Paranoid Boss Always Wants to Possess Me CHAPTER 16

Chapter 16: Did You Hit Your Head?

“Mr. Chen, I suddenly understand why you said not to provoke Li Qi.”

“He’s a seriously ruthless guy!”

Chen Jiamu thought he meant Li Qi’s personality was ruthless, and after a moment of contemplation, agreed, “You’re right, he’s a seriously ruthless guy.”

Ruthless to others, and even more ruthless to himself, as evidenced by his standing in the rain on the balcony. But the kid’s constitution is amazing; he didn’t even get sick.

Chen Jiamu’s agreement solidified Zhao Hu’s thoughts. He’d have to be more cautious around Li Qi from now on…

He didn’t want to become the next Chen Jiamu…

Li Qi, walking away with his books, didn’t know their thoughts. Even if he did, he’d calmly call them both crazy.

In the afternoon, Chen Jiamu attended class in his wheelchair, the teachers turning a blind eye to his antics.

Seeing that the teachers ignored him, Chen Jiamu wheeled himself next to Li Qi. After what happened the other day, Li Qi’s attitude towards Chen Jiamu had softened considerably.

He didn’t say anything when Chen Jiamu approached him, and even helped him straighten his wheelchair.

Just as Chen Jiamu was about to speak, Li Qi gave him a sharp look, “You can sit here, but don’t make a scene.”

Chen Jiamu knew Li Qi was trying to listen to the lecture, so he discreetly mimed zipping his lips, then sat beside him, resting his head on the desk, boredly scrolling through his phone.

Li Qi glanced at him, ignoring him and focusing on the lecture.

After class, Chen Jiamu suddenly grabbed Li Qi’s hand, his face embarrassed, “Can you… take me to the restroom…”

Li Qi didn’t say anything, got up, and pushed him to the restroom. Students passing by turned to look; when had their relationship become so good?

Li Qi completely ignored the stares, his lips tightly pursed as he pushed Chen Jiamu into the men’s restroom.

“I… need your help…”

“You…”

Li Qi stood at the restroom door. Chen Jiamu’s words made his face flush, but luckily, Chen Jiamu was facing away, so he couldn’t see his predicament.

“I can’t stand on one leg to use the toilet…”

“I can help with the small business, what about the big one?”

Li Qi asked sincerely, but Chen Jiamu hadn’t considered this problem.

The school toilets were squat toilets, not sit-down toilets…

“This…”

“Don’t even think about me helping you with the big business…”

After a moment of hesitation, Li Qi decisively refused. Chen Jiamu awkwardly scratched the back of his head, pondered for a moment, and said heavily, “We can worry about the big business later…”

“If you don’t help me, I’m really going to pee my pants!”

His shout made Li Qi hold his breath and carefully support him to the urinal at the back.

“Okay, hold my shoulders, I’ll face away from you.”

Li Qi’s ears were bright red. This was the first time he’d done this, and he couldn’t help but feel shy.

He wasn’t the only one shy; Chen Jiamu was also in a difficult situation, but the deed had to be done…

Afterward, Li Qi’s face was flushed, and Chen Jiamu struggled to regulate his breathing to appear less embarrassed.

Leaving the restroom, Chen Jiamu was unusually quiet; that scene was a major challenge in his life…

“Or maybe we can ask the principal to get you one of those toilet chairs for elderly people. Although, you probably don’t know what that is…”

Li Qi pondered, already thinking of a solution to Chen Jiamu’s bathroom problem.

Chen Jiamu had no idea what that was; he only heard the word “principal”.

“That old man is too busy; you won’t find him.”

Chen Jiamu shook his head. Li Qi simply glanced at him and then pushed him into the next classroom.

He instructed, “Wait here, I’ll get something.”

After speaking, Li Qi left the classroom, and Chen Jiamu, without thinking much, nodded.

Li Qi thought there was a hospital near the school that probably sold toilet seats for the elderly.

That would be the best thing for Chen Jiamu; he could even use it as a crutch when not in the bathroom.

Thinking it was a short distance, Li Qi grabbed a shared bicycle and pedaled towards the hospital.

The midday sun was scorching. After only a few minutes, Li Qi was drenched in sweat, feeling sweat trickle down his back…

Without bothering to wipe the sweat, Li Qi parked his bike and entered a store. As expected, they sold them!

“Boss, how much is this?”

“Thirty-five.”

The boss looked up, and upon seeing Li Qi, a flash of admiration appeared in her eyes.

“I’ll take it.”

Li Qi didn’t hesitate to choose a black one, took out the cash Song Jin had given him, and handed a bill to the boss.

The boss didn’t take her eyes off Li Qi while giving him change; a smile never left her face, “Handsome, you look unfamiliar, are you new here?”

“Mm.”

Li Qi didn’t want to waste words, took the change, and strode out of the store.

Hanging the seat on his bike, Li Qi left the store. After he left, a beautiful woman stormed out of the hospital, cursing.

“Damn quack doctors!”

“Saying I have a terminal illness, what a load of crap!”

Zhang Yongmei angrily tore up her medical report and threw it away, the pieces scattering on the ground…

Finally, with two minutes to spare before class, Li Qi, drenched in sweat, ran into the classroom, carrying the toilet seat he had bought…

If you didn’t look closely, many would think it was a cane…

“Eh, where did you go? You’re all sweaty.”

“Why did you buy a cane?”

Chen Jiamu looked at him with confusion. What had he been doing for those ten minutes?

“Here, this is useful.”

Throwing the seat to him, Li Qi sat down and tried to catch his breath.

“Huh?” Chen Jiamu was puzzled. He placed the seat to the side, Li Qi wiping his sweat, explained word by word, “A toilet seat, you won’t need help going to the bathroom anymore.”

“Huh?”

Now Chen Jiamu was confused. Was there such a thing?

“Mm, just open it and put it on the squat toilet.”

Li Qi’s face was flushed, his bangs wet with sweat, clinging to his forehead, revealing a clean, full forehead.

Chen Jiamu sat beside him, secretly pleased. Li Qi had run far to buy something for him and thoughtfully considered his needs; did this mean the kid had feelings for him?

Thinking this, he felt that the day he became Li Qi’s boss was near.

However, he thought, being a boss wasn’t necessary, being a good friend was fine; at least, in this place, no one could bully him.

The classroom had air conditioning. Li Qi took a long time to cool down, and turning his head, he saw Chen Jiamu grinning at him…

“What? Did you hit your head too?”

“No!” Chen Jiamu denied it immediately, pretending nothing had happened.
