IT’S SO GOOD TO MEET YOU CHAPTER 3

Chapter 3

Qi An went to her room, turned on her computer, and began hacking into the scumbag’s computer. The scumbag liked to record videos of his sexual encounters; in the novel, the original female lead had a confrontation with the male lead because of these videos.

Qi An rapidly typed on the keyboard. Soon, the explicit images appeared on her screen.

“Disgusting,” Qi An said with disgust.

She pixelated the faces of the women involved, adding a close-up of the male lead’s face.

Only after completing all this did Qi An close her laptop. It was agonizing; she didn’t want to see those images even for a second.

Manager Li, waiting outside, impatiently said, “Qi An, are you done yet?”

“Yes, I’m coming.”

Qi An, wearing a black casual blazer and a white hat, a slight smirk playing on her lips, appeared before Manager Li, giving a gentleman’s bow and using her most seductive voice.

“My dear, you’ve been waiting.”

Manager Li was momentarily stunned. “Are you going to a fashion show?”

“You mean I’m going to show off my charm?” Qi An whispered in Manager Li’s ear, laughing softly.

Manager Li shivered involuntarily and quickly distanced herself from Qi An.

“My sexual orientation is perfectly normal. Go flirt with Su Jue.”

She had almost been captivated by Qi An.

“Of course, my sexual orientation is normal. I only like Su Jue.”

That was a lie, Manager Li, don’t believe it.

Qi An walked ahead, smiling. “Manager Li, aren’t you coming?”

Manager Li, watching Qi An who was completely different now, mentally berated her.

“Your sexual orientation is normal? Then there are no abnormal people left in this world.”

Qi An and Manager Li sat in a black car, leaving through a secluded back entrance.

“Welcome, reporters. We’re here to clarify the rumors about Mr. Zhong Haoli,” said an official with a smile.

Zhong Haoli sat expressionlessly. Since last night, some of his friends had been mercilessly mocking him.

“Haha, Zhong Haoli, you put in so much effort and got nothing! What a fool!”

“Didn’t our Master Zhong claim to be a romantic who could get any woman? He got played this time.”

“Humph, I’ll make Qi An fall in love with me and then dump her. Just you wait.”

“We’ll be waiting. If you can really make that gay Qi An straight, we’ll be impressed.”

He remembered the bet he made last night; he had to win.

He didn’t believe Qi An could escape.

The reporters found the official’s words amusing; Zhong Haoli’s scandals weren’t rare. They didn’t believe this nonsense. They came for Qi An; she was the real explosive news.

When Qi An appeared, all the reporters rushed forward, frantically taking pictures.

“Ms. Qi An, can you tell us the details of your feelings for Shadow Queen Su?”

“Ms. Qi An, what do you want to say about Mr. Zhong Haoli?”

“Ms. Qi An…”

“Ms. Qi An…”

Fortunately, she was wearing sunglasses; otherwise, her eyes would have been blinded.

Seeing Qi An surrounded by reporters, Zhong Haoli felt this was his moment.

“Everyone, make way. Let Qi An come over. Can’t you see she’s upset?”

Qi An looked at Zhong Haoli in surprise. He wasn’t angry with her? What was going on?

Qi An removed her sunglasses and said to the reporters, “I’ll answer your questions once I’m seated.”

The reporters made way for her.

Walking to Zhong Haoli’s side, she chuckled.

“You’re acting quite well.”

Zhong Haoli was startled but quickly recovered.

“An An, what are you saying? I’m not acting. Even if you don’t love me, I’ll still love you until you come back. I’ll wait for you.”

Qi An felt nauseous. “Sorry, I have an incurable case of ‘can’t go back.’ Goodbye.”

After saying this, Qi An ignored Zhong Haoli and went to her seat on stage.

Zhong Haoli, watching Qi An ignore him, was fuming but couldn’t vent his anger.

The reporters were ecstatic; they had captured everything.

The official, seeing both main characters, began.

“Regarding the rumors about Mr. Zhong, Ms. Qi An will clarify.”

Qi An took the microphone, her expression calm. “That’s right, everything I said was a rumor. Mr. Zhong is pure and virtuous; he’s still a virgin. Believe it or not, I believe it.”

Nobody actually believed it.

Manager Li, seeing Qi An on stage, felt uneasy. She was right; this woman had caused trouble again.

“I shouldn’t have believed her nonsense.”

The official and Zhong Haoli’s faces immediately changed. What was she saying?

“Ms. Qi An, are you satirizing Mr. Zhong?”

“Mr. Zhong, do you have any explanation for this?”

“Is Mr. Zhong really a virgin?”

The reporters, eager for more drama, were excited. Qi An hadn’t disappointed them.

Sweat beaded on the official’s forehead. “Ms. Qi An is joking, joking.”

