Mr. Shen’s Sick Obsession Chapter 47

Chapter 47: It Must Be Su Nian Framing Him!

Qin Lou cleared the way through the surrounding crowd.

“Everyone move aside, don’t gather!”

Shen Xingyu gripped Liang Sheng’s wrist tightly. With a cold face and rapid strides, he ordered with heavy emphasis, “Block all news. Not a single word about tonight is allowed to leak out. If it does, make that person disappear from Nan City forever.”

The camera flashes illuminated his cold profile. His eyes were filled with bloodshot veins. Liang Sheng could only see the other half of him submerged in shadow—an overwhelming gloom like the calm before a storm. He couldn’t stop his heart from trembling.

The man’s words didn’t provide him with any sense of security or reliance. Given his husband’s temperament, he wouldn’t have it easy; perhaps it would be even more terrifying than being notorious.

Amidst the relentless pursuit of reporters and onlookers, he was forcibly stuffed into the car by Shen Xingyu.

The car window slowly rolled up, blocking out all sound.

Those words using his ugly photos for gossip and carrying insulting mockery could no longer be heard.

Liang Sheng still felt a buzzing in his ears.

His head hurt terribly.

Perhaps the flashes just now were too blinding.

He still hadn’t recovered. His vision was a blur of black and white, and he sat in a daze, unable to shed a single tear.

Liang Sheng didn’t know what was happening to him. Struck hard by the blow, he couldn’t regain his senses for a long time. Voices kept echoing in his mind—the mocking laughter of those people, and the words of his presentation on stage.

In short, he couldn’t distinguish anything.

He tried hard to shake his head, wanting to throw off these chaotic thoughts, but it was useless. The voices grew louder, drilling into his brain.

He couldn’t help but recall himself on the screen.

Himself in those photos.

With a flushed face, lips slightly parted, no shirt on, his chest covered in dense red marks, and an unrecognizable man lying beside him…

How disgusting.

His stomach churned.

Liang Sheng suddenly wanted to vomit. He covered his mouth, forcibly swallowing that sense of humiliation and distress back into his belly.

How could this be…

How did things end up like this…

He wanted to cry but had no tears.

His eyes were already numb.

He only felt so tired, so exhausted. His limbs twitched uncontrollably, and his heart throbbed with pain.

Shen Xingyu shot him a side-glance. The more he looked, the more he found him disgusting—like trash discarded by the roadside.

He had already tolerated Liang Sheng hugging and cuddling with Xie Zhengran, but he never imagined that this person would secretly meet a lover in the bushes where they lived and even take such unspeakable photos!

It would have been fine if he hadn’t seen them; he would have known nothing. But not only did he see them, they were projected at the annual gala! Now the upper class of Nan City knew that the Young Master of the Shen family was a “worn-out shoe” despoiled by a wild man. He, Shen Xingyu, was noble and proud, yet he had unexpectedly become a laughingstock!

Resentment twisted in his heart. He couldn’t stand that his “pure” wife was actually having an affair with someone else!

Who on earth was that person?!

Was it Xie Zhengran?

Were the indecent photos also taken by Xie Zhengran?

Was he using Liang Sheng to destroy him?

His temples throbbed painfully. Shen Xingyu pressed against them and closed his eyes, his mind a mess.

He rested for a long while. When he opened his eyes again, they were filled with a madness that consumed logic and an unmaskable killing intent.

The night grew darker.

The light in the car was dim.

The car moved very fast, driving onto Wutong Avenue. The wind blew through the branches with a rustling sound that seemed particularly terrifying in the silent night.

Liang Sheng didn’t know how he returned to the Shen residence.

He was dragged all the way and thrown into the room.

His body hit the wooden floor hard.

The cold and pain cleared his muddled mind a bit.

The skin on his palms was scraped, red and faintly bleeding.

Liang Sheng couldn’t get up for a long time. He lay on the ground, timidly looking up at the man looming over him.

His husband was cold as usual.

Only the coldness now was the desire to kill him!

He had never seen Shen Xingyu like tonight—his gaze as cruel as a wolf’s. He was clearly furious to the extreme, yet he chose not to erupt. Last time in the hospital, the other party had even slapped him and called him shameless.

But now… other than the two sentences at the banquet, Shen Xingyu hadn’t questioned him about anything.

The way back had been terrifyingly quiet.

Liang Sheng didn’t dare look at him anymore.

Even an explanation couldn’t be voiced.

He couldn’t guess what his husband actually wanted to do.

Shen Xingyu remained silent, standing in place, looking down coldly at the scrawny person on the floor as if looking at a corpse. He didn’t know how long he had held back to suppress all the temper in his heart.

He used to hide his joy and anger, but recently, because of Liang Sheng, his temperament was becoming increasingly uncontrollable.

