MY OMEGA IS A SWEET LITTLE BEAN CHAPTER 10

Chapter 10: A Happy and Harmonious Atmosphere

The word “family” struck the softest part of Su Tang’s heart. Caught completely off guard, he felt his eyes begin to burn.

He had grown up in an orphanage and only truly had a home after being adopted by Mr. and Mrs. Su at the age of seven.

A fire had taken their lives, and after that, a fifteen-year-old Su Tang and an eighteen-year-old Su Bing had relied on each other to get through the hardest of times, and had been together ever since.

Before meeting Ye Chiyu, Su Tang had never imagined he could have a new family.

With his eyes red like a little rabbit’s, Su Tang gathered his courage and hooked a finger around the sleeve of Ye Chiyu’s shirt, a smile breaking through his tears.

“Mr. Ye, I’m so happy. Thank you.”

Ye Chiyu knew what was making him sad. As if by magic, he produced a ring from thin air and slid it onto Su Tang’s ring finger, then gently tapped the tip of his nose.

“Little Su Tang, we’re married now. I’m your Alpha, your legal husband. From now on, you can rely on me for anything.”

No matter what happens, I’ll always be here with you.

Few could remain unmoved by such a direct and heartfelt confession. Su Tang was completely flustered by the Alpha’s words, so much so that the green tea scent of his pheromones burst through his suppression patch, the clean, slightly bitter aroma filling the air around Ye Chiyu.

Su Tang quickly moved to cover the back of his neck, but Ye Chiyu was faster. He caught Su Tang’s wrist and gently peeled off the transparent patch.

The man’s voice had an almost magical quality as it murmured in Su Tang’s ear, “Wearing those patches for too long can smother your glands. It’s not good for you. Besides, we’re not going to a public place. As long as I’m with you, you won’t need it.”

“But… green tea doesn’t smell very good,” Su Tang protested weakly.

His green tea pheromones weren’t considered top-tier. Most Omegas had sweet, fragrant scents. Ning Yang, for example, smelled like strawberries, and every time Su Tang caught a whiff of it, he’d get a craving for the fruit.

Everyone else’s was sweet. His was faint, and when it got stronger, it just smelled bitter.

Ye Chiyu took Su Tang’s hand and pressed a light, fleeting kiss to the back of it. “Your pheromones smell wonderful,” he said softly. “I love it.”

Unable to handle the flirting, the Omega’s face flushed a deep crimson. The blush still hadn’t faded by the time the car pulled up to the gates of the Ye family home.

Wen Fanxing and Ye Sheng were already waiting at the entrance. From a distance, they watched as their eldest son personally opened the car door to help a slender, tall young Omega out. Wen Fanxing was so delighted he couldn’t stop pinching the back of her husband’s hand.

“Ye Sheng, I never knew our son was capable of opening a car door for someone!”

Ye Sheng silently endured the pain, saying nothing and letting his husband continue to pinch him. What was the big deal? This was nothing, not even a tenth of the effort he’d put in when he was courting Fanxing!

After they got out of the car, Ye Chiyu considered Su Tang’s injured foot and was about to simply pick him up. But Su Tang, who had already been carried into and out of the Civil Affairs Bureau, was worried that Mr. Ye’s family would think he was being dramatic. He quietly but firmly insisted on walking himself.

Ye Chiyu didn’t argue, instead offering his arm and carefully supporting Su Tang as they walked slowly.

His two fathers stood side-by-side at the entrance, waiting for him to bring his Omega to them.

Supported by Ye Chiyu’s warm hand, Su Tang felt a surge of strength. Just having this Alpha standing by his side, holding him, was enough to make the prospect of meeting his parents seem far less daunting.

When they finally reached the couple, Ye Chiyu gave Su Tang an encouraging smile. After brief introductions, they all went inside.

Wen Fanxing was instantly taken with Su Tang’s sweet and well-behaved demeanor. The more he looked at him, the more he liked him. He affectionately pulled Su Tang to sit beside him, starting a lively conversation and completely ignoring his own husband and son.

“Little Su, Ah Yu dragged you off to get your certificate so early, you must not have had breakfast yet. Why don’t you have a little something to eat first?”

Su Tang was a little taken aback by Wen Fanxing’s sudden warmth, but he quickly relaxed, nodding with a smile. “Okay,” he said, his two dimples appearing like they were filled with honey.

“Thank you, Uncle Wen.”

Wen Fanxing reached out and ruffled Su Tang’s hair. “Good boy,” he said gently. “But you two are married now. You can’t keep calling me Uncle Wen. You should follow Ah Yu and call me Dad, and call Ye Sheng, Father.”

Ye Sheng, standing nearby, cleared his throat, trying to appear composed. “Ahem, yes. It’s time you did.”

Su Tang glanced at Ye Chiyu, who gave him an encouraging nod. Taking the cue, he obediently and sweetly called out, “Dad. Father.”

The housekeeper instructed the staff to bring breakfast to the table. When Su Tang saw what was placed in front of him, he froze for a second before looking up at Ye Chiyu, his face alight with surprise.

Wen Fanxing smiled knowingly and took a satisfied bite of a fluffy pancake. “This boy of mine never eats sweets,” he teased. “But this morning, he sent a special message requesting pancakes with maple syrup for breakfast. I knew it had to be for you.”

Su Tang was stunned. He couldn’t believe that Mr. Ye had taken his offhand comment so seriously.

He took a bite of the syrup-drenched pancake and beamed at Ye Chiyu, his smile impossibly sweet. “It’s delicious! Thank you!”

And then, Ye Sheng and Wen Fanxing watched as their eldest son—the one who usually wore a stoic, stone-faced expression—broke into a smile and replied gently to his Omega, “I’m glad you like it.”

Unbelievable!

Our cold, unfeeling, too-cool-for-school son can actually smile like that?

Ye Sheng and Wen Fanxing exchanged a look, and then both of them burst out laughing.

The breakfast was a happy, harmonious affair filled with pleasant conversation. Everyone was perfectly content—everyone, that is, except for Wen Lang, who had been completely forgotten and wasn’t invited to come meet Su Tang.
