Li Qi took a deep breath and softly teased him. Seeing this, Chen Jiamu rolled his eyes and mouthed an insult at him.
Li Qi didn’t hear his voice, but reading his lips, he guessed what he was saying.
“You’re sick…”
He silently chuckled twice, a sudden feeling of déjà vu washing over him. The last time he and Chen Jiamu eavesdropped on gossip was four years ago.
He had taken Chen Jiamu to eavesdrop on the gossip between his senior and his senior’s boyfriend.
However, they were discovered that time.
Just as Chen Jiamu was about to continue listening, the waiter brought their food.
Food first, gossip later.
Putting the eavesdropping aside, Chen Jiamu’s attention turned to the grilled fish.
After taking a bite of the well-seasoned black fish, Chen Jiamu gave Li Qi a thumbs-up.
“Delicious.”
Perhaps feeling guilty, Chen Jiamu didn’t dare to speak loudly.
Li Qi responded with a nod, and their meal became a silent affair.
On the other hand, Qian Chengfeng, opposite them, waited until the waiter had served their food before continuing.
“Don’t be afraid, I won’t do anything to you.”
“We’re all colleagues.”
Seeing Zhang Xin’s fear, Qian Chengfeng didn’t dare to rush. After he said this, Zhang Xin dared to loosen her grip on her clothes.
“Let’s eat.”
Qian Chengfeng pretended to be a gentleman and served her some food, and Zhang Xin could only accept it.

Her family was patriarchal; her parents would never help or consider her.
The peace was only because she still had value. But if one day she lost her value, she would become a stepping stone for her brother…
She wouldn’t let that happen!
“Who says you can’t? I think you can, and that’s all that matters.”
“I haven’t submitted the application list yet.”
Seeing Zhang Xin’s attitude softening, Qian Chengfeng understood.
His heart leaped with joy; his hand moved faster than his mouth, grabbing Zhang Xin’s slender, soft hand, “With a word from me, that team leader position…”
Zhang Xin instinctively tried to pull away, but her parents’ faces flashed before her eyes. Gritting her teeth, Zhang Xin forced a sweet smile, giggling, “Manager~”
Zhang Xin’s initiative was like a match igniting desire. Their eyes met, both understanding each other’s intentions.
With that response, Qian Chengfeng became bolder, sitting directly next to Zhang Xin.
He pulled her into his arms, whispering in her ear, “I knew you were a sensible girl.”
Zhang Xin smelled the smoke on his breath, her stomach churning. But she endured it.
Zhang Xin didn’t resist, instead leaning closer. Qian Chengfeng smiled triumphantly, his hand moving from her hand to her thigh.
Zhang Xin was vain; even in the cool autumn, she wore a short skirt under a light-colored coat.
This gave Qian Chengfeng the opportunity. Zhang Xin instinctively squeezed her legs together, but Qian Chengfeng’s voice reached her ear.
“Don’t worry, I’ll make sure you get that team leader position.”
“Be good, be obedient.”
Zhang Xin trembled, her legs slowly relaxing…
Chen Jiamu couldn’t see the details clearly, but seeing Qian Chengfeng change seats, he understood what he was doing.
He couldn’t hear their conversation, but he vaguely heard something about a team leader. He looked at Li Qi, who was picking at his food, and quickly asked, “Is there a team leader promotion going on recently?”
