LITTLE FOOL CHAPTER 28

Chapter 28: A Fit of Rage for a Male Beauty?

After several days of longing and scheming, the person he so desired was sleeping in his bed. Yan Gui Xing felt incredibly pleased. After taking off his shirt, he slipped under the covers and pulled the sleeping Mu Mu into his arms.

To be honest, the feeling wasn’t exactly pleasant. Mu Mu was thin, with little flesh on his body; all Yan Gui Xing felt were bones. Holding him was quite uncomfortable.

But Yan Gui Xing was captivated, so he endured the discomfort, unwilling to let go. He held him and slept the whole night.

The next day, he woke up an hour later than usual. Yan Gui Xing found this unusual, and instead of getting up, he lay in bed and thoroughly examined the still-sleeping Mu Mu from head to toe.

Yan Gui Xing wasn’t overly suspicious or distrustful, but he was cautious. Although he had many past lovers, not everyone could share a bed with him until dawn.

Of the few who had spent the night with him, Yan Gui Xing couldn’t fully trust them, and thus he never slept until late; they always left early.

In a way, Mu Mu was quite impressive, managing to disarm Yan Gui Xing’s defenses in just one night.

Yan Gui Xing pondered this for a long time, but couldn’t figure it out.

He finally attributed his late rising to the fact that the person beside him was in a deep sleep, essentially a lifeless doll, and only then did he consider the matter settled.

Having reached a decision, Yan Gui Xing no longer had any reason to stay in bed. On a whim, he pecked Mu Mu’s forehead before getting out of bed.

When he appeared refreshed in the downstairs living room, he saw Achi slumped dejectedly on the sofa. He even jokingly teased him.

Achi had been on tenterhooks all night; his already not-so-bright mind was completely fried. Faced with Yan Gui Xing’s teasing, he dared not respond, only managing a forced smile.

Oh, and facing Yan Gui Xing’s invitation to breakfast, poor Achi felt a renewed pang in his stomach, which he thought had finally stopped hurting.

Achi followed Yan Gui Xing into the dining room with a bitter expression, obediently sitting below him. After thanking Xiao Ting for placing the breakfast before him, he began to eat, appearing proper but actually quite fidgety.

Yan Gui Xing didn’t usually eat much in the mornings, and it was past his usual breakfast time anyway, so he didn’t have much of an appetite. A glass of milk was enough.

Once he’d finished, Yan Gui Xing decided to have some fun at his aide’s expense. He propped his head up with one hand, his slightly narrowed sea-green eyes fixed on Achi, who was eating his breakfast with his head down. A playful, ambiguous smile curved his crimson lips.

“Achi, why are you eating so little? Did Xiao Ting not cook well? Tell me, and I’ll have it redone for you!”

Xiao Ting, standing behind Yan Gui Xing as a background prop, slowly formed a large question mark on his round face.

As one of Yan Gui Xing’s main sources of amusement, Achi naturally understood that this was a joke.

He swallowed a mouthful of bread, raising his head to give Yan Gui Xing a pleading look.

This nearly two-meter-tall, bear-like man’s attempt at pleading was not exactly graceful, but it was uniquely humorous and quite entertaining to watch.

Once his mischievous desire was satisfied, Yan Gui Xing stopped teasing Achi and finally brought up the matter Achi was most concerned about—how to deal with the gang of blonde men.

“Achi, although you didn’t handle things perfectly this time, you did accomplish your mission. I won’t punish you.”

The anxiety that had gripped Achi since Yan Gui Xing called his name immediately dissipated. For a moment, he felt like crying.

He couldn’t imagine the punishment he had spent all night dreading, fearing he’d have to flee to the lawless planet of Wu Hui Xing.

Fortunately, Achi only thought about fleeing; if he had dared to betray Yan Gui Xing for such a trivial matter and run to the criminal paradise of Wu Hui Xing, Yan Gui Xing would have personally piloted his starship to destroy Wu Hui Xing and drag him back.

“Thank you, Boss!” Achi excitedly pledged his loyalty. “Next time, I’ll definitely meet your expectations.”

Yan Gui Xing gave an indifferent smile, then continued: “As for that gang, I don’t want to see them on my Liuli Star again.”

He paused, the smile fading from his lips, his expression turning cold, his sea-green eyes darkening, becoming sinister and gloomy.

“No, that’s not quite right. I don’t want to see them anywhere in Imperial territory.”

Achi understood Yan Gui Xing’s meaning and his heart skipped a beat. He hastily said, “Boss, the General election is imminent. If there are any deaths, it’s easy for someone to exploit it.”

Yan Gui Xing’s already unpleasant expression darkened further, his brows furrowed as if a storm was brewing.

He stared coldly at a point in empty space, his long index finger tapping rhythmically on the white crystal tabletop.

