Chapter 52: Let’s Go Inside
Yan Gui Xing looked at Mu Mu’s flushed cheeks and sparkling eyes through his tea-colored sunglasses, and couldn’t help but smile, praising, “Our Mu Mu is so amazing, come and buy a ticket for me too.”
He said, taking out his optical brain from his pants pocket and handing it to Mu Mu.
Mu Mu held Yan Gui Xing’s pocket watch-style optical brain in both hands, placed it against the little robot’s chest, heard a “beep,” and his smile became even brighter.
Mu Mu handed the optical brain back to Yan Gui Xing, suddenly remembering something. He poked his head out of Yan Gui Xing’s arms, looking at the man who had just instructed him how to buy a ticket, and seriously said,
“Thank you, were you talking to me just now? But Mu Mu’s surname is Mu, as in ‘envy,’ not Yan.”
The middle-aged man was stunned by Mu Mu’s unexpected remark. Usually glib in the business world, he was now speechless, his face flushed red.
Yan Gui Xing, through his tea-colored glasses, coldly glanced at the man who was eager to please him. He ruffled Mu Mu’s soft curly hair, held Mu Mu’s shoulders, and walked towards the staff passage.
“The tickets are bought, let’s go in. There will be more people lining up to take photos with Black Cat later.”
Hearing that there would be more people taking photos with Black Cat Mimi, Mu Mu forgot about the man telling him who Mrs. Yan was. He grabbed Yan Gui Xing’s arm and quickly walked towards the staff passage.
When Yan Gui Xing passed the red-faced middle-aged man, he softly sneered in a volume only they could hear, “Nosy.”
The middle-aged man’s red face instantly turned pale, knowing that he had failed to flatter and had offended the person.
The other executives were initially annoyed that they had been slow in their actions, allowing the middle-aged man to get ahead.
After seeing Yan Gui Xing finish speaking with the middle-aged man and his ugly expression, they were glad that it wasn’t them who had approached first.
They had forgotten that Marshal Yan’s temper was notoriously unpredictable and erratic. He could be laughing one second and angry the next.
However, they didn’t want to give up the opportunity to please Marshal Yan.
They patted the already eliminated middle-aged man on the shoulder one by one, then trotted to catch up with Yan Gui Xing’s group.
Mu Mu and Yan Gui Xing had been delayed at the entrance for a while. When they passed through the air-conditioned passage and entered the park, there were already two or three groups of tourists inside, and some of the popular large-scale projects had already started.
A rainbow-colored roller coaster sped through the blue sky, leaving behind a trail of screams and laughter.
Mu Mu tilted his head, watching the rainbow’s tail “whoosh” straight down from the sky, his eyes widening in surprise, and he let out a short scream.
Yan Gui Xing found Mu Mu’s startled expression amusing. He pinched Mu Mu’s cheek, pointed at the rainbow roller coaster that was once again climbing to its peak, and asked, “Mu Mu, do you want to play that?”
Mu Mu was engrossed in watching, raising his hand to brush away the hand pinching his cheek, “Wait a minute, Mu Mu is watching.”
Yan Gui Xing saw that Mu Mu was treating other people’s roller coaster rides as a movie, and he was amused, and also looked up.
Anyway, he didn’t have anything he wanted to play. The main thing was to keep Mu Mu company. These seemingly thrilling and exciting projects were boring in his eyes; a mecha combat training session would be more exciting.
Whether Mu Mu watched or participated didn’t matter to Yan Gui Xing; as long as Mu Mu was happy.
The rainbow roller coaster completed eight free falls, six 720-degree aerial spins, and several turns hidden from view by other equipment, finally returning to the starting point to prepare for the next departure.
Mu Mu responded with an “oh” and snapped back to attention. He tugged on Yan Gui Xing’s hand and continued walking forward, seemingly intending to check out the next attraction.
Yan Gui Xing thought Mu Mu had been looking intently for a while and wanted to play, but seeing Mu Mu pulling him in another direction, he quickly asked, “Mu Mu, don’t you want to play that one?”
Mu Mu nodded and said, “I want to.”
Yan Gui Xing pointed in the opposite direction, “Then we should go this way.”
Mu Mu shook his head, pointing towards another gate, “Mu Mu wants to go over there first. It looks really pretty.”
Yan Gui Xing looked in the direction Mu Mu was pointing and saw a row of colorful carts in the crowd.
He didn’t know what they were for, but since Mu Mu wanted to go, he had no reason to refuse.
The amusement park executives following behind wanted to step forward and explain things, but Achi stopped them with a raised hand.
Achi glared coldly at the men in suits, whispering, “If the boss needs you, he’ll call you. Behave yourselves for now. If you don’t want to follow, you can leave.”
Achi’s meaning also represented Yan Gui Xing’s. The executives understood that Marshal Yan wanted a romantic date, and they wouldn’t dare to bother him.
As for leaving? What a joke! If they left, they could guarantee that they would be written in Marshal Yan’s infamous little black book.
Yan Gui Xing and Mu Mu approached and discovered that those colorful carts were stalls selling snacks, toys, and accessories.
In amusement parks, such stalls were always crowded. Mu Mu looked thin and frail in the crowd, unable to see what was being sold even when standing on his tiptoes.
Mu Mu became anxious. He pulled Yan Gui Xing’s hand, but after repeatedly trying to squeeze through several stalls without finding an opening, he became disheartened, hanging his head and stopping in his tracks, unwilling to move any further.
Yan Gui Xing had seen enough of Mu Mu looking like a lost puppy, so he bent down and kissed Mu Mu’s cheek, smiling and saying, “Are you unhappy?”
Mu Mu pursed his lips and gently shook his head, saying, “No. Gui Gui, there are a lot of people here. Can we go and look over there?”
Yan Gui Xing didn’t want to move, and Mu Mu couldn’t pull him. He put his arm around Mu Mu’s shoulders, putting most of his weight on Mu Mu, smiling and teasing him, “Really don’t want to go and take a look?”
Mu Mu looked up at the stalls ahead, then lowered his eyes, forcefully pursing his chubby lips, and softly said, “I want to go.”
Yan Gui Xing laughed, “If you want to go, it’s not difficult.” He bent down and scooped Mu Mu up by the legs.
Mu Mu was completely unprepared and let out a small “ah,” quickly hugging Yan Gui Xing’s neck. Yan Gui Xing smiled and carried Mu Mu into the crowd.
Yan Gui Xing was tall to begin with. When he stopped smiling and put on a serious face, his aura was even stronger. People around him subconsciously gave way.
As for those who didn’t move out of the way at the stalls, Yan Gui Xing effortlessly squeezed his way in, directly reaching the front of the stall.
He put Mu Mu down, keeping him in his arms, and said, “Choose, take whatever you like.”
