Chapter 49: It Was the Young Master Who Wanted to Use the Photos to Force a Divorce
“Speak.”
Shen Xingyu raised his voice. Although he wasn’t yet shouting, he had already terrified the timid Su Rao.
Her legs trembled. She originally wanted to say no, but in the next second, Su Nian’s voice suddenly rang through her hearing aid:
“Admit it quickly. Say the Young Master made you do it—that Liang Sheng himself wanted to make the indecent photos public. That way, he could humiliate Shen Xingyu and thoroughly divorce him, then logically be with someone else! You must say it this way! Or else you’ll be waiting to go to prison! Su Rao’s eyes widened. She was already in a daze. Last night’s events had been quite a blow to her as well because she was the only one who had taken the USB drive. She had been cornered by reporters for two hours of questioning in the latter half of the night.
“I… I…”
She stammered for a long time.
“What do you mean ‘I’? Speak up!”
Su Nian was frantic outside the door, wishing he could rush in and speak himself. He only hoped this useless sister could be a bit more reliable. Whether Liang Sheng would be kicked out of the Shen family so he could take his place depended on this crucial step.

Su Rao closed her eyes and shouted.
Su Nian, eavesdropping through the hearing aid, breathed a sigh of relief. It wasn’t in vain that he had been brainwashing Su Rao to listen only to him. Combined with her lack of independence, it was even easier for her to go with the flow.
“Impossible!”
Shen Xingyu immediately denied it. Based on his understanding of Liang Sheng, there was no way this extremely socially anxious person would show indecent photos to humiliate himself on such an important occasion.
“If you lie again, you can wait to have your reputation ruined as well.”
He threatened with a cold sneer.
Su Rao fell paralyzed on the floor in fear. How would she know where those photos came from? She didn’t know anything! No matter how he threatened her, she couldn’t say anything!

Shen Xingyu frowned, checking the time.

To protect herself, Su Rao could only be led by her brother’s nose. She wasn’t some pure-minded person either, and her lying was as seamless as Su Nian’s:

As she spoke according to the words Su Nian taught her through the hearing aid, she carefully looked up to catch the man’s reaction. Sure enough, after hearing these words, his face turned terrifyingly dark.
Just as Su Rao was wondering whether to continue, the man suddenly squatted down and grabbed her by the throat. “And how do you know all this?”
Su Rao was forced to look up and saw the suppressed red in the man’s eyes—he looked like he wanted to tear her to pieces!
She didn’t know that she had already touched Shen Xingyu’s “reverse scale.” Divorcing Liang Sheng was the forbidden zone this man was most unwilling to mention.
“Is whether he and I are together something you can gossip about?”
Shen Xingyu spoke, increasing his grip.
He hated things that sowed discord the most.
Su Rao’s face turned red, and she had difficulty breathing.
She never expected it would turn out like this. She shook her head while crying, begging her brother in the hearing aid to save her.

Su Rao was still immersed in the contact with her idol just now until Su Nian’s voice rang in the hearing aid:
“Quickly answer no! You were blocked by the bushes and didn’t see anything. You only heard the Young Master tell the man that he would go find him as soon as he used the indecent photos to force Shen Xingyu to divorce him.”
Su Rao hurriedly repeated it.
Hearing this, Shen Xingyu’s anger flared even higher. When he turned back, he gave Su Rao a hard kick. “Get lost.”
“Ah!”
Su Rao cried out, clutching her stomach. She had been used to abuse since childhood; this kick was nothing to her, and for her, it was even quite meaningful as a memento.

He had enough patience to wait for Shen Xingyu and Liang Sheng to divorce.

The water was cold. He hadn’t turned on the water heater. His body was cold-natured; before, he always had to wait until the water was boiling hot before he dared step into the tub. Now, he couldn’t care less, letting the icy water drench him from his head to his toes.
His body grew numb from the cold.
Liang Sheng sneezed several times in a row. His body trembled violently, yet he still insisted on using the showerhead to rinse his chest.
“It’ll be fine once it’s washed away… it’ll be fine once it’s washed away…”
He muttered while crying. His eyes were red and swollen, and his fingers had scratched several places on his skin because he was using too much force. They were deep red, and when the water touched them, they were incredibly painful.
This kind of pain was good; it could make his heart feel a bit better.
Over the years, he hadn’t sought a bit of relief.
Day and night, he suffered through torment and torture.
Now, he had even destroyed himself.
Exhausted, Liang Sheng leaned his back against the side of the tub, closed his eyes, and slowly slid into the water.
He was so tired and wanted to have a good rest.
The water covered his head, and his body felt lighter than ever before.
