Chapter 6: Carrying and Hugging Weigh the Same
Achi was overthinking things; Mu Mu couldn’t possibly be a minor. If he were, the boss wouldn’t dare hire him.
After all, the Empire had a well-established social welfare and legal system. Except for resource-scarce and impoverished remote planets, and the lawless criminal haven of No Return Star, which dared to ignore the law and employ child labor, no other planet dared to touch this red line.
Achi knew this, but the child in front of him was too small in appearance, bone structure, and height. As Yan Gui Xing’s deputy, he couldn’t help but worry a little more for his superior general.
Although his superior general’s usual absurd behavior was among the best in the military, often attracting criticism, the general election was imminent, and he couldn’t afford to have a scandal.
While Achi was worrying himself sick for Yan Gui Xing, the man in question saw Mu Mu run towards him, bouncing like a pet dog greeting its owner. The nameless anger in the private room subsided, and he even good-naturedly curled his lips into a smile.
He looked at the small figure standing before him, the lake-green eyes hidden in the darkness, now dyed a dark shade by desire.
So cute, I wonder if he’s this cute in bed? Yan Gui Xing silently thought.
Poor Mu Mu didn’t know that the handsome man in front of him was a lecher in sheep’s clothing, thinking him to be a kind and gentle gentleman.
“Sir, I left in such a hurry earlier that I didn’t properly thank you. Thank you so much for helping me. If it weren’t for you, I’d have to work for the shop for a very, very long time to pay for that wine. Thank you so much, you’re such a good person, I don’t know how to repay you.”
Yan Gui Xing was too tall for Mu Mu, who could only look up at him, his jaw and neck forming a seductive line, tempting one to grasp that sun-kissed section of his neck.
Moonlight fell into his round, almond-shaped eyes, perfectly revealing the sincerity and honesty within, rekindling the desire that had almost died down in Yan Gui Xing.
He observed Mu Mu’s expression, tentatively taking a step forward, shortening the distance between them.
Seeing Mu Mu didn’t mind his approach, he brazenly encroached upon Mu Mu’s personal space, his tall figure completely overshadowing Mu Mu, his intentions clearly aggressive.
Unfortunately, Mu Mu was a slow-witted little fool. He didn’t think much of the light being blocked by Yan Gui Xing, only looking up at him.
“Want to repay me?” Yan Gui Xing chuckled, leaning down, his palm covering Mu Mu’s head, gently rubbing it.
The freshly washed hair was soft and fluffy, the usual roughness from lack of care almost imperceptible.
After carefully feeling the soft touch with his palm, Yan Gui Xing pretended to withdraw his hand, making up for the previous lack of touch.
Actually, when Yan Gui Xing’s hand landed on his head, Mu Mu’s childhood trauma of being bullied by other children pulling his hair caused him to stiffen for a moment, wanting to dodge the hand on his head.
But the hand on his head was large and warm, and the stroking motion was very gentle, much like his father’s hand from his memory. He craved the warmth and didn’t dodge.
When Yan Gui Xing finally removed his hand, he felt a little disappointed.
Of course, he was not good at hiding his emotions. What he felt was shown on his face, the slight reluctance and disappointment were seen by Yan Gui Xing, making the man itch even more.
However, Yan Gui Xing was very mischievous and wasn’t willing to let the child get rewarded so easily. He deliberately ignored Mu Mu’s eager gaze and teased him, “Hmm? No answer? Don’t want to? So, offering to repay me was just lip service?”
Mu Mu quickly shook his head like a rattle, his soft voice rising slightly as he hurriedly explained, “No! Mu Mu wants to, Mu Mu wants to repay you.”
Yan Gui Xing hadn’t seen someone so playful and to his liking in a long time. The corners of his lips curled into a mischievous smile. He deliberately leaned down, stopping just before his nose touched Mu Mu’s.
