Chapter 024: Here… There is Meat
Jiangting.
After dropping Su Tang off, Ye Chiyu rushed back to the company to continue his meetings, leaving Su Tang to spend the afternoon organizing his luggage.
He had many things he couldn’t decide on, so the employees of Ye Group were astonished to find their CEO looking down at his phone during a meeting. He would occasionally tap the screen, seemingly chatting with someone, and the expression on his face was far gentler than usual.
Mr. Ye, should I hang my clothes in the same closet as you, or should we keep them separate?
If I put my computer in the study, will it disturb your work? Is it better to set it up in the living room?
Mr. Ye, where do I hang my hats?
Mr. Ye, can my figurines occupy one of the cabinets? /Starry Eyes
Mr. Ye, Mr. Ye…
…
Su Tang lost count of how many messages he sent to Ye Chiyu throughout the afternoon. He initially thought he might be disturbing his work, but when Mr. Ye replied to almost every message instantly, he began to act without restraint.
Mr. Ye must not be busy if he has time to reply, Su Tang thought. With complete peace of mind, the question-filled Su Tang monopolized the time of the incredibly busy CEO Ye.
Next to the Alpha’s dark-colored suits hung Su Tang’s colorful clothes. On the study desk, a minimalist office computer now sat side-by-side with a luxuriously configured gaming rig. A pile of baseball caps appeared next to the drawer reserved for cufflinks and watches…
When Ye Chiyu came home from work that evening, there was even a small fish tank in the house. Su Tang, wearing an apron, walked out of the kitchen in high spirits to welcome him, introducing the little fish he had bought while grocery shopping that afternoon.
He had even named the colorful little fish: Nemo, Duo Duo, Cabbage, and Wang Wang.
Looking at his radiant Omega, Ye Chiyu suddenly felt that those somewhat ugly little fish looked pleasing to the eye because of the names Su Tang had given them.
Su Tang’s cooking skills were quite good. The two of them wiped clean the simple meal of two dishes and a soup. Ye Chiyu even felt that the dishes the little guy made were more delicious than those prepared by the professional chefs hired by the family.
After dinner, they watched a movie together in the living room. Su Tang had specially picked a film he liked. They turned off the lights and sat on the sofa, watching the play of light and shadow.
At first, they sat properly, but halfway through the movie, the Alpha’s large hand had already pulled Su Tang into his arms, his nose nuzzling into Su Tang’s hair.
Perhaps because his pheromone was Green Tea, the little guy’s body and even his hair carried that bitter-fresh scent. It was faint, but it tugged at the heartstrings just right.
It was hard to imagine that a top-tier Alpha like him would have such high compatibility with an ordinary Green Tea-scented Omega. Years ago, he had secretly tested their blood compatibility. The resulting number was something even Ye Chiyu didn’t dare believe.
He and his Omega had a 95% compatibility rate.
In this world, compatibility over 80% was rare. Once it exceeded that number, two people who met would absolutely be bound together by the attraction of compatibility.
But he hadn’t disturbed his little Omega immediately. He had simply waited patiently for Su Tang to grow up, become an adult, and get into college, accompanying the little guy in his own way.
Thankfully, fate favored him. What happened that night was too dreamlike for him. Sometimes he wondered if God had noticed his designs on Su Tang and, taking pity on him, lifted a hand to deliver his little snack right onto his plate.
Su Tang’s heat had passed not long ago, so he wouldn’t be too sensitive to Alpha pheromones before the next cycle. Thus, Su Tang merely blushed to the tips of his ears and nestled obediently in the Alpha’s arms, not daring to make a move.
The person in his arms was so small; a light embrace engulfed him completely. Ye Chiyu frowned slightly and sighed.
His Tangtang was still too thin. There was no extra meat on him at all.
“What’s wrong, Mr. Ye?”
Hearing the Alpha’s sigh, Su Tang asked in a small voice.
Ye Chiyu rubbed his chin against the hollow of Su Tang’s neck. “I was wondering, since my Little Su Tang eats so much, where did all the meat go?”
Unexpectedly, upon hearing this, Su Tang’s face instantly flushed red. His small mouth opened and closed, but there was a sentence he just couldn’t bring himself to say.
He was incredibly grateful that the living room lights were off so Mr. Ye couldn’t see the color of his face; otherwise, he wouldn’t be able to hide.
Even after the movie ended, and they had showered and gone to bed with the lights out, Su Tang remained wrapped in Ye Chiyu’s arms.
In the darkness, Su Tang’s fuzzy little head burrowed around in the Alpha’s embrace, and his small hand restlessly stroked the Alpha’s V-line abs.
“Be good. Don’t tease.”
The Alpha’s voice was a bit hoarse. A warm, large hand grabbed the trotter that was taking advantage of him. He was panting slightly, struggling to restrain himself because of someone’s death-defying movements.
“Mmph…”
Caught in the act, Su Tang protested unhappily in a whisper, grunting like a little piglet, still refusing to behave.
Ye Chiyu was truly helpless. He really couldn’t do anything to this cute little guy in his arms, so he reached out, turned on the bedside lamp, and sat up.
“Tangtang, if you keep teasing, don’t blame me if I can’t hold back…”
Seeing the situation shift, Su Tang quickly burrowed under the blanket, exposing only a pair of bright, beautiful eyes looking at his Alpha, with a look that rather said ‘I want to refuse, but I also want to welcome’.
What exactly is going on?
Ye Chiyu was bewildered by the little Omega. Just trying to control his desire not to touch Su Tang was difficult enough; he couldn’t spare any extra energy to guess what his Omega wanted.
It was too early. He couldn’t touch Su Tang yet.
He had to wait until his Omega liked him a little more, was a little more certain, before he could bear to touch him.
Su Tang’s brain spun for a moment. He probably realized Mr. Ye’s discomfort, so he guiltily crawled out of the blanket and sat on his heels on the bed. His cartoon pajamas were twisted askew, and he kept his head down obediently.
“Mr. Ye, I’m sorry, I was wrong…”
Before Ye Chiyu could reply, his little Omega suddenly pounced on him, reached out, and turned off the bedside lamp he had just turned on.
This little guy, what is he doing now?
Su Tang hugged the Alpha’s waist, dragging him back down to lie flat, and solemnly promised he wouldn’t move around anymore.
They lay quietly for a while like that. Then, the Omega, who had his eyes squeezed shut pretending to sleep, suddenly opened them. In the faint light, he stared at his Alpha, unable to look away.
“Mr. Ye.”
It was a super quiet breath of a voice, but Ye Chiyu heard it. He hummed a response with his eyes still closed.
“Here. There is meat.”
Su Tang rolled over onto his stomach, grabbed the Alpha’s hand, and placed it right on his butt.
