LITTLE FOOL CHAPTER 50

Chapter 50: A Single Drop

Mu Mu smiled with curved eyebrows, “Gui Gui also said it was a kiss to wake a sleeping beauty. Gui Gui wasn’t asleep, not a sleeping beauty, so how can you kiss?”

Yan Gui Xing didn’t expect Mu Mu to see through his act, raised an eyebrow, and curiously asked, “You discovered I was pretending to sleep?”

Mu Mu nodded seriously, pointing at his lake-green eyes and saying, “Mu Mu isn’t really stupid. Gui Gui’s eyes were rolling around, of course you were pretending to sleep.”

Yan Gui Xing teased Mu Mu deliberately, “What if I was having a nightmare? Ah, Mu Mu, you’re so bad, you didn’t wake me up when you saw me having a nightmare.”

The smile on Mu Mu’s lips faded. He tilted his head, looking at Yan Gui Xing seriously. That gaze was too pure and transparent, causing Yan Gui Xing to involuntarily suppress his smile as well.

The atmosphere became somewhat stagnant. Yan Gui Xing wasn’t used to this kind of gaze and was about to say something to change the subject when he saw Mu Mu shake his head and speak.

“Nightmares aren’t like that. Mu Mu saw many children having nightmares at the orphanage, and Mu Mu has had nightmares too. They weren’t like Gui Gui’s.”

Yan Gui Xing’s expression went blank. He suddenly remembered the time when he avenged his mother, massacred the Hunter’s Guild, and escaped to the border star. Every night he was plagued by nightmares, waking up in a cold sweat, constantly shivering, his gaze vacant—indeed not like just now.

He laughed, “Our Mu Mu is not a little fool.”

“If Gui Gui has a nightmare, Mu Mu will hug you tightly and help you drive away those scary nightmares!”

The soft voice overlapped with the gorgeous voice, Yan Gui Xing’s smile froze, he stared blankly at the two small reflections in the dark eyes before him, his mind blank.

At that moment, Mu Mu cupped Yan Gui Xing’s face again, and soft lips fell on those lake-green eyes.

Yan Gui Xing subconsciously closed his eyes, and soft, warm lips fell on his crimson thin lips.

It was a very light, very light kiss, without any distracting thoughts. Yet, it made Yan Gui Xing feel more moved than the lingering kisses every night. He didn’t even have the urge to deepen the kiss.

If he could, he wished time could stop at this moment.

Unfortunately, Mu Mu didn’t hear his thoughts and soon ended the kiss.

He knelt up straight, hugged Yan Gui Xing’s head, gently pressed it to his chest, and said softly, “Mu Mu will always, always, always be with Gui Gui, so Gui Gui doesn’t have to be afraid of nightmares.”

Yan Gui Xing listened to the regular heartbeat beside his ear, not very strong, but healthy, closed his eyes, hiding the surging lake in his eyes.

The two embraced for a while before remembering that it was almost time for the park to open.

Mu Mu jumped off Yan Gui Xing and was about to get off the airship when he turned around and saw Achi huddled in the pilot’s seat.

Their eyes met. Achi gave an awkward smile, his large frame shrinking even more, looking pitiful.

Mu Mu was always frank about his feelings and didn’t think there was anything wrong with the intimacy just now, and openly smiled at Achi.

Achi looked at Yan Gui Xing standing behind Mu Mu, neither smiling nor not smiling. Finally, his lips curled into a smile more pathetic than crying.

“Boss, the park is about to open, we need to hurry.”

Yan Gui Xing, seeing his adjutant’s appearance, felt ashamed, and for the hundred and eighth time wondered why he chose such a thing as his adjutant.

The answer was still “loyal and obedient,” and Yan Gui Xing glared at Achi, put his arm around Mu Mu’s shoulders, and went down the gangplank.

As soon as Yan Gui Xing got off the gangplank, he was stunned by the almost full airfield, the people laughing and chatting beside the airships, and the families of three or four heading towards the amusement park gate with their children in tow.

He stepped back, turned to look at the gangplank behind him, and for a moment, he had the urge to escape back to the airship.

“Gui Gui, so many people,” Mu Mu was also surprised to see so many people, stepping back and leaning against Yan Gui Xing’s chest, looking up at Yan Gui Xing, and curiously asked, “Isn’t today Friday? Why are there so many people?”

Yan Gui Xing also wanted to ask this question. Wasn’t it Friday? Don’t these people have to work? Don’t the children have to go to school? How did he not know that Friday had become a legal holiday?!

Although Yan Gui Xing was the lord of Liuli Star, he mainly managed the military and army. Civil affairs were managed by the parliament. For major decisions, proposals were submitted to Yan Gui Xing for approval.

Furthermore, Yan Gui Xing was single with no children, didn’t care about education or schools, and didn’t know that all schools in the empire, except for schools, only had half-day classes. These half-day classes weren’t very important, and most parents and students chose to rest at home on this day.

Therefore, students in the empire actually had three days off a week.

Xingchen Amusement Park knew more about student holidays than Yan Gui Xing, which is why they scheduled the event to start on Friday.

Yan Gui Xing, in fact, was indifferent to children and had never thought about marriage or having children. Now, seeing so many children and hearing their laughter, his temples throbbed.

He regretted not having Achi inform the amusement park to close for a day, to give Mu Mu a special day to play.

Yan Gui Xing took a deep breath. He wanted to say that they should go back today and come again another day after the park was cleared out for them.

But seeing Mu Mu’s expectant gaze towards the bright sign in the distance, he couldn’t utter those words.

He held Mu Mu’s hand, embraced him, and softly comforted him, “Don’t worry about the crowd, we’ll go in through the staff entrance.”

Mu Mu curiously looked at the main entrance, then turned to Yan Gui Xing, holding his fingers in return, softly saying,

“I saw on the star network that amusement parks use small robots to issue electronic tickets, just a ‘beep’ on the optical brain. Can we go ‘beep’ too?”

With Mu Mu saying that, how could Yan Gui Xing say no?! He had brought Mu Mu here today to make him happy. He couldn’t possibly not fulfill such a small request.

Yan Gui Xing looked at the long line of people in front of the main entrance, gritted his teeth, and nodded, “Okay, let’s find a small robot.”

He held Mu Mu and walked forward, taking advantage of Mu Mu’s inattention to turn his head to look at Achi, Sha Xia, and the others following behind him. He gritted his teeth and silently said, “Go, get the park to get me a small robot!”

Achi and the others had been with Yan Gui Xing for a long time. They knew his temperament well and had already notified the park’s top management before leaving the villa.

Before Yan Gui Xing even got off the airship, Luo Tang had already coordinated with the park’s top management, who were waiting there. Later, it wouldn’t just be a ticket-selling robot; even if Mu Mu wanted to see the little robot dance, it could be arranged.
