Little Fool Chapter 38

Chapter 38: A Peck~

After Achi left, Yan Gui Xing selected two shirts and a pair of pants from the clothes Achi had bought, choosing those he found somewhat acceptable.

Yan Gui Xing was possessive. Mu Mu was his new pet; his food, clothing, and daily necessities should naturally suit his tastes.

However, he had already unconsciously compromised when Mu Mu asked for his luggage. Allowing this pile of rags into his house meant many more compromises to come.

Furthermore, Yan Gui Xing found Achi’s statement to be true. He really didn’t have clothes suitable for the little fool. His clothes were meant for Mu Mu to wear at home.

If Mu Mu wore them out, Yan Gui Xing would probably be the first to go crazy.

These clothes were merely transitional for going out. Once he personally took the little fool to choose clothes, these ugly clothes could be relegated to the storage room.

The reason he put them in storage instead of throwing them away was because of Achi’s status as his direct subordinate.

Yan Gui Xing showed Mu Mu the two selected items. Mu Mu wasn’t picky, or rather, he had no sense of fashion, accepting any color or pattern.

Seeing the new clothes, Mu Mu happily hugged them in one arm and Yan Gui Xing in the other, giving him a somewhat incomplete hug.

“Thank you, Gui Gui, you’re so kind, you got Mu Mu new clothes.”

“My clothes don’t fit you; they’re too big, easy to trip over.” The slight knot in Yan Gui Xing’s heart was slightly loosened by Mu Mu’s hug.

He naturally wrapped his arms around Mu Mu’s waist, pulling him close. His gentle tone held a hint of disapproval. “Wear these two for now. I’ll take you shopping for new clothes in a couple of days.”

Mu Mu couldn’t wait to try on his new clothes.

He wasn’t shy at all. After pulling away from Yan Gui Xing’s embrace, he directly removed his shirt in front of Yan Gui Xing, revealing a pale, slender chest rarely exposed to sunlight.

As Mu Mu raised his arms to put on the shirt, the thin flesh outlined his sternum and ribs. It seemed that if the skin were any tighter, the sharp bones would pierce through.

Fragile, yet vibrantly beautiful.

Yan Gui Xing’s dark gaze fixed on the clean, soft pink hues on Mu Mu’s chest, but the next second, they were covered by the white fabric.

Yan Gui Xing’s eyelashes drooped, his left hand, resting on his leg, clenched into a fist; prominent veins stood out on his hand as he struggled to suppress the urge to tear the white fabric.

No need to rush; the person was in his grasp. Sooner or later was the same. Why rush?

“Oops,” Mu Mu tugged at the hem of the shirt; the ill-fitting garment looked like a sheet. “It seems a bit big.”

Yan Gui Xing looked at the oversized shirt that could fit two Mu Mus. He placed his fist against his lips and chuckled, “Indeed. It’s fine; I’ll take you to buy a proper one tomorrow.”

His earlier displeasure at the sight of the clothes finally vanished.

Ill-fitting clothes meant what? That Achi hadn’t paid excessive attention to Mu Mu beyond what he was told to do. Buying clothes for Mu Mu was merely to make it easier to take the little fool out.

In short, Achi was appeasing Yan Gui Xing, not Mu Mu.

Although Yan Gui Xing never doubted Achi’s loyalty, nor did he suspect Achi of having feelings for his lover.

But his possessiveness didn’t allow others to pay too much attention to his belongings.

Of course, situations changed if it was by his command.

Hearing that Yan Gui Xing would buy him clothes, Mu Mu quickly shook his head like a rattle. He was used to poverty and frugality; he usually wore a garment until it was worn out before buying a new one.

This shirt was new, the material soft, obviously very expensive. It was only a bit large, not a major problem.

Mu Mu said thoughtfully, “Mu Mu doesn’t need new clothes; this is a new shirt, just a little big. It’s okay; being large is cool, Mu Mu can wear it.”

Seeing Mu Mu’s compliance, Yan Gui Xing’s heart tightened; it felt like a thin electric current had struck his heart, a slight prickling sensation, not painful, but with a distinct presence.

A tenderness he didn’t realize he felt appeared in his sea-green eyes. He pursed his lips, pulling Mu Mu into his arms, his chin resting on Mu Mu’s soft, fluffy curls.

“Mu Mu is so good. But Mu Mu, don’t you remember? I’m your boyfriend now. It’s normal for a boyfriend to buy you things; Mu Mu just needs to accept them.”

“Ah?” Mu Mu’s face was buried in Yan Gui Xing’s chest, breathing in the pleasant, cool scent. He loved the smell and rubbed his face against the soft shirt like a small dog cuddling with its owner.

After hearing Yan Gui Xing’s words, he struggled to raise his head, his innocent gaze falling on Yan Gui Xing’s sharp jawline. “Is that so? Can Mu Mu accept things from Gui Gui?”

