Chapter 021: President Ye Panicked
That night, Su Tang was coaxed by Ye Chiyu into staying over at their new home. He called Su Bing to say he wouldn’t be returning home that night, to which the other party replied with a flat “Got it.”
The alpha held him in his arms as they slept through the night. When he woke up and opened his eyes again, Mr. Ye was already fully dressed, standing in front of the full-length mirror tying his tie.
“Mr. Ye, are you going to work?”
Su Tang rubbed his eyes and burrowed out of the blanket, scooting to the edge of the bed to look up at his alpha in a suit and leather shoes. His eyes sparkled.
Mr. Ye was so handsome, and he was Su Tang’s Mr. Ye.
Ye Chiyu nodded. “It’s still early. If you don’t have classes today, sleep a bit longer.”
Su Tang shook his head, staring straight at his alpha tying the tie.
Hmm, it’s such a simple action, so why does it look so charming when Mr. Ye does it?
Ye Chiyu’s hands had well-defined knuckles and were slender. due to years of working out, his arm muscles were very firm, with dark blue veins subtly visible. His figure—broad shoulders and a narrow waist—looked incredibly alluring under the well-tailored black suit.
Oh my god, my husband is practically a walking hormone.
Su Tang swallowed his saliva. As if bewitched, he got out of bed barefoot, walked up to Ye Chiyu, smiled, and reached out to tug on the alpha’s tie.
Seeing this, Ye Chiyu stopped what he was doing, looking down at his little omega with leisure and a smile in his eyes.
“Little Su Tang, do you want to help me tie my tie?”
That was exactly what he wanted to do! Su Tang nodded hurriedly.
He rarely wore formal wear in his daily life. The few times he had to wear a suit and tie were for school events, and the ties were always done by nimble-handed female classmates. So, Su Tang basically didn’t know how to tie a tie.
However, he had occasionally watched videos on how to tie a tie while scrolling through his feed. After running through it in his brain, a certain someone felt that he knew how to do it.
So, Ye Chiyu stood there patiently, watching his little kid’s flashy hand movements. The perfectly good tie turned into a crumpled dishrag in his hands.
Su Tang was flustered. He couldn’t understand why the movements that looked so simple in the video were impossible when he tried them himself.
He started to regret agreeing to help Mr. Ye.
Finally, he had a flash of inspiration. Using lightning speed, he tied the grey tie—which was barely recognizable by now—into a barely passable knot, using the method for tying a Young Pioneer’s red scarf.
It was indeed “barely passable,” but against Ye Chiyu’s impeccably tailored suit, it looked particularly jarring.
Even if Su Tang was dense, he could see at this moment that he had messed up. Blushing with shame, he stammered, “Um… Mr. Ye, maybe… maybe you should find another tie and do it yourself…”
“No, that’s not right.”
After speaking, he shook his head. Before Ye Chiyu could speak, he scurried into the walk-in closet, grabbed a random new tie, and placed it in Ye Chiyu’s hand.
“Mr. Ye, I brought you the tie…”
Watching his little kid realize he had caused trouble and running in and out for him, Ye Chiyu felt nothing but tenderness in his heart.
He took the slim black tie from Su Tang’s hand. Smiling, he draped the tie over Su Tang’s beautiful, fair wrist and skillfully, slowly, tied a perfect knot.
“Little Su Tang, did you memorize it? This is the one I use most often.”
Su Tang’s brain had almost stopped working from Ye Chiyu’s flirting. Fortunately, he was a quick learner. Standing slightly on his tiptoes, he undid Mr. Ye’s “red scarf” knot and, somewhat clumsily, completed a knot that wasn’t perfect but was presentable.
Ye Chiyu couldn’t resist anymore. He lowered his head and kissed Su Tang’s snow-white forehead. “Baby is so smart.”
There were some matters at the company that needed handling. Plus, the Ye Corporation was currently discussing a relatively large cooperation project with the local government. If the deal went through, it would be a huge boost to the Ye Corporation’s image, so he needed to supervise it personally to be at ease.
Ye Chiyu only felt comfortable leaving after watching Su Tang put on his slippers. He told Su Tang there were ingredients in the fridge to make some breakfast, and if he went home, just to send him a message.
Su Tang agreed to everything. A few seconds before Mr. Ye entered the elevator, he rushed forward, gave his alpha a hug, and then ran away covering his face.
In the elevator, Ye Chiyu savored the farewell hug the little guy had just given him. The smile in his eyes didn’t fade, and his good mood lasted all morning.
His little guy, who seemed so easily intimidated, was unexpectedly bold sometimes.
Consequently, the girl at the Ye Corporation’s front desk was horrified to discover that their CEO, who never smiled, actually walked into the building with a smile on his lips. He even uncharacteristically said “Morning” to them, scaring them into immediately sharing their observations in the company gossip group.
Worker: Does everyone know what I just saw? The eternal iceberg President Ye actually knows how to smile!
Mango Shaved Ice: It’s true, I can testify. And he even actively said “Morning”!!
Code Monkey: Come on, is our boss that kind of person?! I’ve been at Ye Corp for five years and haven’t seen him smile once!
Bald Girl: No way. If it’s true, then there must be something going on with the boss!
Salted Fish: I have a bold guess: the boss is in love.
Qi Yuan, working on the front lines of gossip under the ID “Water Ghost,” was slacking off in the group chat. Watching the chat logs fly past 99+, he glanced at the boss who had just walked into the office with a slightly crooked tie, and silently typed a line.
I vote that the boss has a partner /raises hand
More than just a partner; the spouse had already been married into the family.
The documents that passed through his hands daily were numerous and complex, and there were several meetings he needed to attend in the morning. Ye Chiyu seriously and quickly verified and signed the terms of several important contracts, handed the rest to Qi Yuan to handle, and distributed some task targets to the departments below.
An egg sandwich and a cup of black coffee were enough to get him through the morning.
When he finally found a moment in his tight schedule to drink the coffee that had long gone cold in his office, he realized it was already approaching 1:00 PM.
Su Tang had messaged him around 9:00 AM saying he was going to school for a major acting class and would return to his own home after class. He should have arrived by now.
Ye Chiyu rubbed his chin in thought. Just as he was about to send a message asking if Su Tang wanted him to pick him up for dinner, the little guy called.
“Hello, Su Tang.”
A smile played on his lips, and his gaze softened along with his tone. Qi Yuan, separated only by a glass door, could see it clearly through the gap in his files.
On the other end of the line, Su Tang was clutching his phone, crying his heart out at the door of his own home.
“Woo woo, Mr. Ye…”
“What’s wrong? What happened?”
Why is his little Su Tang crying?! Ye Chiyu’s expression changed instantly. Grabbing his coat and still holding the phone, he rushed out of the office with a tense look on his face.
