Chapter 34
Ouyang Xiaoli only asked for it once last night. He was considerate of the fact that it was the little merman’s first time—he might not be able to handle it, especially since Ouyang’s size was far from ordinary.
The opening beneath a merman’s scales is incredibly small.
For both of them, last night had surely involved more pain than pleasure, but psychologically, the satisfaction they gained was immense.
The little merman’s legs had returned. His body structure was naturally that of a human now, which Ouyang Xiaoli could clearly feel beneath the covers.
He pressed down gently. “Does it hurt here?”
Xia Yi had his back to the man. His face was flushed red, and he told himself not to be too shy or bashful. He and Ouyang had already done the most intimate thing possible.
He whispered, “It’s already healed.”
He wasn’t lying. A merman’s self-healing ability was indeed rapid. When he was first caught in Ouyang’s net, he had slapped his tail hard against the deck until blood seeped from between his scales, but by the time they reached the Underground City, his tail and legs had already recovered to their original state.
Ouyang Xiaoli let out a low, deep chuckle. “Is that an invitation?”
Xia Yi turned his head blankly, seemingly unsure of what Ouyang meant.
But he understood a second later, because Ouyang was already gripping his chin, lowering his head to kiss him. The hand on his waist pulled them closer together, their breaths mingling once more as the temperature in the room began to rise.
Xia Yi’s eyes grew misty and watery.
Ouyang nibbled on the little merman’s lip and asked casually, “How old are you?”
Xia Yi answered honestly, “Eighteen.”
Ouyang Xiaoli paused, frowning. He hadn’t expected the little merman to be so young, even though he certainly looked tender.
“The optimal child-bearing age for a merman is twenty. Eighteen seems a bit young.”
But Xia Yi had been in his merman form last night, and the probability of conception was higher in that form.
Xia Yi thought Ouyang was rejecting him for being too small, so he stammered in panic, “I—I’m already an adult! We merfolk come of age at eighteen!”
“I know.” Ouyang Xiaoli kissed Xia Yi’s forehead soothingly before saying, “The normal lifespan for a human is one hundred and fifty years. I’m thirty-five, so I’ve only just reached adulthood myself.”
Xia Yi secretly breathed a sigh of relief.
Ouyang Xiaoli’s tone shifted. “So, neither of us is at the optimal age for having children. Let’s put that matter aside for now.”
Xia Yi got anxious. “But I want to have your babies!”
Ouyang Xiaoli looked slightly startled. He hadn’t expected Xia Yi to be so stubborn about having children; his urgency was a bit excessive.
But he still said, “There’s no rush.”
Xia Yi’s eyes turned red. He sniffled and turned his head away, refusing to speak.
But Ouyang Xiaoli had no intention of yielding. After a while, he said, “It shouldn’t be that easy to conceive from just last night. As long as we don’t do it in your merman form in the future, it should be fine.”
Xia Yi’s tears came pouring down.
He suddenly felt that Ouyang was being too much, and quite cold to him as well. He never asked for Xia Yi’s opinion; Ouyang always decided everything on his own, never caring what Xia Yi thought.
Xia Yi felt aggrieved.
Keda had said that as long as he slept with Ouyang, Ouyang would spoil him and coax him.
That he would give him all the good things.
But Ouyang didn’t care about his feelings at all. He felt truly wronged. He wanted to have many babies for Ouyang; he didn’t want to wait two years.
What if Ouyang had another little merman by then? Ouyang was so powerful in the Underground City, and so tall and handsome. That thing of his was big and thick, too. He had heard Keda say that the more substantial a man was in that area, the more merfolk would admire him.
Xia Yi really didn’t want to share Ouyang with other merfolk. Ouyang was his alone.
The more Xia Yi thought about it, the sadder he became. Tears fell like pearls from a broken string. At first, he tried to hold it in, but eventually, his shoulders began to tremble.
Ouyang Xiaoli was startled.
He turned the weeping, tear-stained little merman around, helped wipe away the tears, and asked softly, “Why are you suddenly crying?”
Xia Yi cried even harder.
Ouyang Xiaoli pulled him into his arms and gently coaxed him, a look of confusion on his face. He didn’t even know which sentence had triggered the little merman’s tears.
“There, there, I was wrong,” he said.
