Chapter 46 Coconut Milk Allergy?
The next morning, Chen Jiamu woke up with a throbbing head.
Staring at the white ceiling, he fell into thought, about last night…
He seemed to have had an indescribable dream, hearing Li Qi’s voice, which sounded like both a gasp and a suppressed moan.
Indescribable images flashed through his mind; the feeling of their lips meeting made his face flush crimson.
He rarely had such dreams, but why was it Li Qi?!
He’s a man!
Covering his face, Chen Jiamu closed his eyes and silently lamented his fate. Suddenly, he remembered that he’d felt sleepy after drinking coconut milk yesterday, and then fell into a deep sleep.
He didn’t even remember when Li Qi took him home.

Could he be allergic to coconut milk?
But would an allergic reaction cause this kind of response?
Sleepiness?
Chen Jiamu couldn’t figure it out and decided to go to the hospital for a check-up in the afternoon.
Thinking back to his dream made him uncomfortable. He lifted the covers and checked. His clothes were the same as yesterday, his underwear and pants were all there.
Only his socks and coat were missing, meaning Li Qi had gone home after he got him back.
He really was a good person, diligently taking him home twice.
Holding his head, Chen Jiamu got out of bed and went to the bathroom. After washing up, he went to the living room. Seeing that Little Seven’s food bowl was empty, he filled it and opened the door to go to work.
Li Qi was just going out with a garbage bag when he saw him. Raising his chin, he said lightly, “Oh, sleepyhead.”
“Don’t joke. I was just about to mention this. Strangely, I’ve never drunk coconut milk before, but both times I’ve had it, I’ve gotten sleepy. Could I be allergic?”
“Allergic? With cow’s milk, I only know about lactose intolerance, which causes diarrhea. I’ve never heard of allergies causing sleepiness.”
They talked about the coconut milk from yesterday as they walked, Li Qi acting as if nothing had happened.
“Then I should get it checked. Otherwise, if I drink it again, who knows what might happen.”
“Go this afternoon. I know a doctor.”
“Okay.”
After exiting the elevator, Li Qi threw away the trash and went to get the car, Chen Jiamu comfortably getting a ride to work.
“If you don’t get carsick, I’ll get you a new car.”
“Unfortunately, I do.”
Chen Jiamu casually picked up Li Qi’s words. Li Qi chuckled without saying anything more.
As usual, Chen Jiamu got out of the car near the company entrance. As soon as he arrived, he heard someone shouting from behind, “Chen Jiamu!”
“Good morning!”
Chen Jiamu turned around to see Sun Yuan rushing towards him, holding two fried dough sticks. This startled him; he quickly dodged to the side.
Afraid of getting oil on him.
“Good morning. Did you have breakfast?”
“If not, I have fried dough sticks!”
Chen Jiamu, unusually alert in the morning, had no interest in the greasy fried dough sticks.
“No, thanks.”
“I have bread at my desk.”
Speaking of his desk, Sun Yuan excitedly approached him, “I heard your desk is in the boss’s office. How is it working under the boss’s watchful eye?”
“Is the boss scary?”
Seeing his curiosity about his work environment, Chen Jiamu became interested, feigning difficulty and frowning before saying, “You know how it is.”
“Her gaze was so intense I didn’t dare slack off for a second.”
“Ah?”
Sun Yuan looked shocked, standing there wide-eyed. Chen Jiamu, feeling playful, paused, then sighed and walked into the office.
Chen Jiamu had just entered when Li Qi followed. He bypassed Sun Yuan and entered the office. Sun Yuan frowned at his back.
Looks like Chen Jiamu’s life isn’t easy either.
Entering the office, Li Qi saw Chen Jiamu stifling laughter.
“What’s so funny?”
“Nothing.” Chen Jiamu waved his hand, suppressing his laughter, and took out his phone. Opening it, he nearly dropped it in shock.
“Damn!”
Li Qi had just sat down when she heard Chen Jiamu cry out. Instinctively turning her head, she saw him bending over comically to pick up his phone, and asked, “What’s wrong?”
Wiping the dust off his phone, Chen Jiamu looked at her with a hopeless expression, “My sister’s coming.”

Chen Jiamu sat anxiously in his chair, biting his fingers, completely immersed in his own world. He didn’t notice the hint of manic obsession in Li Qi’s deep eyes.
“It’ll take your sister time to get here, and she doesn’t know where you live.”
“Don’t scare yourself. Go to the hospital to check for allergies this afternoon, and we’ll deal with your sister later.”
Li Qi’s voice was hoarse, his fist clenched, his ears ringing with his own rapid heartbeat.

Slapping his forehead, Chen Jiamu sat up straight, opening his computer with a serious expression.
He opened the Minesweeper game…
He had finished his work yesterday anyway.
Going to the break room for tea at noon, Chen Jiamu met Zhang Xin. Seeing him, Zhang Xin’s eyes darted away, but she still called his name softly.
“Jiamu…”
Chen Jiamu looked at her; the red marks on her neck were striking. He didn’t know what to say, only muttering, “Good luck.”
Zhang Xin was puzzled by his words but lowered her head and quickly left the break room, feeling guilty.
In the afternoon, Chen Jiamu excitedly got into Li Qi’s car to go to the hospital.
However, Li Qi didn’t go to a regular hospital in Su City but drove in the opposite direction.
“Huh, aren’t we going to the hospital?”
“My friend’s hospital is private; it will be faster.”
“Oh, okay.”
Chen Jiamu didn’t think much of it. Private hospitals were indeed faster. Li Qi drove him to a white building.
Seeing the word “hospital,” Chen Jiamu felt relieved and happily followed Li Qi into the lobby.
“Go with the nurse first; I’ll go to the restroom.”
As soon as they entered the lobby, Li Qi said she needed to use the restroom. Chen Jiamu thought everything was arranged, so he could go alone.
“OK.”
Chen Jiamu followed the nurse, while Li Qi stood motionless at the front desk…
