I Heard I’m the Only Healing Cub in the Interstellar Chapter 6

Chapter 6: The Little Tyrant’s Exclusive Lane

“According to the data, the Young Master should have hatched long ago. Now that he still hasn’t hatched, where exactly is the problem? Can’t you explain it clearly?!”

The adjutant paced back and forth in front of the incubation pod, chattering incessantly. The healer, who was helping to check the pink egg, rolled his eyes where the adjutant couldn’t see.

“Master Adjutant, I am a field medic, not a cub pediatrician. Regarding how to save time and rescue soldiers on the battlefield, I can give you a hundred different treatment methods. But asking me to give a deep explanation of why a cub hasn’t hatched… I’m sorry, that’s not my specialty.”

The medic adjusted the glasses on his nose. The bulging muscles beneath his clothes were visible to the naked eye. The adjutant’s mouth twitched. He had forgotten that this person had a history of punching a prisoner of war to death.

“Fine, you do your work. I’ll go find the Major General.”

The medic was very satisfied with the adjutant’s tactfulness and continued to observe the movements in the incubation pod. Looking at the pink egg enveloped in constant-temperature nutrient solution, the medic adjusted his glasses and looked through the holographic data in his hand, utterly perplexed.

“The fetal heart rate isn’t very active, but the vital signs are very normal. Usually, a cub who has awakened a Fierce Beast bloodline, even if they haven’t hatched, still possesses full destructive power. This cub’s aura, however… is very well-behaved?”

Half an hour ago.

Upon discovering that the inducer contained a source of pollution from a beastman’s self-detonation, Major General Shen had decisively chosen to annihilate the remaining bounty hunters. Then, amidst the stunned gaze of the adjutant and the others, he had charged directly into the giant Ghost Vine forest without any protection.

In less than five minutes, the Major General had returned to the surface, carrying a glowing pink egg in his arms. Before the adjutant could react, the pink egg was shoved directly into his arms. The adjutant’s heart almost jumped out of his throat as he held it with extreme care.

“Take him to the incubation pod and prepare for the return trip. If there’s nothing important, don’t disturb me.”

Major General Shen left, carrying a chilling scent of blood. From the adjutant’s angle, he could clearly see the veins bulging from the Major General’s neck all the way to his temples, and beast markings flickered across his cheeks. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw that the bandages on the Major General’s abdomen were almost soaked with blood.

The wound wouldn’t stop bleeding. Major General Shen’s abdominal wound had been caused by a beastman with rioting spiritual power. Generally, wounds caused by spiritual power were very difficult to heal; even with suppressors, it was hard to achieve a complete cure.

Thinking of the Young Master lying quietly in the incubation pod, who should have hatched long ago, the adjutant let out a long sigh. The Shen family was now being attacked from both sides, and the Young Master was in this situation. Sigh…

“Major General, at least bandage the wound first…”

Above the ground full of wreckage, the starship hovered. Amidst a wave of spatial distortion, it successfully made a jump. When it reappeared, it was already navigating within the interstellar tracks. The adjutant dragged his tired body to stand guard in the command room.

Knock, knock!

A knock at the door rang out.

Shen Zeyu snapped his eyes open, his sharp beast claws popping out as he surveyed his surroundings warily. Under the faint light reflected by the crushed energy stones embedded in the mechanical crevices, the simple and minimalist office area had been turned into a temporary resting place for Shen Zeyu by adding a folding bed.

Seeing his surroundings clearly, Shen Zeyu’s body relaxed, and he retracted his claws.

“Who is it?”

“Major General, it’s me.”

Through the door, the adjutant’s voice sounded a bit muffled. Shen Zeyu stood up, and the dim room immediately grew bright.

“Major General, we just arrived at the nearest space station when we received a plea for help from Sang Hu, the Royal Captain of the Guard for the Ikaruosi Empire. He wants to borrow our nutrient pod… Major General, your wound!”

Shen Zeyu touched his hand and felt something warm and wet. Looking down, he saw the wound on his abdomen was seeping blood. Moments later, the medic who received the news hurried to the command room to help Shen Zeyu bandage the wound.