The strong, pungent smell of liquor mixed with the crisp scent of ice and snow filled the air. The close-up lake-green eyes were like a beautiful yet deep and dangerous lake, instantly causing Mu Mu’s face to redden and his eyes to widen.
Too close!
Mu Mu belatedly realized the issue of distance, but it was too late. He felt like a boiling kettle, his head ringing.
He wanted to retreat, but was afraid it would be impolite. He wanted Yan Gui Xing to move away, but couldn’t speak, only tightly pursing his plump lips, looking helplessly at the captivating yet dangerous emerald green lake.
Yan Gui Xing watched Mu Mu’s helpless appearance, a smile in his eyes, his red lips moved, but the repayment method he proposed left Achi and the others behind him looking helpless.
“Then it’s good that I have a favor to ask of you.” As Yan Gui Xing spoke, his body softened, and the tall man fell onto Mu Mu, scaring Mu Mu so much that his scalp tingled and his hair stood on end. He hurriedly opened his arms and caught the man in a full embrace.
“Sir, are you alright?”
“Sorry, I’m drunk and a little unsteady on my feet.” Yan Gui Xing apologized, but he leaned comfortably against Mu Mu, who was more than ten centimeters shorter. “Could you carry me to the flyer? I can’t walk.”
Achi: […]
Yan Gui Xing originally wanted to say “carry me in your arms,” but he knew how heavy his muscles and bones were. Mu Mu’s thin arms couldn’t possibly carry him, so he changed it to “carry me on your back.”
Yan Gui Xing forgot the saying, “Carrying on the back and carrying in the arms weigh the same.” If Mu Mu couldn’t carry Yan Gui Xing in his arms, he couldn’t carry him on his back either.
Unfortunately, Mu Mu was eager to repay his kindness, ignoring the difference in size between himself and Yan Gui Xing, and the presence of those burly men behind him, immediately agreeing.
He blinked his bright eyes at Yan Gui Xing, a sweet smile curving his lips, giving Yan Gui Xing a second “good person” card.
“Sir, you’re such a good person!”
Yan Gui Xing: […]
Mu Mu walked in front of Yan Gui Xing, bent down, and spread his arms behind him, gesturing for Yan Gui Xing to get on his back.
That narrow back looked quite pitiful. Achi and the others exchanged glances, took a step forward, and looked at Yan Gui Xing hesitantly.
But Achi only hesitated and didn’t say anything more.
Yan Gui Xing, in high spirits, ignored Achi’s unspoken objection and leaned onto the thin back. Although he controlled his weight, he still caused Mu Mu to bend down.
Fortunately, Yan Gui Xing cooperated, allowing Mu Mu to straighten up. However, Mu Mu was only 178 cm tall, while Yan Gui Xing was 192 cm, the 14 cm difference was all in their legs.
No matter how hard Mu Mu tried, Yan Gui Xing’s long legs dragged on the ground.
From the perspective of Achi and the others standing behind, Mu Mu’s small figure was completely invisible. Their usually image-conscious General was being dragged along like an oversized, heavy package, comical and ridiculous.
Yan Gui Xing himself didn’t mind at all, completely leaning on Mu Mu, his arms wrapped around the small child’s front, completely encircling him. His chin rested on Mu Mu’s left shoulder, and he squinted, looking at the child’s delicate and beautiful profile.
So cute and pretty. Just a little tanned, and his skin is a little rough. But it’s not a big problem; it’ll become tender with some care.
Yan Gui Xing’s hot breath sprayed onto Mu Mu’s ear and the side of his neck, hidden beneath his hair. Almost instantly, the milky white skin, rarely exposed to the sun, turned a vibrant red.
Yan Gui Xing happily narrowed his eyes, hiding the dark desire behind his eyelashes. However, the desire was quickly replaced by surprise.
Mu Mu’s unusual physical impairments were revealed to Yan Gui Xing as he walked under the weight.
Yan Gui Xing could almost confirm one thing: this beautiful child was a person with a disability.
