Yan Gui Xing furrowed his brows slightly, but he didn’t think much of it at the moment. He thought it was because of the noisy environment that Mu Mu hadn’t heard him, and he repeated what he had just said.
Mu Mu shook his head and said, “My ribs are healed; they don’t hurt. Mu Mu is just a little tired, my legs are a bit sore, just rest for a while and I’ll be fine.”
Yan Gui Xing was afraid Mu Mu didn’t want to tell the truth because he still wanted to continue playing. He looked at Mu Mu’s expression with a near-scrutinizing gaze. Seeing his rosy complexion and unconcealed excitement, without any sign of pain, he believed him.
Just as he was about to say something, he saw Achi striding towards them. He knew his adjutant well. Unless it was something very important, Achi wouldn’t interrupt him at this time.
Yan Gui Xing looked at the big man who had arrived, took the optical brain he handed over, and saw the message sent using the Fourth Army’s code. His heart sank slightly.
He waved his hand at Achi, telling him to wait aside.
After Achi walked away, Yan Gui Xing lowered his tea-colored sunglasses. His green eyes looked at Mu Mu softly, saying, “Mu Mu, the military has something for me. I’ll go and take care of it. Wait for me here, don’t wander off.”
Mu Mu nodded obediently, “Gui Gui, go ahead. Mu Mu will stay here; I won’t go anywhere.”
Yan Gui Xing looked at the pretty child sitting on the bench, wearing a pink strawberry hair clip, his hands neatly placed on his legs, his expression docile. He suddenly didn’t want to leave him in such a public place.
He wanted to ask Luo Tang to send Mu Mu back to the hotel and come back for him after he was done. But he had already spoken, and Mu Mu had agreed. Changing his mind now would make Mu Mu, who was in high spirits, disappointed.
Yan Gui Xing thought it shouldn’t be anything too important and wouldn’t take too long, so he gave up on the idea of sending Mu Mu back to the hotel.
However, he asked Luo Tang and the others to keep an eye on Mu Mu, to prevent him from wandering off and to keep any nosy people from bothering him, before leaving with peace of mind.
After Yan Gui Xing left, Mu Mu sat on the bench for a while.
Suddenly feeling thirsty, he looked around. Seeing that Yan Gui Xing wasn’t there, he thought he probably wouldn’t be finished so quickly, so he decided to go buy some water and then come back to wait for Yan Gui Xing.
There were no shops near the cartoon bench. Mu Mu remembered seeing a red mushroom house shop near the rotating teacups, so he walked back following his memory.
Mu Mu was lucky. Besides him, there were only two or three other tourists in the mushroom house, all of whom were selecting items and didn’t seem to be checking out.
He chose two bottles of mineral water and went to the counter to pay. The man behind the counter, wearing a yellow apron and a red mushroom hat, quickly took the mineral water, scanned Mu Mu’s optical brain, put the water into a bag with cartoon mushrooms printed on it, and handed it over.
“Your water, please take it… Mu Mu?!”
Hearing his name, Mu Mu subconsciously raised his head and saw Zheng An’s familiar face under the red mushroom hat. He excitedly said, “An An?! What are you doing here?”
Zheng An first looked at Mu Mu’s restored complexion, now rosy-cheeked, and then at the obviously expensive clothes Mu Mu was wearing. Knowing that Mu Mu was doing well, he secretly breathed a sigh of relief.
Then he rolled his eyes, shoved the bag into Mu Mu’s arms, and said sarcastically, “Working. What? Haven’t seen you for a while, and you’ve gone blind? Can’t you see?”
Zheng An’s voice was a bit loud, causing other customers in the room to frown and look over.
Zheng An silently cursed, put on a service smile, and said to Mu Mu, “Buy what you need and leave quickly, don’t delay my work.”
Mu Mu used to see Zheng An every day. This was the first time they had been apart for so long, and he had missed him. Now that he had finally seen Zheng An, how could he leave so easily?
He stood at the counter, whispering, “I won’t disturb you. I’ll just stand by the counter and watch you. Mu Mu hasn’t seen An An for so long, I miss you.”
Zheng An hadn’t seen Mu Mu for so long, and he had been both worried and concerned, afraid that the little fool would be bullied. Now that he had seen him, he had a lot to say to him.
He sighed and said to Mu Mu, “Go outside and wait for me. I’ll go out after I change shifts.”
Mu Mu hummed and obediently went to stand outside the door.
Zheng An watched Mu Mu’s thin back through the glass door and sighed softly, resignedly turning to go into the break room, pulling out the little robot that hadn’t been fully charged yet.
“Let’s go, find a place to sit and chat.” Zheng An, wearing the amusement park’s colorful uniform, came out, called to Mu Mu, and without waiting for him, walked towards a nearby bench.
Mu Mu quickly followed and sat down beside Zheng An, taking out the bottled water he had bought for Yan Gui Xing from the bag and handing it to Zheng An, “An An, drink some water.”
Zheng An didn’t stand on ceremony with Mu Mu. After opening the bottle cap, he took a large gulp and said with a frown, “Twenty star coins a bottle of water is different. It’s sweet.”
Mu Mu held the bottle, sipping the water, and chuckled.
Zheng An screwed on the cap, leaned back against the chair, let out a long sigh, and glanced sideways at Mu Mu, who looked like a wealthy young master, sarcastically saying,
“Our young master Mu Mu is doing well. You’ve climbed the ladder, and you still remember me, a friend from your poor days. I thought Young Master Mu Mu had long forgotten me.”
Mu Mu had lived with Zheng An for a long time and had developed the ability to filter and reorganize Zheng An’s words. He screwed on the cap and said seriously, “An An is Mu Mu’s good friend, Mu Mu won’t forget An An.”
Zheng An scoffed, “Good friends, yet you didn’t reply to so many of my messages.”
Mu Mu asked in confusion, “An An, did you send me messages? I didn’t receive any.”
He raised his wrist, pointed at his optical brain, called up Zheng An’s communication page, and showed it to Zheng An to prove himself.
“An An, look, there are no messages.”
“How is that possible!” Zheng An sat up suddenly and leaned over to look at the screen with Mu Mu.
Their chat page was indeed stuck at a month ago.
Zheng An poked at the screen in confusion, “It can’t be. I sent you over a hundred messages, how come there are none?”
He checked his own data and discovered that he had been blocked.
“Blocked.” Zheng An wiped his forehead, surprised.
“What’s blocked?” Mu Mu also leaned over, looking at the screen of the optical brain, not seeing anything wrong, “Mu Mu has never blocked An An.”
Zheng An unblocked himself and turned off the screen for Mu Mu, “I know you didn’t block me. You little fool don’t even know how to block people.”
Looking at Mu Mu’s confused expression, he scratched his face and said, “Forget it, let’s not talk about this. How are you doing with that, Marshal Yan? Is he treating you well?”
