IT’S SO GOOD TO MEET YOU CHAPTER 11

Chapter 11

Qi An found some leftover wood in the treehouse.

“I’ll make a wooden amulet.”

Meanwhile, Su Jue, exploring the castle, came to a room. She was amazed by the room full of dolls, doll clothes, miniature dollhouses, and all sorts of toys—a miniature toy paradise.

“It seems Miss Lin had a very happy childhood,” Su Jue sighed, touching a doll.

The cameraman nodded. If his daughter saw this, she’d probably go crazy with joy. Some people are just luckier than others.

Su Jue picked up a piece of fabric and a sewing kit, and she made her decision.

Lin Lai, also in the castle, was in the basement wine cellar, which had a small bar with various liquors on the shelves.

Lin Lai, like a skilled bartender, expertly mixed a drink, her movements smooth and elegant.

Lin Lai looked at the blue liquid in the glass bottle. Under the light, it was beautiful.

“Queen Ji should like this.”

Lin Lai chose to ignore the possibility that Ji Muyulan wouldn’t find this drink.

Ji Muyulan was making a flower crown with the flowers she had picked, sitting on a rock, admiring the distant scenery.

“It would be nice to live here, carefree.”

Time passed slowly. Qi An and the others prepared their gifts and gave them to the program crew to hide.

Qi An and the others reappeared in the castle’s main hall. Zhong Haoli strolled out leisurely; he had taken a nap.

“Everyone, it’s noon. Let’s have lunch before looking for gifts. Lunch is provided by the program team this time,” Li Xiang said with a smile.

“The program team is providing lunch? I’m not expecting much,” Ji Muyulan laughed.

“The program team may be stingy, but they still have a conscience,” Li Xiang said.

With that, the program team members placed seven large bowls on the table.

“It’s noodles? This is your conscience, program team?” Ji Muyulan said.

“Look at the portion size, and the amount of beef! Doesn’t that show we have a conscience?” Li Xiang winked.

“You’re definitely more conscientious than restaurants,” Qi An said, looking at her large bowl of noodles.

“It smells good. It should taste good.”

After Ning Nan said this, he took a bite of the beef noodles.

“Yes, it’s quite delicious.”

Seeing this, Fang Hua also started eating, “It’s really good.”

Others also started to eat.

Su Jue took a bite and found it a little spicy, but the flavor was good. However, she didn’t usually eat spicy food, so her face turned slightly red.

“Drink some water.”

Qi An was about to pour herself some water when she saw Su Jue’s expression and poured her a glass as well.

“Thank you.”

Su Jue took the water and drank a sip, diluting the spiciness. She looked at Qi An, who was drinking a large mouthful of soup without changing her expression, with a look of enjoyment.

Does she really like spicy food?

Qi An found the spiciness just right. She liked a little spice, and this level was perfect. Where did the program team find this chef?

Ning Nan hadn’t forgotten what happened this morning. Seeing the improved relationship between Qi An and Su Jue, he felt threatened. How did Qi An do it?

After eating, everyone rested for a while before heading to the small amusement park to find gifts.

The small amusement park was surrounded by trees and included a carousel, a trampoline, a foam pit, a slide, and most notably, a small Ferris wheel.

“Alright, everyone, let’s get started,” Li Xiang said.

“Sister Qi, I’ll go look over there,” Lin Lai said.

“Okay,” Qi An nodded.

Qi An went to the carousel and sat on one of the horses.

“This is a good idea. When the company makes money, I’ll build one too.”

Zhong Haoli saw Qi An sitting on the carousel. He wanted to go over but didn’t.

After all, they were filming. His father had scolded him last night, and Qi An now inspired a sense of fear in him.

Let’s find the gifts first.

Su Jue walked slowly, leaning against a tree, seemingly unhurried.

Ji Muyulan went into a small coffee shop, looking at the coffee beans on the shelves and the coffee machine on the counter.

“This castle really has everything.”

“Hmm, what’s this blue liquid? It’s a bit cold.”

Ji Muyulan saw a flash of blue hidden among the coffee beans. Curiously, she took it out and found it was cold to the touch.

“Lin Lai’s Special Blueberry Liqueur.”

Ji Muyulan read the label, removed the cork, and took a sniff. There was a faint blueberry fragrance.

“Is this Lin Lai’s gift?”

Ji Muyulan took a sip and instantly fell in love with the taste.

She loved this gift.

Qi An looked at the Ferris wheel, “Could the gift be hidden on it?”

A gust of wind blew, causing leaves to fall from the trees.

Su Jue was standing under a tree, and leaves fell on her head.

She brushed the leaves off and moved away from the tree. Looking up, she saw something on the tree.

