LITTLE FOOL CHAPTER 26

Chapter 26: Mr. Yan Comes to Save Mu Mu

The yellow-haired man clearly didn’t expect Mu Mu to refuse to hand over the brain computer even with a head wound. He hesitated, his clenched fist remaining suspended.

He turned to look at the others, seeking advice.

The red-haired man, who had spoken to the yellow-haired man earlier, narrowed his eyes, stepped forward, and without a word, kicked Mu Mu hard in the stomach.

“Damn it! No money?! You tell me you have no money?! I’ll beat it out of you!!”

The yellow-haired man didn’t expect the red-haired man to attack suddenly; his grip on Mu Mu loosened, and the kick sent Mu Mu flying backward until he hit the wall and slid to the ground.

Mu Mu felt as if his internal organs had been shattered, and his back felt as if it had been broken against the hard wall.

The pain from both sides caused Mu Mu to curl up, his whimpers mixed with pleas, pitiful to behold.

The yellow-haired man watched Mu Mu writhing in pain, his brow furrowed, his eyes showing a hint of fear and apprehension.

Unlike him, the red-haired man looked extremely excited, clearly exhilarated by Mu Mu’s suffering.

He wanted to step forward but was grabbed by the yellow-haired man, who whispered a warning, “You’re going too far.”

The red-haired man looked at the yellow-haired man unconcernedly, smirking, “Bro, why worry so much? We said we were going to fake it till we make it. It’s fine, it’s just a beating, he won’t die.”

The yellow-haired man seemed to agree, his grip loosening. The red-haired man seized the opportunity to shake off his arm.

He put one hand in his pocket, swaggering towards Mu Mu, who was curled up in a ball in the corner. He beckoned to the others behind him with his other hand.

“Looks like this little brat would rather die than give up his money. Let’s give him what he wants! Don’t hold back, beat him until he’s dead! I’ll take the blame if anything happens!”

Several young men who had been watching and whose violent tendencies were aroused, let out a cry, rushing towards the curled-up Mu Mu like hyenas who had spotted meat.

Punches and kicks rained down on Mu Mu; painful groans echoed among the crowd.

“Don’t hit me!”

“Help! It hurts! Waa! Stop hitting me!”

“Please! I really don’t have any money! Don’t hit me anymore!”

Mu Mu tried shouting for help and begging, but the blows became harder, his cries muffled in his throat. He even lost his hearing aid in the struggle.

The small, semi-transparent device fell from his ear canal. At that moment, Mu Mu’s world fell silent.

He couldn’t hear the men’s curses and shouts, the dull thud of fists and shoes hitting his body, or the sounds of passersby talking.

Mu Mu’s eyes widened as he watched the small device bounce and roll away. He desperately reached out to grab it.

My hearing aid, I can’t lose it! I absolutely, absolutely can’t lose it!

His desperation was seen by the young men, whose eyes were bloodshot, as defiance. They felt their authority challenged and became even angrier.

When his dust-covered fingers grasped the hearing aid, a relieved smile finally appeared on his pretty little face.

The next second, an almost bone-crushing pain in his ankle made his face change, causing a sharp scream.

Amidst his companions’ laughter, the red-haired man grabbed Mu Mu’s thin ankle, his fingers tightening, dragging the leg like a lifeless object.

The yellow-haired man, who had been silently watching, saw the red-haired man’s increasingly excessive actions, his temples throbbing.

He muttered a curse and stepped towards the red-haired man, wanting to bring the increasingly out-of-control situation back on track.

Before the yellow-haired man’s foot could touch the ground, a voice suddenly came from the alleyway behind him.

“What are you doing?”

A low, magnetic, elegant voice, with a nonchalant tone, sounded as if he were simply asking about the weather or the taste of a dish.

Yet, this voice, which a stronger night wind could have easily dispersed, shocked the yellow-haired man, freezing his heart and chilling his limbs. The blood drained from his face instantly, making him look paler than a dying man against his yellow hair.

He glanced at his companions, who hadn’t stopped, his expression revealing a hint of despair. Cold sweat had formed on his forehead, dripping into his eyes, burning with a sharp pain.

The yellow-haired man listened to the increasingly closer footsteps behind him, mentally preparing himself for five seconds before summoning the courage to turn around.

The alley was dimly lit. The man who had spoken walked from the brightly lit street into the darkness, his footsteps and tone equally nonchalant and relaxed.

He was followed by an unknown number of people. The yellow-haired man only knew that when they all entered, the light at the alley entrance was completely blocked.

When the man reached the yellow-haired man, he paused, slightly tilting his head to glance at him, casually saying, “Oh, so you’re bullying someone.”

The yellow-haired man, whose fear had reached its peak, immediately sensed the man’s anger and his legs weakened, about to kneel.