Xia Yi hiccuped from crying. He gently nuzzled into the man’s embrace, choking back sobs without speaking.
He knew Ouyang was just coaxing him symbolically. Everyone thought he was the easiest to coax—that once he was coaxed, everything would be fine.
They didn’t care about what he really thought.
As he cried, Xia Yi felt the man gently kissing his eyelashes. It was very tender, spreading little by little until his lips covered Xia Yi’s.
The temperature in the room gradually rose.
Unknown to them both, they couldn’t help themselves and began to roll around on the bed.
The air was filled with a thick, sticky atmosphere.
This time, Xia Yi was in his human form, so Ouyang Xiaoli had fewer reservations.
The probability of a merman conceiving in human form was very low—perhaps one in a thousand chances.
When Keda walked into the living room, he heard low panting coming from the bedroom. His eyes lit up instantly. He hadn’t expected Xia Yi to be so impressive!
Great execution!
He wondered if he should leave to give them privacy. He probably shouldn’t get involved in this kind of scene; if the Boss found out, he would definitely skin him alive on the spot.
But then he thought about it—the Boss was fast. Five minutes, that’s all. He could wait that long. So, he sat down.
He would just pretend he didn’t hear anything later.
Keda walked over to the storage box, took out a pouch of nutrient solution, squinted his eyes, and waited patiently, silently counting the time in his head.
Five minutes passed.
Keda looked toward the bedroom with some surprise. Had the Boss broken his record?
Maybe he could hope for ten minutes?
Keda chewed on the corner of the nutrient pouch, staring at the bedroom door. Slowly, fifteen minutes passed. Keda had lost interest in drinking the nutrient solution. He rubbed his hands together in excitement, wondering if the Boss had taken medicine. This was ten minutes longer than last time!
Ten minutes might be normal for an ordinary man, but for the Boss, it was different. The Boss only lasted five minutes last time.
This was a huge improvement!
Something worth celebrating.
Keda began to time the Boss silently. Slowly, half an hour passed. Keda’s expression grew serious. The medicine seemed a bit too potent.
An hour passed.
A look of worry appeared on Keda’s face.
Vaguely, he heard the sound of the little merman sobbing and choking. The voice was hoarse and weak, carrying a hint of being on the verge of death…
Keda turned pale with fright!
Just as he sprang up, intending to rush in and save him, the sounds inside ceased. Keda hesitated, unsure if he should go in.
A minute later, the door opened.
Keda and his Boss locked eyes. Both were somewhat silent. Ouyang Xiaoli looked down at the black boxer briefs he was wearing and cleared his throat. There were teeth marks from the little merman on his shoulder.
He had to admit, the bite was quite hard.
“Why are you here?” Ouyang Xiaoli looked at Keda with an interrogating gaze.
Keda stammered, “I… I have access rights to your place, so I just came in.”
This reminder prompted Ouyang Xiaoli. He walked up to Keda and looked down at him, saying, “Delete your optical computer access.”
Keda: “…”
He lowered his head and silently pulled up the interface.
Halfway through, he quietly looked up and met the Boss’s cold, threatening gaze. Keda couldn’t help but turn his head and wipe away a bitter tear.
Is it easy for me?!
I did all this for the Boss!
But this exploiter of a Boss was so cruel to him. He delivered a wife to the Boss, yet the Boss bit the hand that fed him and kicked him out of the house!
Forgot his brother as soon as he got a wife.
Men really aren’t anything good!
Under the pressure of the Boss’s gaze, Keda deleted his access to the apartment. His heart felt sour, but he loyally wished for the Boss’s happiness.
As long as the Boss was happy.
What was this small sacrifice of his!
“Um, Boss.” Keda hesitated but decided to give a tactful reminder. “I know you’re a man, and you wouldn’t tell us if you had unspeakable problems. You care a lot about face in that department, but you should also pay attention to your health. You shouldn’t take too much of that medicine…”
Ouyang Xiaoli narrowed his eyes. “Hm?”
Keda grit his teeth and went for it. “So what if it’s five minutes? Five minutes is pretty good! We can’t take medicine just for that!”
“Who did you say took medicine?”
Ouyang Xiaoli’s face went completely black.
Keda looked blank. “You, Boss.”
