Chapter 10: What’s Gotten Into You? Part 1
Han Naijin and Bai Mu walked out of the cockpit one after another and returned to the ground. Seeing the main control panel held in Bai Mu’s arms, everyone’s jaws dropped.
In an instant, not only did the air solidify, but everyone held their breath, waiting to see how the Consul would deal with this reckless Omega who dared to dismantle a mecha.
But after staring at the Consul for a long time, the Consul showed no reaction. He didn’t even offer a single reprimand, letting this Omega act as willfully as he pleased. This was…
Is he spoiling him too much?!
Only Tang Li struggled to maintain his composure as the Chief Mecha Master. He said in a deep voice, “I believe this… how should I address you?”
“Luo Yi,” Bai Mu said.
“I believe Mr. Luo Yi must have already identified the problem with the coordinate system.”
Tang Li’s words were like a hidden blade in a smile. He had seen all of Bai Mu’s actions. From initially not taking this youth seriously to seeing that he indeed had some skill, he felt he had lost face. Privately, he didn’t want this youth to actually fix the coordinate system.
Bai Mu didn’t care and said frankly, “Not yet, but when I come back tomorrow morning, I will certainly provide everyone with a complete repair plan.”
Thus, clutching the main control panel, Bai Mu followed Han Naijin back into the black maglev car amidst the crowd’s shifting gazes.
Bai Mu sat in the same spot as before. Situ and Han Naijin sat in the front, occasionally talking, while Bai Mu stared out the car window. The scenery outside flickered past frame by frame, and soon, the car drove back into the Han Manor.
After getting out of the car, Bai Mu went straight back to his room. He carefully set down the control panel and immediately prepared to start working.
But to his surprise, Han Naijin followed him into the room with an air of entitlement. Han Naijin sat on the sofa and toyed with his light computer. His comfortable appearance made Bai Mu wonder for a moment if he had walked into the wrong room.
What is he doing here?
In the cockpit that afternoon, he clearly felt Han Naijin had no interest in repairing mechas. What he was about to do was more of the same—dry and tedious work. Did Han Naijin really plan to keep watching?
Bai Mu truly couldn’t figure out Han Naijin’s purpose, so he stopped thinking about it. He looked around the room and couldn’t find a suitable place to put the panel, so he simply placed it on the floor. He sat on the rug to operate the panel and performed some adjustments, and a clear holographic image of a mecha was projected onto the floor.
Bai Mu stared at the mecha image and let out a heavy breath. Having sat for an entire afternoon, his lower back felt a bit sore, so he reached back to massage it.
The person on the sofa finally spoke: “Tired? If you’re tired, take a rest.”
Immediately after, a cushion flew from the sofa. It hit Bai Mu right on the head, making his skull hum.
Bai Mu glanced back at Han Naijin. Can this person not perform a single normal human act?!
Bai Mu took the cushion and placed it behind his back, leaning against the wall. Regardless, it was indeed much more comfortable.
At that moment, a knock sounded at the door. Han Naijin stood up to open it before Bai Mu could. It was Situ, holding two takeaway meals, which he handed to Han Naijin. “The two meals you wanted.”
Han Naijin took the meals and was about to close the door, but Situ didn’t seem to want to leave. Han Naijin asked, “Something else?”
Situ peered through the gap of the door into the room. Seeing Bai Mu focused on the mecha and not looking their way, he leaned in and pulled something from his own pocket, quickly stuffing it into Han Naijin’s trouser pocket. Then, he patted Han Naijin’s chest with an expression that said “A father’s heart is broken for you” before closing the door and walking away.
Han Naijin was holding the two meals and didn’t have a free hand to see what Situ had stuffed in his pocket. He returned to the room, placed the food in front of Bai Mu, and sat cross-legged on the floor himself. Bai Mu opened his container to see sliced steak, cream of mushroom soup, and a salad—it was quite lavish.
Originally, he was going to solve his hunger with a bottle of nutrient solution. He hadn’t expected Han Naijin to have the kitchen prepare a meal. Bai Mu realized that Han Naijin had actually thought about the fact that he hadn’t eaten.
Han Naijin also opened his container and was about to eat, but his long legs felt uncomfortable curled on the floor. He moved toward the bed, leaning his back against the bedside and bending his legs. This was much more comfortable, but he forgot that in this posture, his trouser pocket was turned downward. The item Situ had stuffed in earlier fell onto the floor.
Watching Han Naijin’s boisterous eating style, Bai Mu wanted to laugh. As he glanced over, he saw the fallen item and reminded him casually, “You dropped something.”