The oppressive atmosphere in the dining room caused Achi to subconsciously hold his breath, his eyes fixed on that slender finger, his heartbeat synchronizing with the tapping rhythm.

The Empire has five five-star Generals, and they are re-elected every ten years. Five consecutive terms qualify one to run for Commander.

This year is an election year. The other four Generals and the numerous Lieutenant Generals vying for a General’s position had been scheming and maneuvering since the beginning of the year.

Only Yan Gui Xing did nothing, rarely visiting the capital star, indulging in pleasure on his Liuli Star.

With the election day approaching, Yan Gui Xing absolutely could not afford any problems, especially not a manslaughter charge.

Seeing Yan Gui Xing remain silent, Achi’s heart trembled, fearing Yan Gui Xing would lose his rationality and sacrifice those punks to win the favor of the disabled beauty.

He mustered all his courage and called out to his boss, hoping to bring back Yan Gui Xing’s straying rationality.

Achi had followed Yan Gui Xing from the border star all the way back to the capital star, surviving numerous life-or-death situations against Zerg and pirates, witnessing Yan Gui Xing’s mecha, the King Kong Bodhisattva, explode twice.

Compared to other useless Generals who relied on family influence, his boss was a truly deserving General!

Yan Gui Xing turned slightly towards Achi, his sinister green eyes falling on Achi’s face, staring intently until Achi’s fur stood on end.

Was Yan Gui Xing actually considering acting rashly for a male beauty, as Achi feared? The answer was, of course, no.

He was silent, pondering whether his Liuli Star had been infiltrated by other competitors.

It wasn’t that he was being suspicious, as he had also planted spies in the territories of his main competitors.

He had just received news that the Commander of the Second Legion, Seville Don Desimo, had snatched the fiancé of Wen Yu, the useless General from the Wen family, and had officially signed a marriage contract with the youngest son of the Qi family, the Imperial richest family.

In other words, Desimo, an old noble family, not only had glorious military achievements and commanded the powerful Second Legion, but now also had the richest family as his in-laws, making him incredibly powerful.

He had practically secured a General’s position.

This left only four positions. Yan Gui Xing, naturally, felt a sense of crisis, but he wasn’t in a hurry. He was waiting for someone more anxious than himself.

Yan Gui Xing blinked, and the sinister expression vanished, replaced by his usual nonchalant demeanor.

He curled his lips and said, “Don’t worry so much, you’ll age prematurely.”

Achi: “…” What the hell?! I’m doing this for whom?!

Yan Gui Xing picked up the neatly folded white napkin, dabbed his clean lips, casually tossed it on the table, and said, “Achi, you’ve solved the problem, I won’t interfere further. But I only have one requirement: those people must disappear completely from the public eye.”

Achi understood that this was Yan Gui Xing’s greatest concession and readily agreed. As for how to meet Yan Gui Xing’s requirements, there were countless methods.

A soft whimper, like a kitten’s cry, emanated from the quiet bedroom. Closer inspection revealed that the sound came from within the bed, concealed by the curtains.

Perhaps because he had slept too long, the young man nestled in the soft bedding couldn’t wake up. His head felt like a violently stirred mess, a dull, hazy ache.

His eyes moved restlessly beneath his eyelids. He tried to turn over, but the movement pulled at his wounds, causing a dull pain that made him pout his lips in distress and softly murmur, “It hurts.”

He turned his head, gently rubbing his cheek against the pillow as if comforting himself. Luckily, he rubbed his undamaged side.

However, the unfamiliar smooth feeling finally restored a sliver of clarity to the young man’s muddled mind.

This wasn’t my pillow. My pillow isn’t this soft, this smooth. It has rough little dog patterns on the edges.

No! He had been evicted by his landlord; the landlord didn’t throw out the little pillow that had been with him for many years when throwing out his belongings.

So, this is the small hotel room where An An and I were temporarily staying?

No, that’s not the hard pillow, rough from repeated washings, in the small hotel room; it could knock someone unconscious.

Where am I? The young man exerted considerable effort to finally open his eyes. In his blurry vision were unfamiliar blankets and pillows.

This isn’t the small hotel room!

Once Mu Mu realized this, the memory of being dragged into an alley and violently beaten flooded his mind.

He was startled; his already pale face from his injuries turned even whiter, a ghastly pallor contrasting with the gauze on his face and his wet, dark eyes, making him look incredibly pitiful.

Mu Mu struggled to sit up, but the movement caused him intense pain. His arms, supporting himself against the sheets, weakened, and he was about to fall back onto the bed.

At that moment, a large hand grabbed his arm, steadying him.

Mu Mu looked up in alarm, meeting Yan Gui Xing’s handsome and flamboyant face. After a two-second pause, he suddenly remembered that Yan Gui Xing had saved him last night.