Ouyang Xiaoli: “…”
By the time the misunderstanding was cleared up, Keda had already been kicked in the butt by Ouyang Xiaoli, leaving two large footprints printed on his pants!
Keda was thrown out, looking disheveled.
Xia Yi’s body was soft and delicate; he could easily perform all sorts of poses.
Ouyang Xiaoli hadn’t touched a woman or a merman in thirty-five years. He had been holding back for too long. Once he tasted it, he couldn’t stop.
Last night, considering it was Xia Yi’s first time, Ouyang Xiaoli had restrained himself. This morning, seeing that Xia Yi’s body had fully recovered, he couldn’t hold back anymore and had tossed the little merman around all morning.
He felt utterly satisfied now.
After throwing Keda out, he walked to the storage box to get a pouch of nutrient solution. He caught a glimpse of the little merman hiding behind the bedroom door, peeking at him cautiously. Seeing that he was discovered, Xia Yi immediately retracted his gaze in panic.
Ouyang couldn’t help but chuckle softly.
So cute.
He really wanted to kiss him.
Thinking this, he did exactly that. He walked over, gently kissed Xia Yi’s forehead, wrapped one arm around the little merman’s waist, and lifted him up!
The little merman let out a surprised cry.
He hugged the man’s head as if terrified.
Ouyang Xiaoli placed the little merman gently on the sofa and kissed his cheek. “Sit here. I’ll go make you potato soup.”
“Mhm.”
Xia Yi nodded obediently.
Only when the man entered the kitchen did Xia Yi slowly withdraw his gaze.
Ouyang thought his back was sore and his legs were cramping, but in reality, a merman’s recovery ability was very strong. He could go another five hundred times.
But he had to be reserved. He couldn’t let Ouyang think he liked doing this kind of thing. Back in the ocean, Grandma Octopus had said that these illicit affairs shouldn’t be brought to the table. Both parties might seem intimate, but one shouldn’t demand too much, otherwise, it would leave a bad impression on the other.
Xia Yi nodded seriously.
Even if he liked doing this, he couldn’t let Ouyang get bored of him.
He must restrain himself!
From that day on, Xia Yi lived a pampered life. He was clingy, ate potatoes every day, and even got to eat snacks from the surface.
Ouyang often infiltrated the surface. Although Xia Yi didn’t know what he did there, Ouyang would bring him delicious food every time he returned.
Xia Yi felt so happy.
At the same time, Ouyang would display abnormal endurance and vigor at certain times. Any other little merman would have been unable to handle it long ago, but Xia Yi wasn’t afraid. He would even actively climb up and shake.
Ouyang Xiaoli was both doting and helpless.
Whenever it was time to go to the Starstone Market, Xia Yi wouldn’t go personally. Firstly, because there were too many people, and he didn’t like crowded places. Secondly, it was a mixed bag of characters; the Starstone Market gathered people from all four cities, increasing the danger. And thirdly, Xia Yi stood out too much. If others knew Xia Yi had the ability to identify Starstones, his danger would increase tenfold!
Therefore, it was better not to go.
Every time Ouyang Xiaoli went to the Starstone Market, he would have Keda come to his house. He would take photos of the Starstones and send them to Keda for Xia Yi to mark.
This was the best method.
Half a month later, the starship’s energy had reached four-fifths saturation. The remaining energy would be filled very soon.
Everyone began to look forward to it again.
During this time, although Ouyang Xiaoli was busy with many things—infiltrating the surface to steal secrets, selecting jade at the Starstone Market, charging the starship—his physical strength and energy remained vigorous and abundant. Every night after returning home and showering, he would be intimate with Xia Yi for a long time. Their compatibility was extremely high!
“Xia Yi, the potatoes are here!” Keda, having lost his access rights, could only wait outside the door.
“Call me Sister-in-law.”
After opening the door for Keda, the little merman sat on the sofa, staring solemnly at the person opposite him.
Keda: “…”
For the past half-month, every time he called Xia Yi by his name, he was earnestly corrected. Xia Yi never got tired of it, which showed how much he cared about the title “Sister-in-law.”
In the distance, Ouyang Xiaoli heard Xia Yi’s words. Without looking up, the corner of his mouth twitched slightly.
Keda: “…Sister-in-law.”
Xia Yi was satisfied.