Shen Zeyu took the suppressor handed over by the medic and, without changing his expression, neatly stabbed it into his arm.

“Major General, suppressors can only suppress. It’s best to avoid using bloodline beastification for a while; otherwise, I fear it will leave uncontrollable hidden dangers.”

“It’s fine. You go on with your work.”

Doctors hate patients who don’t follow medical advice the most. He adjusted his glasses and was about to speak. Sensing the Major General’s displeasure, the adjutant stepped forward and pulled the medic away. A moment later, he saw the adjutant leading a group of people over.

They wore long swords at their waists, their faces were resolute, their backs were straight, and their steps were synchronized. The leader was a burly man with a tiger’s back and a bear’s waist. He walked in carrying a person whose face was obscured by a black hood. A scent of blood hit them head-on. This was a group of ruthless people who had fought their way out of a savage beast swarm.

“Major General Shen, hello. I apologize for the intrusion today. We wish to borrow your star’s nutrient pod for an emergency. We will definitely repay you tenfold after returning to the Ikaruosi Empire.”

Shen Zeyu nodded. As Sang Hu walked past Shen Zeyu, a strand of dazzling red hair slipped out from the black hood. Shen Zeyu looked up. Pale and beautiful, with skin like jade and bones like ice—it was a face belonging to a green, youthful boy.

“The Tyrant Prince?”

“Major General Shen, our Crown Prince has already ascended the throne,” Sang Hu reminded him.

Shen Zeyu retracted his focus. Watching the adjutant lead Sang Hu and his group toward the medical room, he returned to the command room, his hands forming a steeple as he fell into deep thought.

The Ikaruosi Empire was different from the Federation, which was composed of many planets. The Federation had a common government agency, but each member maintained a certain degree of autonomy. Composed of multiple independent planets, they advocated freedom and democracy and opposed the oppression of any force. Ikaruosi was different; they were a typical monarchy, and the people of the entire country had a blind obedience to the royal family. They lived for the royalty and died for the royalty.

However, in some ways, the Ikaruosi Empire and the Federation were similar. That was the severity of internal struggles. The Ikaruosi Empire had recently undergone a change of power, and rumors said the one who ascended was the fifteen-year-old “Tyrant” Li Heng. This Li Heng had awakened a rare SS-grade bloodline at birth and was born a Crown Prince.

However, influenced by the SS-grade Fierce Beast bloodline, his personality had been fierce, arrogant, and rebellious since childhood. The King of Ikaruosi was both proud of his talent and plagued by his temperament. When he was still the Crown Prince, the servants in his palace were changed daily. For no other reason than the Crown Prince’s violent temper; as long as he showed a hint of bloodline power, not a single servant in the palace remained standing.

In a more serious incident, because of a single sentence from his own aunt, he had directly crushed her mental consciousness, turning her into a lunatic. Therefore, the people of Ikaruosi worshipped the Crown Prince but dared not approach within half a meter. Li Heng’s violent nature did not lessen as he grew; instead, it became increasingly uncontrollable. On the day of his coronation, his bloodline beastification suddenly rioted, almost killing half the royal family.

The Ikaruosi Empire was in internal turmoil, and the Emperor himself, who had caused all this, was missing. If it weren’t for the Interstellar Peace Alliance agreement and the Federation being preoccupied with its own affairs, given Ikaruosi’s current leaderless state, those old guys in the Federation who wouldn’t release a hawk until they saw a rabbit would have definitely torn off a large piece of meat.

Unexpectedly, the Ikaruosi Emperor, who had been missing for several days, had appeared here with the Captain of the Guard. Shen Zeyu had taken a look just now; this little tyrant’s condition was even worse than his own.

Shen Zeyu only ran through the little tyrant’s situation in his mind before tossing it aside. He buried his head in processing the mountain of documents. He pinched the bridge of his nose, the beast markings under his neck appearing clearly, his expression slightly impatient.

Just then, the door was burst open.

“Major General, the Young Master has been snatched!”