This wasn’t the first time Yan Gui Xing had heard a lover ask this question. His previous lovers, upon receiving the latest clothes, jewelry, or even the newest brain-computer interfaces and flyers, would feign humility and ask, “Did you really give this to me?” “Can I accept this?” “Isn’t it too expensive?”

But he knew that only Mu Mu’s question was genuine, and only he truly understood.

But being his person meant he didn’t have to be so understanding. Whether he was willful or spoiled, Yan Gui Xing would always be there for him.

But Yan Gui Xing knew that the little fool wouldn’t understand these words.

No matter; there would be plenty of time. He didn’t believe he couldn’t spoil a little fool.

But Yan Gui Xing hadn’t considered one thing: He didn’t want to sign a marriage contract with Mu Mu; he hadn’t planned to confine Mu Mu to his world forever.

What if a well-behaved and obedient Mu Mu became spoiled and willful, then abandoned? What would happen to him then? Wouldn’t that be too cruel?

Yan Gui Xing didn’t think about that now; his desires always stemmed from his own perspective, not for Mu Mu’s sake.

Whether Yan Gui Xing would change later was a matter for after Mu Mu left.

“Of course you can. I like Mu Mu; naturally, I want to give Mu Mu things.” Saying “like” for the first time felt weightless.

Yan Gui Xing found Mu Mu increasingly pleasing—his delicate and cute appearance, his clear almond eyes, and his plump, rosy lips, perfectly aligned with his aesthetic preferences.

Goodness, how could someone be so beautifully made? Why hadn’t he met this little fool before?

Yan Gui Xing cupped Mu Mu’s face, watching the plump lips purse into a small beak. A doting smile appeared on his brow, eyes, and lips.

Mu Mu, looking at the stunning face softened by a smile, thought carefully and said, “Mu Mu also likes Gui Gui. When Mu Mu earns money, he will buy Gui Gui gifts.”

Yan Gui Xing, rarely hearing such a request from a lover, was clearly startled. Seeing Mu Mu’s earnest gaze, his heart softened. He couldn’t help but lean down and peck Mu Mu’s rosy little beak.

“Alright, then I’ll be waiting for Mu Mu’s gift.”

The unfamiliar warmth on his lips caused Mu Mu’s eyes to widen in surprise, his pupils shrinking to pinpoints.

He stared blankly as the face enlarged and then returned to normal, his heart pounding uncontrollably, like a frightened rabbit about to break the bone cage.

Warmth belatedly surged from his heart to his neck and then to his cheeks, a light blush rising from the skin where his palm touched Yan Gui Xing’s.

Mu Mu didn’t know what was wrong. He nervously grasped Yan Gui Xing’s wrist, pulling his hand away from his face. “Hot, Gui Gui, my face is so hot.”

Yan Gui Xing didn’t understand what Mu Mu was saying. He obligingly removed his hand, seeing the blush rising on Mu Mu’s face.

So, he was shy. Yan Gui Xing couldn’t help but curl his lips, but fearing he might anger Mu Mu, he quickly suppressed his smile, pretending not to notice, while mentally planning to take the innocent, naive little fool completely later that night.

Mu Mu used his hands like fans, constantly fanning his face, muttering about how hot he was.

Yan Gui Xing glanced at the cartoon characters on the screen—cats, dogs, and rabbits—finding it boring. He casually made up an excuse about the air conditioning possibly being broken and asked Mu Mu if he wanted to do something else.

Hearing that Yan Gui Xing was leaving, Mu Mu no longer felt hot. Facing the screen, he sat upright, intently watching the cartoon, his lips slightly pursing in a nervous way. He softly asked, “Do what?”

Mu Mu’s simplicity meant his thoughts were written all over his face. If Yan Gui Xing didn’t understand that Mu Mu didn’t want him to leave, he wouldn’t be able to leave No Return Star alive.

He leaned towards Mu Mu, taking advantage of the sofa’s flexibility, twisting his body towards Mu Mu. He placed his left hand on Mu Mu’s head, rubbing it twice before saying, “Keep watching if you like; we can put other things off.”

Mu Mu, who had been listening attentively, relaxed his tense expression; his eyebrows and eyes crinkled happily.

He leaned closer to Yan Gui Xing, raising his right hand to show five fingers. “Let’s watch five more episodes.”

Mu Mu paused, looking at his five fingers, realizing his request might be excessive. He lowered one finger, leaving four.

Then he thought four might be too many, so he lowered another, leaving three.

“Let’s watch three more episodes, okay? Three is quick; it won’t delay other things.”

Yan Gui Xing was almost overwhelmed by Mu Mu’s cuteness. He rested his forehead against Mu Mu’s shoulder, smiling, “Five episodes is fine too. Mu Mu is so cute, you can watch as many as you want.”
