MY OMEGA IS A SWEET LITTLE BEAN CHAPTER 9

Chapter 9: A Dream-like Marriage Certificate

Su Tang had no idea how the Alpha had gotten him to the Civil Affairs Bureau. By the time he snapped out of his daze, the little red marriage certificate was already in his hands.

Was he dreaming?

Su Tang stared blankly at the certificate. In the photo, two people in white shirts were smiling stiffly at the camera. Out of the camera’s view, Ye Chiyu’s warm hand had been gripping his tightly, as if terrified he might bolt.

Glancing at the Alpha sitting beside him, Su Tang was still convinced this had to be a dream.

Mr. Ye hadn’t even met his sister yet, and he hadn’t met Mr. Ye’s family either. This had to be a dream.

Autumn had already arrived in S City, painting the maple trees in shades of red. The bustling city was bathed in the warm glow of the autumn leaves, and the air carried their distinct, sweet scent.

Su Tang lowered the car window, letting the autumn breeze caress his clean, fair face for a moment. He closed his eyes in comfort, his long lashes casting a soft shadow on his cheeks.

This dream felt incredibly real. Su Tang could even smell the milky aroma of pancakes from a breakfast shop on the side of the road. His delicate, upturned nose twitched, sniffing the air.

“Ahh, even if this is a dream, I’m really craving some pancakes drizzled with maple syrup,” he murmured.

Ye Chiyu sat quietly beside the Omega, who was lost in his dream world. The wind carried a distinct chill, so the Alpha sent a quick message before draping his own large, black coat over Su Tang’s shoulders.

“Qi Yuan, head straight back to the family home.”

The coat was saturated with the Alpha’s pheromones. Su Tang obediently rested his head on the window frame, burying his face in the fabric to take a deep breath. A smile as sweet as maple syrup spread across his face, his eyes sparkling.

“Mr. Ye, your pheromones smell amazing.”

“Is that so?” Watching the still-dazed Su Tang, Ye Chiyu let out a cheerful laugh. He reached out and gently patted the back of Su Tang’s head. “Little Su Tang, I feel I should probably remind you that you are not, in fact, dreaming.”

Su Tang stubbornly shook his head, insisting, “No, I am! This is definitely a dream!”

Mr. Ye hadn’t even met his sister. He was too much of a gentleman to do something so rash without talking to her first. Besides, there was no way he could have just shown up at his apartment so early in the morning—he didn’t have a key.

Convinced of this, Su Tang even reached out and playfully pinched the bridge of Ye Chiyu’s nose, sighing, “Why can’t I have a nose bridge this high? It’s so handsome, hehe. Your eyes are beautiful, too. Everything about you is handsome, Mr. Ye.”

The object of his praise couldn’t hide the amusement in his eyes. “Well, just a little reminder for my dreaming friend Su Tang: in a little while, you’ll be coming home with me to meet my parents.”

His hand was still caressing the Alpha’s face, but the sensation was far too real. A slow, dawning horror crept over Su Tang as he finally realized something was very wrong.

He snatched his hand back as if he’d been zapped by electricity, shrinking into his seat and feeling a profound sense of shame for his own stupidity.

Oh, heavens, how could anyone be this dense!

To think he’d been so brazenly flirting with Mr. Ye just because he thought it was a dream—he wanted the ground to swallow him whole!

Su Tang didn’t dare look at Ye Chiyu’s face. He ducked his head so low it nearly touched the floor. After an internal struggle, he managed to choke out a dry, pathetic “I’m sorry,” before a new wave of anxiety washed over him.

“I… I didn’t bring anything…”

He was about to meet Mr. Ye’s family, after all. He’d been whisked away right after he’d gotten dressed this morning, with no time to prepare any kind of gift.

Ye Chiyu chuckled softly, reassuring him. “Don’t worry. I’ve already spoken with them. You don’t need to bring anything. The main purpose of this visit is just for you to meet them. We’re married now, which means they’re your family, too.”
