Chapter 90: Attending the Premiere Together
The premiere officially began, and the lead cast of Undercurrent took the stage after being introduced by the host.
Ye Chiyu, in a black suit, was arranged in a well-positioned second row. Sitting next to him were mostly the family members of the actors. The first row was occupied by the producers and investors.
Several investors saw the Ye Group President, who was very conspicuous even in a crowd, the moment they took their seats. After meeting the Alphaâs cold gaze, they quickly retracted their looks, pretending they hadn’t seen anything, yet they began to feel like they were sitting on pins and needles.
The immensely powerful Ye Chiyu was actually sitting behind them; it was impossible not to be nervous.
When they invested, no one told them that the Ye Group President was the family member of one of the actors! If they had known, for Ye Chiyuâs sake, the investment amount would have had to double or triple. The investors and producers in the first row whispered in low voices, collectively condemning Tao Cheng and Huang Qimi for being disloyal by not even telling them that the family member of their own headquarters’ boss was acting in the movie. Huang and Tao sat calmly, letting the words go in one ear and out the other.
Ye Chiyu hadn’t spoken; did they dare say anything?
Furthermore, in their understanding, President Ye still had to listen to Su Tang. Little Comrade Su hadn’t mentioned President Yeâs existence, so even if they were given a hundred times the courage, they wouldn’t dare leak the news.
The Undercurrent crew officially took the stage. The fans sitting in the back began to boil with excitement. The media flashes never stopped, clicking away at the actors and directors. Su Tang tried his best to maintain the smile on his face and control himself to blink less. He finally endured this long minute of media photo time under the baptism of flashes.
As soon as he took the stage, he saw Ye Xiansheng sitting below. Seeing his own Alpha looking at him with a fixed gaze, his eyes filled with him alone, Su Tang felt a wave of sweetness in his heart.
Considering Su Tang was pregnant, the crew had arranged chairs for everyone as soon as they took the stage. The host was very witty and humorous, and the fans were supportive, so the atmosphere on site remained good.
After the director introduced the film, the interviews with the lead actors began. During Jiang Ningâs interview, Su Tang noticed that Jiang Ningâs partner was sitting next to Ye Chiyu. The expression on his face was similar to when Ye Xiansheng looked at him. They must be very much in love. He silently ate a mouthful of “dog food.”
Ye Chiyu kept his eyes fixed on his little Omega. Sensing that he was actually looking at someone else, he frowned and glanced sideways at the man sitting next to him, feeling strangely jealous.

Ye Chiyu didn’t deny it. He gave an Mhm but didn’t intend to say more.
Lin Rui stared at Jiang Ning, who was radiant on stage. The man’s charm under the spotlight was infinitely magnified. He silently said in his heart, I love my Jiang Ning most.
It had to be said that Jiang Ningâs interview was very watchable. Various high-EQ answers and perfectly timed wit made everyone feel delighted. After the interview ended, Su Tang, who had been listening intently, even felt like he hadn’t heard enough, silently lamenting.

Su Tang turned on his microphone and smiled as he spoke: “Hello everyone, Iâm Su Tang. I play the character Chen Nuo in Undercurrent.”
“Welcome, Su Tang.”
The host and the audience on site clapped together. He was also very interested in this super newcomer who had been a hot topic lately but had actually debuted less than a year ago. Before the interview, he had prepared a stack of questions.
After interviewing Su Tang on some questions regarding the film shooting and his own insights, the host began to get gossipy.
“Finally, I have two more questions to ask on behalf of the vast number of netizens,” the host smilingly looked at Su Tang, who was momentarily stunned, and tossed out the pre-prepared questions.
“We all know that you recently announced that you are married and pregnant, which surprised us greatly. Congratulations here on unlocking a new identity. This is the first movie you have starred in. Can you reveal to us, did your husband accompany you to the scene today?”
As soon as the host’s question fell, the audience and media in the back rows gathered their gazes onto the backs of the people in the front rows, holding their breath as they waited for Su Tangâs answer.
The fellow actors sitting around him who had already seen Ye Chiyu had expressions of “already knew it.” They silently remained silent, waiting for Su Tang to speak.
They were also curious as to which category Su Tang and Ye Chiyuâs relationship fell into.
The difference in their status and position was immense. In the entertainment circle, actors “kept” by wealthy people were everywhere, while those truly bound by love were actually few and far between.
After only a moment of surprise, Su Tang quickly composed himself. Upon receiving Ye Chiyuâs consenting gaze from below, he smiled and nodded, his eyes shining.
“Thank you for your blessing. He came with me today too. Heâs sitting below the stage right now.”
The host gave a meaningful Oh and sharply scanned the family members in the second row, his eyes shifting between Lin Rui and Ye Chiyu, the two who seemed to fit the age criteria.
“Wow, it seems heâs a big handsome guy.”
Su Tang lowered his head and smiled somewhat bashfully while covering his mouth. When he looked up, he nodded very sincerely to the host. “He is indeed very handsome. Taking him out makes me feel very insecure.”
The back-and-forth between the host and Su Tang nearly drove the reporters and Su Tangâs fans in the back crazy. Because the venue had rules that the media and fans were not allowed to come forward to take photos, they could only frantically take individual photos of every man in that group of backs in the front row, preparing to go back and study them carefully to see if they could recognize anyone.
Sitting next to Ye Chiyu, Lin Rui somewhat curiously observed the Alphaâs expression. Unlike the wary and cold look from when he looked at him, the expression on this manâs face right now had nothing to do with being serious. The love the Alpha couldn’t hide was about to take physical form and fill the entire screening hall.

To coordinate with the premiere, the crewâs interview time and interaction activities were strictly limited to within one hour. Su Tang had nothing to do after finishing his interview. He silently “slacked off” while listening to others being interviewed, occasionally glancing at his Ye Xianshengâs handsome face. Time flew by.
“Today, all our interview activities end here. Itâs nearly six o’clock. Our Undercurrent premiere is about to begin. Everyone, please take your seats. The lead actors can take their seats below the stage to watch with everyone.”
After the host finished speaking, everyone rose in an orderly fashion. After getting off the stage, they sat in the pre-arranged edge positions of the first row to watch the official Undercurrent premiere with the media and fans on site.
As soon as Su Tang sat down, the phone in his pocket rang. Upon opening it, it was a message from the Alpha.
[Tangtang, you seem to have never praised me for being handsome to my face.]
“Pfft…”
Su Tang covered his mouth and laughed. He looked back at Ye Xiansheng, who seemed to have no expression. He intentionally pretended not to see the hidden expectation in the other party’s eyes and put the phone back into his pocket.