“Su Yinghou, have you found your gift?” Ning Nan walked over.

“Not yet, how about you?” Su Jue said.

“I’ve already found mine. Need my help? The program didn’t say we couldn’t help each other,” Ning Nan smiled.

“That’s true.”

“But I’ve found a gift, it’s just up in a tree,” Su Jue said, looking up at the tree.

“There seems to be something there. Let me see if I can knock it down.”

Ning Nan kicked the tree hard, causing a shower of leaves and a dark red object to fall, landing right in front of Su Jue.

Su Jue curiously picked it up: a dark red wooden amulet, with a pixiu carved on the front and the character “An” on the back. A familiar scent reached her nose.

“Lipstick.”

It was the scent of the lipstick she gave Qi An.

Ning Nan brushed the leaves off himself and saw Su Jue looking intently at a small wooden tag.

“Su Yinghou, is that a gift?”

“I think so.”

Su Jue silently put the amulet in her pocket.

“Thank you.”

“You’re welcome. Su Yinghou is a great beauty. It wouldn’t be good if you got punished,” Ning Nan smiled.

On the other side, Qi An removed a handkerchief from her face.

A gust of wind had blown something from the Ferris wheel onto her face.

A light blue cotton handkerchief, embroidered with bamboo and the character “Jue.”

“Is it from Su Jue?”

The director, who was filming, was excited, “Did you get it all?”

“Yes.”

“Put these two shots together; it will be iconic. Such a coincidence!”

Fang Hua looked at the seashell necklace in his hand, uncertain, “This should be a gift, right?”

Lin Lai, wearing a flower crown, entered the coffee shop and looked surprised at Ji Muyulan drinking her liqueur at the bar.

“Queen Ji, do you like the liqueur I made?”

“I specially made it with your favorite blueberries.”

“It’s very good,” Ji Muyulan smiled, pointing to the flower crown on Lin Lai’s head.

“And this flower crown is also pretty.”

“It looks like we’re going to win.”

“I knew this flower crown was Queen Ji’s gift,” Lin Lai happily came to Ji Muyulan’s side.

“It seems you’re a true fan. I’ll invite you to be a guest at my next concert.”

“Okay!”

Li Xiang reappeared, “It seems everyone found their gifts, except for one person.”

“Who?” Fang Hua asked curiously.

“Zhong Haoli, I’m sorry, you didn’t find a gift, so you’ll be punished,” Li Xiang said, looking at Zhong Haoli.

“Isn’t this toy a gift?” Zhong Haoli frowned.

“No.”

“Zhong Haoli, we’ll discuss your punishment later. Let’s see everyone else’s gifts first.”

Zhong Haoli was also curious who got his gift, “Who got my pendant?”

“I did,” Ning Nan raised his hand.

“It’s for a woman! What do you, a man, want it for?” Zhong Haoli said unhappily.

He felt disgusted that his gift was taken by a man.

“No choice, I thought I’d find something first, at least I wouldn’t be punished,” Ning Nan said with a wry smile.

“I got the seashell necklace,” Fang Hua took out the seashell necklace from his pocket.

“That’s mine! I didn’t expect you to get it,” Ning Nan said in surprise.

“Everyone else, please take out your gifts,” Li Xiang said.

“My gift was a liqueur, and I drank it already. But I know whose it is. It’s Lin Lai’s. The flower crown on her head is mine. We’ve won the grand prize!”

Ji Muyulan laughed, hugging Lin Lai, who was beaming.

“I’m afraid you’ll be disappointed; you’re not the only winners,” Qi An said.

She looked at the wooden amulet in Su Jue’s hand, “Su Yinghou, is this handkerchief yours?”

“It’s mine,” Su Jue nodded.

She was surprised that Qi An also got her gift but also felt it was natural; she had a feeling Qi An would get it.

Qi An smiled at the program crew, “Program team, you’re going to have to pay up big time!”

“Hey, where’s my gift?” Fang Hua exclaimed.

“Zhong Haoli stepped on it,” Li Xiang said.

“When did I step on it? I don’t know,” Zhong Haoli said resentfully.

Was the program team deliberately trying to smear him?

“Because Fang Hua’s gift was a leaf bookmark, it was blown to the ground by the wind, and you accidentally stepped on it,” Li Xiang explained.

“So that’s how it is,” Fang Hua said.

“Even if my bookmark was seen, it wouldn’t be considered a gift,” Zhong Haoli said coldly.

“I couldn’t think of anything else to make,” Fang Hua said awkwardly.

“First, congratulations to Su Jue and Qi An, and Ji Muyulan and Lin Lai for winning the grand prize. Zhong Haoli will be punished,” Li Xiang said.

“Now, let’s reveal Zhong Haoli’s punishment.”
