‘hello’? Isn’t this Shulu’s phone? But I was looking for you anyway.”

Hearing it was Lin-jie, Tang Yue’s arrogant flames instantly extinguished, and he flopped back onto the bed.

Jiang Shulu’s shirt was wrinkled, so he decided to just take it off and change into a new one, casually taking out the clothes Tang Yue needed to wear as well.

Tang Yue knelt on the bed, watching Jiang Shulu’s back as he retrieved clothes from the walk-in closet, while admitting his mistake.

“I forgot to charge my phone.”

Lin-jie: “Did Shulu not charge it for you?”

Presumably, because Jiang Shulu was so watertight and thorough during their group days, everyone tacitly assumed that the Jiang Shulu who was with Tang Yue would continue his previous rigorous state.

Now, it seemed the persona of the man who never made mistakes was crumbling a bit.

Tang Yue uttered an “Uh” sound. “He did charge it for me.”

It was just that he was in too much of a hurry back then, wishing Jiang Shulu would come in immediately, so it seemed like…

Tang Yue: “It’s just that the plug wasn’t plugged in properly.”

He had just focused on charging himself.

Tang Yue’s voice got smaller and smaller as he spoke, scratching his head.

Jiang Shulu turned to glance at him. Tang Yue wasn’t wearing pants, kneeling on the bed just like that. His pajamas weren’t buttoned properly, and while his socks were still on, only half of one remained.

The weather had been cold recently. Even with the heating on inside, Tang Yue was used to sleeping with socks on. Just like before, he would wake up in the morning wondering where his socks had gone.

Jiang Shulu retracted his gaze, feeling that Tang Yue didn’t need to hint at all; he himself was easily confused by lust.

It wasn’t just Tang Yue who liked to cling; Jiang Shulu liked it too.

Lin-jie: “Why didn’t you tell me you were going to Shulu’s new company? The media has already contacted me.”

Tang Yue: “I forgot.”

Lin-jie didn’t intend to scold him. Their team was very happy that Jiang Shulu had achieved his current results.

She had watched both children grow up. Them being together had a bit of that ‘keeping the goodies within the family’ feeling.

Lin-jie: “Anyway, Shulu already told me.”

Tang Yue let out an “Ah,” and looked at Jiang Shulu again. The man was changing clothes, and there were scratch marks left by Tang Yue on his back.

Tang Yue subconsciously looked at his own fingernails. Didn’t I cut them?

It must be because Shulu-ge was too excessive.

I didn’t say he couldn’t do it, I just showed concern for his wound.

Lin-jie: “There are quite a few media outlets coming. We’ll be there too. You can come over first to get your makeup done.”

Tang Yue didn’t really care, giving a hum of agreement.

Lin-jie: “What about Shulu? Does he need styling?”

Tang Yue: “It starts at ten, isn’t it too late?”

Lin-jie: “Just a simple touch-up.”