Han Naijin looked down, and a mouthful of mushroom soup almost sprayed out!
Displaying the reaction speed of a former top-paid Flying Eagle mercenary, Han Naijin suddenly reached out from behind Bai Mu to cover his eyes, pulling him into his arms to restrain him.
Even while eating, Bai Mu’s mind was on the mecha repairs, and he was completely unprepared for Han Naijin to pull such a move. They had just been getting along quite harmoniously, and now Han Naijin was suddenly attacking him again. Bai Mu felt frustrated. “Let go of me! What’s gotten into you?!”
But Han Naijin didn’t care what he said or how he struggled. One hand covered his eyes while the other quickly picked up the two small items from the floor and stuffed them back into his pocket.
Phew. He definitely didn’t see what they were.
Han Naijin withdrew his hand, having put the two condoms back in his pocket.
Wait?
There’s another one in the pocket!
He just thought the Omega looked a bit cute when he was focused on repairing mechas and wanted to watch for a bit. He also knew the Omega wouldn’t eat properly, so he just thought about having a meal with him. Situ, you bastard, what do you mean by stuffing three condoms in my pocket?!
After putting the items away, Han Naijin released his hand from Bai Mu’s eyes. However, Bai Mu was still held in his arms. Bai Mu’s thin back was pressed against his chest; he could feel the person’s waistline suddenly tighten and see his hands with nowhere to go.
A fine current of electricity seemed to flow through their touching skin. Han Naijin’s body shuddered, and he suddenly released Bai Mu.
Bai Mu, having been mysteriously attacked, was holding back a surge of anger. When the person behind him suddenly let go, Bai Mu turned and grabbed Han Naijin’s neck with one hand while pushing his shoulder with the other, throwing him toward the floor.
Normally, Han Naijin could easily have dodged. But now, fearing those three “time bombs” might fall out again, he kept one hand in his pocket clutching them. With only one hand to fight, he lost his balance and fell heavily onto the floor with a thud.
Bai Mu gained the upper hand and naturally wouldn’t let the opportunity go. Seeing Han Naijin about to get up, he leaned forward and straddled Han Naijin’s waist, pressing his hands against the man’s shoulders to pin him back to the ground.
Then, in the room, except for the running programs on the main control panel, even the air was still.
The chest of the person beneath him rose and fell. When he first straddled him, a hint of surprise flashed in the man’s eyes, but it vanished instantly. Then, the man looked like he was ready to be slaughtered, not moving or resisting.
Like a “dead pig that doesn’t fear boiling water.”
Bai Mu’s expression was cold and proud. He looked down at Han Naijin from above. Having a powerful Alpha under control made him enjoy the feeling of dominance. However, the man wasn’t intimidated by his stern aura at all. He just lay lazily on the floor, squinting at Bai Mu. This made Bai Mu sense danger. He heard Han Naijin’s lips curve into a playful smile as he whispered, “So… you like this posture…”
Bai Mu: “?”
With that, Han Naijin actually began to unbutton his shirt, saying slowly, “It’s not out of the question.”
As he spoke, Han Naijin had already undone two buttons. Bai Mu’s hands were still firmly pressed against Han Naijin’s shoulders. From the palms and thighs, a burning heat traveled from their points of contact. The atmosphere in the room became sticky, and even the air seemed to have grown several degrees more humid. Bai Mu felt his body burning, while Han Naijin watched him with leisurely confidence, seemingly certain that Bai Mu would lose this confrontation.
But Han Naijin had overlooked one fact: as a top-tier mecha master, Bai Mu’s learning ability and reaction speed were exceptionally powerful. When he realized that Han Naijin was only doing this to make him feel embarrassed and defeated, his chaotic emotions calmed. He quickly formulated a counter-strategy.
Bai Mu first curled his lips into a smile. Then, he placed his hand over Han Naijin’s hand, which was still unbuttoning. He lowered his head, his gaze falling on Han Naijin’s faintly visible chest, showing a look of greed. “Let me.”
Han Naijin: “…?!”
The development seems different from what I imagined?
He was certain Bai Mu would flee in panic. Despite the Omega’s frequent subtle provocations, every time Han Naijin grabbed his wrist, the Omega would instinctively try to break free immediately—showing he actually disliked physical contact. So, he was confident that this rogue tactic would be enough to make the Omega collapse. But… no.
Bai Mu’s hand covered Han Naijin’s hand. The two were at a stalemate, neither willing to let go. They were both waiting—waiting for the other to lose first. The air fell into an eerie silence until—
Beep… beep… beep…
