LITTLE FOOL CHAPTER 48

Chapter 48: Mu Mu’s “Good Person” Card

Scratches heal faster than other wounds; the tape could have been removed much earlier. However, Dr. Gongsun’s instructions were to let the scabs fall off naturally, to reduce the risk of scarring.

The newly grown skin itched, and Mu Mu often scratched his face.

Once, while Yan Gui Xing wasn’t looking, he peeled off a small piece of scab, tearing the new skin and causing a thin layer of blood to seep out.

Mu Mu didn’t mind and scratched the broken skin again, his fingernails completely tearing the small wound, making it hurt.

Coincidentally, Yan Gui Xing looked back and saw a thin streak of blood on Mu Mu’s face.

He nervously cupped Mu Mu’s face, seeing the torn wound. He was furious and that night, driven by anger and desire, he spanked Mu Mu’s bottom twice before calming down.

After that, Yan Gui Xing had Gongsun bring two breathable medical tapes, applying them for three days until the scabs darkened before finally removing them.

After that, Yan Gui Xing watched Mu Mu almost constantly, preventing his restless little hands from scratching.

At night, he held Mu Mu’s hands while sleeping.

Even with such careful protection, there were still uneven pink scars under the naturally fallen scabs.

Mu Mu didn’t care much about appearances. After the scabs fell off, he simply looked in the mirror to make sure there was nothing he could do and put it down.

But Yan Gui Xing couldn’t. He wasn’t disgusted by the scars; he was bothered by them. Seeing them felt like having a thorn in his heart—not very painful, but intensely uncomfortable.

Hearing Mu Mu say they shouldn’t treat his face, the thorn in Yan Gui Xing’s heart pricked him again. But he couldn’t take his anger out on Mu Mu, so he directed it at the slow Gongsun.

Gongsun, however, sensed the bad vibe and slipped away to fetch the treatment device.

Yan Gui Xing forcibly suppressed his anger, a gentle smile playing on his lips. He sat beside Mu Mu, holding his hand, his fingertips tracing the lines of Mu Mu’s palm.

“Mu Mu, why don’t you want treatment? Are you afraid of pain? The treatment device doesn’t hurt; it’s just a little cool, and it’s over quickly.”

The treatment bed was high; Mu Mu’s feet couldn’t touch the ground. He shook his head, his right leg swinging gently against Yan Gui Xing’s thigh.

“Mu Mu isn’t afraid of pain, it’s just…” Mu Mu heard the rolling sound of wheels getting closer. Looking up, he saw Gongsun pushing a metal cart, waving and greeting him with a smile.

“It’s just that Dr. Gongsun seems troubled, and Mu Mu doesn’t want to cause trouble for others.”

“Is that so?” Yan Gui Xing’s eyes narrowed, a hint of anger flashing. He held Mu Mu close, softly praising, “Our Mu Mu is so good.”

His cold, dark green eyes fixed on the doctor in a white coat, like sharp arrows pinning him to the ground, his crimson lips curling into a sharp arc.

Upon hearing Mu Mu’s words, Gongsun’s breath hitched, and he wanted to run away.

Seeing Yan Gui Xing’s smile, he wished he could travel through time, returning five minutes to assure Yan Gui Xing that he wouldn’t waste words when asked to fetch the treatment device.

Unfortunately, he was on Liuli Star, not in a time warp. He could only prepare for his boss’s anger.

Yan Gui Xing gave Gongsun a “you’ll pay for this later” look, his tone contrasting sharply with his icy gaze. “Since Mu Mu feels it’s troublesome, let’s ask Dr. Gongsun if we’re causing him any trouble.”

Gongsun, seeing Yan Gui Xing mention “trouble” again, felt like crying. He was ready to kneel to beg forgiveness for the “trouble.”

Mu Mu thought Yan Gui Xing’s suggestion was good and his dark eyes fell on Gongsun’s face. “Dr. Gongsun, can you please treat my face?” he asked sincerely.

Gongsun nodded with tears in his eyes. Seriously, he felt that their young madam was not a simpleton but a natural black-bellied one.

“Gui Gui, Dr. Gongsun agreed to treat Mu Mu’s face,” Mu Mu happily looked up at Yan Gui Xing.

Yan Gui Xing affectionately patted Mu Mu’s shoulder, then gave Gongsun a forced smile. “Yes, Dr. Gongsun agreed to help us.”

This time, Gongsun really wanted to cry, his face bitter as he pleaded softly, “Boss.”

Yan Gui Xing ignored Gongsun, lowering his head to speak gently to Mu Mu. Gongsun had no choice; he knew he would be spending time at the training ground.

He dared not delay any longer, pushing the metal cart with the treatment device to Mu Mu’s side. He applied the patch to Mu Mu’s face and adjusted the settings.

“Treatment commencing. Five minutes.”

Coolness spread from the patch to Mu Mu’s face. Mu Mu widened his eyes curiously; he had never used a treatment device before and dared not move, his round eyes darting around.

Five minutes passed quickly. The treated half of his face was restored—the creamy skin smooth and soft, showing no trace of scars.

Yan Gui Xing cupped Mu Mu’s face, his thumb gently rubbing the smooth skin, leaving a faint red mark. He felt the thorn in his heart finally lift, and he kissed the half of Mu Mu’s face twice. Gongsun watched silently, changing his mind.

Their boss likely liked Mu Mu’s face, not Mu Mu himself.

With Mu Mu’s face healed, Yan Gui Xing’s mood improved. He hadn’t had time to take Mu Mu out recently due to work, so Mu Mu had stayed home obediently.

Now that things had calmed down, he had some free time. “I’m free tomorrow, Mu Mu, where do you want to go?”

Mu Mu, remembering an advertisement he saw on the star network, looked up at Yan Gui Xing. “Tomorrow, Starryland Amusement Park is having a Star Baby theme event, with a parade. Gui Gui, can we go?”

Golden light shone in his dark eyes, making them sparkle like a starry sea.

Yan Gui Xing, gazed at by those eyes, had no reason to refuse. It was just an amusement park; even if Mu Mu asked him to build one, he would agree.

Seeing Yan Gui Xing’s agreement, Mu Mu happily threw himself into his arms, hugging his neck and kissing his face. “Gui Gui is the best! Mu Mu loves Gui Gui the most!”

“You only love me when I take you to the amusement park. If I don’t take you, you won’t like me?” Yan Gui Xing, receiving another “good person card,” chuckled, holding Mu Mu’s back.

Mu Mu shook his head, his curly hair against Yan Gui Xing’s cheek. “No~ Even if Gui Gui doesn’t take Mu Mu, Mu Mu won’t hate Gui Gui. Gui Gui is already so, so good to Mu Mu.”

Yan Gui Xing understood that Mu Mu meant the comfortable house, beautiful clothes, and delicious sweets.

He inwardly laughed at Mu Mu’s innocence; he was so easily pleased. There was no easier pet to keep than him.

Thinking this, Yan Gui Xing felt even more affection for the child in his arms. He lifted Mu Mu, who was clinging to him like a koala, and headed out.

Gongsun, who had been watching nervously, recovered and quickly followed, whispering, “Boss, I have something to tell you.”

Yan Gui Xing glanced deeply at Gongsun, then put Mu Mu down, tidying his rumpled clothes. “Mu Mu, go back to the main building first; I’ll be back later.”

[Author’s Note]: Yan Gui Xing has received enough “good person” cards to make a deck! (haha)
