Chapter 82: Pregnancy Test
“Cut!”
After Chen Nuo’s final shot was completed, Su Tang, who was lying on the ground in a curled-up position, didn’t get up for a long time.
Others thought Su Tang was still immersed in the role, but Ye Chiyu, who had been watching him closely, immediately realized something was wrong. His expression changed instantly as he charged into the area where the fire hadn’t been fully extinguished and scooped the person on the ground into his arms.
“Tangtang? Tangtang!”
Ye Chiyu called Su Tang’s name twice, but there was no response. The doctor stationed with the crew also realized the situation was wrong and followed immediately. Chu Xiaoyun put down his megaphone and hurried over to check on Su Tang.
The doctor very quickly performed a preliminary check on Su Tang and said it wasn’t anything major, telling Ye Chiyu to carry him away from the scene to a place with better air circulation.
Ye Chiyu immediately carried the Omega out and placed him gently on a lounge chair. The doctor immediately took out a portable nasal oxygen cannula and put it on Su Tang.
“How is he?” Ye Chiyu asked solemnly, following the doctor’s instructions to wipe Su Tang’s neck and chest with a wet wipe to lower his temperature.
The doctor used a stethoscope to listen to Su Tang’s breathing and signaled Ye Chiyu not to worry.
“Even though it was prop fire, the high temperature and smoke made the oxygen in the air much lower than normal. He just filmed such a high-intensity scene without a single NG; his body was oxygen-deprived and overheated. He couldn’t handle the load, so he fainted.”
Even hearing the doctor say he was fine, Ye Chiyu’s expression did not relax. As long as the person hadn’t woken up, the string in his heart remained tightly wound.
Chu Xiaoyun was also very worried about the little guy. Su Tang’s performance in the final scene just now seemed to have improved even more than yesterday. He had always been someone who cherished talent, and since Su Tang was an actor in his crew, he couldn’t help but worry.
“Once his temperature drops and he gets some oxygen, he’ll come around.”
The doctor looked at Ye Chiyu and Chu Xiaoyun and smiled.
“What’s with that look from both of you? I’m a professional on-site doctor. Su Tang’s condition is very common. He’s young; give him ten minutes and he’ll definitely wake up and be lively again.”
Having finished his explanation, the doctor didn’t want to stay and be an eyesore. He waved his hand and went to sit a bit further away, where he could still see Su Tang’s condition while giving them space.
“Director Chu, please continue with your work. It’s enough for me to be here with him.”
Ye Chiyu looked at Chu Xiaoyun, his expression as indifferent as ever, his tone giving away no emotion.
The little guy’s face had already been wiped clean by him. The flush caused by the high temperature was especially striking on Su Tang’s fair and delicate face. Ye Chiyu touched Su Tang’s little face, his heart aching terribly.
Chu Xiaoyun didn’t act pretentious and said, “Alright. I’ll leave Xiao Su in Mr. Ye’s hands. I am responsible for what happened today. I will definitely visit to apologize another day if I have the chance.”
Ye Chiyu’s gaze was entirely focused on the Omega, not sparing even a glance for Chu Xiaoyun.
“Director Chu needn’t mind. This is Tangtang’s job. He won’t let you apologize, and neither will I.”
Knowing that staying there would serve no further purpose, Chu Xiaoyun understood. He turned back to the set to continue filming the remaining scenes. The weather was quite good today, and they indeed needed to seize the time.
As expected, the doctor was right. In less than a few minutes, Su Tang, who was lying on the lounge chair, woke up. The lack of oxygen made his consciousness a bit groggy, but sensing the familiar scent of the Alpha’s pheromones, he reached out his arms wanting a hug.
The eyes of many other staff members were focused on their every move. Su Tang wasn’t clear-headed, and Ye Chiyu didn’t care. He carefully avoided the oxygen tube and pulled his little Omega into his arms.
“Mr. Ye, what happened to me?”
Su Tang’s small head was buried in the crook of the Alpha’s neck. Because of the scene, his hair was dirty and messy, leaving dark smudges on Ye Chiyu’s white shirt.
Ye Chiyu rubbed the little guy’s head and reported the situation to his little husband: “The filming site had high temperatures and thin oxygen. You fainted from oxygen deprivation.”
“Oh…”
So that was it.
Su Tang himself had absolutely no memory of it. In fact, he had seemingly lost consciousness just after being shot and falling. Thus, the final few seconds of the scene were actually completed by accident during his faint.
Seeing that he had woken up, the on-site doctor came over to remove the nasal oxygen. He told Su Tang to rest well after wrapping and going home. Su Tang was now fully awake; he quickly thanked the doctor and obediently agreed.
There were still a few other scenes left to film, so Su Tang and Ye Chiyu, not wanting to be stared at, went to the car together to wait for the true final scene of Undercurrent to finish.
Su Tang dozed off briefly in Ye Chiyu’s arms. The two of them, who had reunited last night after a long separation, could only be described as frantic. The Alpha had tasted the sweetness, and his offensive was so fierce that Su Tang found it both strange and fresh. Directly disregarding everything, he had clung to Ye Chiyu and asked him to permanently mark him.
After hearing his words, the Alpha still seemed somewhat unwilling. Su Tang, blushing and panting, said that today was an auspicious day.
Ye Chiyu’s gaze was hesitant. Su Tang’s two fair, slender legs wrapped around the Alpha’s waist. He leaned over and pressed the tall Alpha beneath him, pointing to his own stomach.
“Chiyu-gege, don’t you want a baby that belongs to us?”
The Alpha stared into the Omega’s eyes, seemingly still thinking, but Su Tang didn’t intend to let Ye Chiyu continue escaping.
He didn’t know the reason, but Mr. Ye had always avoided permanently marking him. However, that reason was definitely not that he didn’t love him.
“Mr. Ye, I love you. Very, very much.”
“I don’t want a temporary mark. I want to be bound to you for the rest of my life…”
“Please.”
The Omega’s watery eyes were filled with a pool of spring desire. The little guy’s confession caused Ye Chiyu to lose his final shred of logic and restraint.
A permanent mark was different from a first temporary mark. When the Alpha’s specialized fangs pierced the gland and injected a high concentration of pheromones, Su Tang didn’t find it painful at all.
Perhaps because his own Green Tea pheromones had long since merged with the Alpha’s Whiskey pheromones, the Omega’s body showed no rejection reaction toward the familiar scent.
The soul-piercing pleasure derived from a deep, permanent mark caused the Omega’s body to go completely soft. Like someone who had discovered a new continent, he clung to Ye Chiyu, wanting more.
“Su Tang wanted it, and Ye Chiyu gave it.”
“Mr. Ye, we were so intense last night, could I have gotten pregnant already?”
Su Tang looked at the Alpha sitting next to him, who was playing with his fingers, and murmured.
Ye Chiyu looked up, a faint hint of expectation in his eyes as he looked at his little Omega. He said, “Weren’t you afraid of getting pregnant before? Last night I thought you were joking. Now think carefully—do you really want us to have a child?”
The Omega smiled and threw himself into Ye Chiyu’s arms, saying sweetly, “I do.”
“As long as it’s a baby belonging to me and Mr. Ye, I’ll love it.”
After the couple attended the wrap party for Undercurrent, Ling Yu, under Ye Chiyu’s instruction, gave Su Tang a month-long vacation.
With nothing to do, Su Tang secretly bought a bunch of pregnancy test sticks and kept them at home. Every morning, he would test once behind the Alpha’s back.
Twenty-some days later, a gift box containing a pregnancy test stick was suddenly delivered to the Ye Group President’s desk.