“Ge…General, I…this wasn’t…” He was about to say, “Following your orders,”

But the yellow-haired man’s words were cut short when a large hand covered his mouth and nose from behind, forcibly dragging him into the darkness.

The man coldly watched the young men, still lost in their actions and unaware of his arrival. He coldly said to the burly man behind him, “Achi, is this how you do things?”

He didn’t wait for Achi’s response before striding towards the young men who hadn’t stopped.

Achi hadn’t expected this to happen. He had carefully selected these men, who would satisfy Yan Gui Xing’s requirements while ensuring they wouldn’t go too far and hurt Mu Mu.

But judging from the current situation, his “optimal solution” seemed to have gone awry.

Achi was already stressed, and when he saw Yan Gui Xing’s true anger, he grabbed the red-haired man by the hair and punched him in the face. The man didn’t even cry out; he slumped like noodles and was casually thrown aside, also falling unconscious.

Achi didn’t dare let Yan Gui Xing do anything else. If they actually killed someone, he would be in trouble.

Achi quickly rushed forward, taking over Yan Gui Xing’s task. Yan Gui Xing, with no one left to beat, lightly glanced at Achi. Achi’s scalp tingled; his fists even weighed more.

Yan Gui Xing quickly went to the small figure curled up on the ground. Using the dim moonlight, he assessed the boy’s condition. He didn’t know why, but his heart clenched, and the anger in his chest burned fiercely.

“Mu Mu.” Yan Gui Xing’s voice was soft and gentle, but Mu Mu’s hearing aid had fallen out; he couldn’t hear him and remained motionless, his arms wrapped around his head.

Yan Gui Xing realized Mu Mu couldn’t hear him and stopped talking, instead touching his shoulder.

Though he hadn’t rescued stray animals before, he knew that when dealing with frightened animals, gentle movements were needed to make them feel safe and harmless.

The light touch on his shoulder made Mu Mu shiver, his body shrinking further, his throat emitting a faint, indistinct plea.

Yan Gui Xing waited quietly for a few minutes until Achi had subdued the young men and had them taken away. Mu Mu still didn’t intend to get up.

Yan Gui Xing lost his patience, his brow furrowing, his lips curling into a silent “tsk.”

He grabbed Mu Mu under his arms, ignoring his struggles, and forcefully lifted him. Mu Mu looked up in terror and vaguely saw Yan Gui Xing’s familiar and beautiful face. His heart finally settled.

“Is…is that Mr. Yan?” he asked cautiously.

“Yes, it’s me.” Yan Gui Xing held Mu Mu like a child, gently patting his thin back, feeling the slight tremor under his palm, soothingly coaxing him.

“Good boy, don’t be afraid.”

Mu Mu never expected to be saved, even less by Yan Gui Xing. Although he couldn’t hear what Yan Gui Xing was saying, he could tell from his lip movements that he was telling him not to be afraid.

His tense emotions relaxed, fear giving way to relief. He didn’t care that it was inappropriate to be so close to the man who had once offered to support him; he considered Yan Gui Xing a godsend. He tightly hugged Yan Gui Xing’s neck, burying his face in his neck, sobbing.

“Mr. Yan, did you come to save Mu Mu? Waa, Mu Mu was so scared, they hurt Mu Mu so much.”

Hot tears fell onto the sensitive skin of Yan Gui Xing’s neck, giving him a burning sensation.

The child in his arms let out animal-like whimpers of pain, pitiful and sad, making Yan Gui Xing’s heart melt, feeling that it wouldn’t be too much to comfort the child in his arms.

This feeling was novel to him; he paused for a moment before continuing to walk forward, gently soothing him.

“Yes, Mr. Yan came to save Mu Mu. Mu Mu doesn’t need to be afraid; Mr. Yan has driven away all the bad guys.”

Although Mu Mu couldn’t hear Yan Gui Xing, he could feel the comforting emotion conveyed by the hand stroking his back.

Once Mu Mu was in Yan Gui Xing’s arms on the flying vehicle, his emotions calmed down completely, falling into a deep sleep in his embrace.

Yan Gui Xing leaned back in his seat, adjusting the child in his arms, seeing the boy’s bruised and bloody cheek in the bright light of the air vehicle.

His smiling face turned completely grim, his beautiful features looking sinister and terrifying. He looked up, his lake-green eyes fixed on Achi’s back, his eyes filled with anger.

“Achi, didn’t you tell me that you chose these men because they were cowards and that beating someone up only involves a few slaps and kicks?”

A thin layer of cold sweat broke out on Achi’s forehead. He replied dryly, “Yes, boss.”

Yan Gui Xing looked at Achi intently, softly asking, “Can you tell me why half of Mu Mu’s face is ruined?”