Shen Zeyu: “?!”

Shen Zeyu strode into the room only to see the little tyrant of the Ikaruosi Empire holding his own unhatched younger brother. His bloodline beastification was like a drawn bowstring, the arrow wrapped in scorching flames, aimed at everyone from every angle.

Shen Zeyu: Damn it, he must have been brain-dead to take in this disaster!

Sang Hu, the Royal Captain of the Guard, was painstakingly trying to persuade him. “Your Majesty, please calm down. We are safe now; no more danger will appear. So, can we please put down that egg?”

The medic stared nervously at the egg in Li Heng’s hands, nodding in agreement. “Yes, yes, yes, it’s very safe here. Your Majesty of Ikaruosi, could you please put down my young master? He is still in the hatching period. At this time, the cub is very fragile and cannot stay in an area where bloodline beastification is deployed for too long.”

God knows, in the blink of an eye, this little tyrant had rushed into the incubation room and snatched the Young Master! The Ikaruosi Empire really was a bunch of interstellar bandits!!

The small medical room was filled with the Emperor of Ikaruosi’s spiritual power. The group of Ikaruosi people brought by Sang Hu, along with the adjutant and the medic from the Federation side, could only retreat to the doorway. Before the little tyrant even launched an attack, cracks had already appeared in the outer walls of the medical room—showing the terrifying nature of SS-grade spiritual power.

Other lower-grade beastmen couldn’t stand the pressure brought by the SS-grade spiritual power and could only avoid its brunt. But that didn’t mean Shen Zeyu was afraid. Shen Zeyu looked at the pink egg in the little tyrant’s arms and frowned, his black military boots stepping into the room.

Li Heng, who had been hanging his head in silence, looked up. His brilliant gold pupils instantly locked onto Shen Zeyu.

Shen Zeyu said bluntly, “Your Majesty of Ikaruosi, please return my brother to me.”

Li Heng tightened his hold on the pink egg, expressing his refusal with silence.

In an instant, the aura of a king of the night—lurking in the shadows, waiting for prey, and hitting the mark in one strike—spread from Shen Zeyu. Wind rose from the flat ground, as sharp as blades, scratching lines of blood across everyone’s skin. A great battle was on the verge of breaking out.

Sang Hu quickly stepped forward. “Major General Shen, wait—”

Before he could finish, Shen Zeyu appeared in front of Li Heng in the blink of an eye, grabbing the pink egg and pulling it toward his own arms. However, as he approached the pink egg, the bloodline power enveloping his body avoided the egg. Shen Zeyu was surprised to find that Li Heng’s bloodline power also carefully avoided the pink egg.

Each of them held one end of the egg. The ultra-S-grade spiritual power that could easily destroy a planet collided solidly, intending to draw blood, yet they tacitly bypassed the pink egg. It was also because of their actions that, by some strange coincidence, a natural protective barrier formed around the pink egg, shielding it from the pressure of the Fierce Beast bloodlines.

Others weren’t as lucky; as the aura of the two Fierce Beasts spread, they almost fainted from the pressure.

Shen Zeyu’s dislike for the little tyrant decreased by one point, but only by one point. His own brother was still better off staying by his side. Even if he felt that brothers were annoying creatures—always breaking this or that, and needing a beating every three days—Marshal Shen was usually busy with official duties and had no time to look after the children. As the eldest brother, he was the one in charge of his sister and brothers. Although they were usually looked after by a nanny, he was the one “wiping their butts” when it came to fights or being called to school by teachers.

It had finally reached the point where the second child knew how to help share the family’s burden, but there was still a “Demon King” at school. If he added this unhatched “Demon King 2.0,” then…

Shen Zeyu felt his breath hitch, his vision going dark. He could foresee that his future would involve even more endless worry. But what could he do? The destructive power of an awakened S-grade Fierce Beast bloodline was just that ferocious. Even if another “Demon Seed” was added to the family, that was still his brother.

Shen Zeyu took a deep breath and said, “Let go!”

Li Heng didn’t back down an inch. “He. Is. Mine!”