Liang Sheng’s hand was bleeding. Shen Xingyu saw it, but he only gave it an expressionless glance before heading out.

With a loud bang, the door closed. It seemed all his emotions were vented through that action.

Liang Sheng trembled all over. By the time he realized, the man had already left. He crawled on his knees to the door, sat up with difficulty, and rested his head against the door panel, lifting his hand to knock weakly.

“Ayu… Shen Xingyu!”

His voice was hoarse as he called that person over and over, tears continuously streaming from his eyes.

But no matter how he knocked, there was no reaction.

The door was locked; it couldn’t be opened.

It was like a world his husband would never be willing to open for him again.

Why was it that after losing his memory, even his heart had become so cruel?

Liang Sheng couldn’t understand. He had loved him so much before; even if he didn’t remember, how could his personality change?

He closed his eyes in pain, leaning against the door. His shoulders shook violently twice as he murmured with a sob:

“Do you hate me that much… you won’t even believe me once… I didn’t do anything.”

“My heart for you has never changed…”

“Never…”

His voice grew lower. Since his mother died, no one loved him anymore. He so badly wanted to return to the past…

To the days when someone cared.

The room was silent.

The wind rustled the curtains, making occasional noises.

Only Liang Sheng’s sobs came in waves.

“I really… loved you so much before… so much. For you, I was willing to do anything… I could give up anything… just to be by your side…”

He was immersed in memories of the past, thinking of beautiful things and whispering his love to the dark night. As he spoke, tears fell again.

Outside the door, Shen Xingyu heard everything.

He had been standing at the door ever since he closed it.

He had intended to go back and deal with the mess at the banquet, but he suddenly feared Liang Sheng might do something drastic. After all, those ugly photos on the screen—he could be certain that the idiot Liang Sheng hadn’t put them there himself. And since returning, the other had been in a daze; he could tell he had taken a massive blow.

Shen Xingyu knew he shouldn’t care about the emotions of this “worn-out shoe,” but he simply couldn’t stop himself.

If he hadn’t stopped, he really wouldn’t have had the chance to hear Liang Sheng talking to himself.

Since he loved him, why did he cheat?

Now that he was speaking so affectionately, was it because he feared being kicked out of the Shen family and returning to a life of poverty? Or was it that now that he had left him, he could finally be with his lover, and these words were just spoken from the heart out of guilt to compensate?

Shen Xingyu sneered.

So, Liang Sheng’s love was this cheap…

Worthless and cheap.

Liang Sheng, have you finally grown sick of me?

Seven years. He had thought that even if he lost his memory and subjected Liang Sheng to all sorts of torment and tests, the other would still love him unconditionally and be unable to leave him. Now it seemed Liang Sheng also couldn’t stand the loneliness.

Shen Xingyu thought with paranoia and extremism. He never dared to admit that he feared losing Liang Sheng; he just stubbornly believed that Liang Sheng should love him forever.

He clenched his fingers and left irritably.

Inside, Liang Sheng wearily lowered his arm. He stared blankly at the room he returned to for a few days every year. Inside were all decorations he had carefully arranged—every bit and piece a beautiful but fleeting trace.

“But now… I don’t know if I should continue to love you…”

He had never been this helpless and lost. A voice in his heart was telling him to give up. He was too obsessed with Shen Xingyu’s love; that relationship from youth to maturity—he couldn’t bear to let go, yet he had no choice.

Now, he was being branded with a filthy crime. Shen Xingyu wouldn’t believe him. His purity was destroyed. He was only more worried about how Grandfather, at his advanced age, would be able to endure this…

Would Grandfather believe him?

Liang Sheng closed his eyes. He didn’t know and was very afraid. The Shen family and Grandfather were innocent; he really didn’t want to see them implicated.

Who on earth was it…

Why did they want to frame him like this?

He was polite to everyone and had never offended anyone. Yet they had to ruin his reputation and make it impossible for him to hold his head up on such an important occasion…

Was it Su Nian?

In his sorrow, Liang Sheng suddenly had a thought.

It seemed that besides Su Nian, who was always fawning over Shen Xingyu, no one else had been dealing with him openly or secretly.

Yes! It must be him!

A spark of light reignited in Liang Sheng’s dark eyes.

He shakily stood up by leaning against the wall, then used all his strength to bang on the door panel, wailing:

“Ayu! Open the door! I know… I know who framed me! It was Su Nian! He… he wants to ruin my reputation so you can discard me logically! He put the photos up too! Please, let me out! I want to tell Grandfather!”

But no matter how he shouted, there was no response outside the door.

His hope gradually shattered. The frequency of his banging slowed down, and his body slid down the door panel onto the floor.

“Why… won’t you give me a single chance…”

His sobs were swallowed by the darkness, making it hard to see the dawn again.

No one knew his despair.