“Ms. Qi An, isn’t that right?” the official said menacingly.

Zhong Haoli also spoke, “Qi An, I know you’re trying to get revenge, but don’t you know my feelings?”

“I really don’t know,” Qi An said, secretly using her phone.

Soon, all the reporters received a gift—a video.

A reporter excitedly looked at the video on his phone.

“Mr. Zhong, do you have anything to say about this video?”

“Mr. Zhong, is that you in this video?”

Reporter after reporter excitedly questioned Zhong Haoli; big news, big news!

Zhong Haoli panicked. How did they get this?

“That’s not me. It’s fake, fabricated,” Zhong Haoli denied hastily.

The official also knew things were bad. “This is slander. It’s a crime. We will use the law to prove our innocence.”

Qi An spun her hat, amusedly watching the scene unfold.

Let’s see how you turn this around.

The press conference was in chaos. Manager Li tried to mediate, glancing at Qi An, who was watching the drama. This couldn’t be related to her, could it?

“This is infuriating!” Su’s mother watched the television, furious.

“Jue, don’t worry. Your dad has gone to the Zhong family to break off the engagement.”

Su Jue looked at Qi An, who was enjoying the spectacle, and was stunned.

Was this the real Qi An?

“Jue, I’m talking to you,” Su’s mother said strangely, noticing Su Jue’s daze.

“Mom, I understand. But with Zhong Haoli causing this mess, will Mr. Zhong agree?” Su Jue said, snapping out of it.

“Breaking off the engagement at this time will cause trouble for the Zhong Corporation. Mr. Zhong probably won’t agree.”

Su’s mother realized this too.

“He’ll have to agree. He can’t ruin my daughter’s reputation because of his son. I’ll call your father.”

Su’s father took a sip of tea. “Old Zhong, let’s call it off between Jue and Haoli.”

“Did Haoli do something wrong to Jue? I’ll go teach him a lesson. I’ve known Jue since she was a child; I’m very satisfied with this future daughter-in-law,” Zhong’s father said hastily.

Su’s father shook his head. “It’s for Jue. She doesn’t like Haoli at all; I’ve been forcing her all these years. Now I won’t force her anymore. Haoli doesn’t like Jue either; we all see it. If they get married, my daughter will be the one suffering. So, let’s call off the engagement.”

Zhong’s father frowned. What Su’s father said was true, but he wasn’t willing to give up.

“Old Su, let’s give these two kids some more time to consider, okay?”

At that moment, Su’s mother called. After Su’s father answered, his expression darkened.

“I’m breaking off the engagement. Your son is too much.”

“Too much!”

Zhong’s father was shocked by Su’s father’s sudden outburst. “What happened?”

“Look at your phone.”

Su’s father left angrily.

“Old Su, Old Su.”

Zhong’s father couldn’t call him back.

Zhong’s father opened his phone, his eyes widening. After reading it, he threw his phone to the ground in anger.

“Damn it! Damn it!”

The internet exploded.

“Wow, that Zhong guy was really having a good time.”

“The pixelation was a bit excessive.”

“Who posted this?”

“Qi An’s words were funny. If Zhong was really so pure, there wouldn’t be any pure people left in the world.”

“Qi An’s style is different today. It’s a cool look.”

“Look at this video; it’s amazing!”

A netizen edited the video and added music.

“That gaze is so captivating.”

Unintentionally, the conversation went off-topic.

“Look! Su Corporation issued a statement that Su Jue has broken off her engagement with Zhong Haoli!”

“Really? Is it true?”

“Let’s go check it out.”

“I say, they should have broken off the engagement a long time ago.”

“It’s not too late now.”

When Zhong’s father returned home and saw Zhong Haoli, he lost his temper immediately.

“You scoundrel! You caused me so much trouble!”

“I’ll beat you to death!”

Zhong’s father searched for a while, finally grabbing a rolling pin from the maid.

“Dad, Dad, I’m wrong!”

Zhong Haoli quickly admitted his mistake; he knew he was in big trouble this time.

“Old Zhong, stop it, stop it! Let’s talk things over,” Zhong’s mother stopped him.

“The Su family has broken off the engagement. It’s all your fault!” Zhong’s father threw the rolling pin at Zhong Haoli.

“I don’t like Su Jue anyway,” Zhong Haoli said.

“You dare say that? How much damage did this engagement break do to the company?” Zhong’s father pointed at Zhong Haoli’s nose.

“Old Su is really something, breaking off the engagement at this time,” Zhong’s mother complained.

“If it were you, wouldn’t you?” Zhong’s father roared.

Although he said that, he felt relieved.

Qi An, seeing Su’s family’s statement online, was excited.

“They broke up! They broke up!”

Now Su Jue could act and live well.
