Chapter 57: Sister, Can I Add You?
After Chen Jiamu left, Chen Cheng took An Yiyi’s car home.
Once in the car, she closed her eyes to rest, a wave of dizziness enveloping her brain.
“Sister, are you not feeling well?”
“Do you want some water?”
An Yiyi’s voice drifted in and out. Chen Cheng opened her eyes to see her holding a bottle of water, looking at her with concern.
An Yiyi was quite nice. It was a pity; Chen Jiamu obviously wasn’t interested in her.
“Just a little dizzy. I’m fine.”
Chen Cheng waved her hand, wanting to close her eyes again. But An Yiyi unscrewed the cap and considerately placed the bottle in her hand. “Drink a little. You look really uncomfortable.”
“Is it a headache?”
“I learned head massage abroad. Do you want me to try and see if it helps?”
“My mom used to laugh at me for it.”
An Yiyi blinked her large eyes, looking obedient and gentle. Chen Cheng’s heart softened at the sight.
She didn’t understand why a wealthy young lady would learn something like that.
“It is a bit dizzy…”
“Then I’ll trouble you.”
Seeing her looking so pitiful, Chen Cheng couldn’t bring herself to refuse. She could be cold and sarcastic to men, but she had no defense against such a sweet, soft girl.
Unless, of course, she was a “green tea” type (fake innocent).
“Not at all. Being able to help you isn’t trouble, Sister.”
Hearing Chen Cheng relent, An Yiyi smiled happily. She thoughtfully found a clean white towel in the car and placed it over her lap.
“My dress got dirty today; I hope you don’t mind, Sister.”
An Yiyi’s meticulous actions struck Chen Cheng as cute, so she didn’t pay much attention to the address “Sister.”
Adjusting her posture, Chen Cheng rested her head steadily on An Yiyi’s lap. Through the towel, she could smell the faint scent of An Yiyi’s perfume.
It was very subtle, a scent so perfect it made one want to inhale it deeply.
Chen Cheng’s small sniffing motion was caught by An Yiyi. Her small mouth puckered in delight as she carefully placed her fingers on Chen Cheng’s head.
Her small hands kneaded with just the right amount of force. An Yiyi hadn’t lied; she really had learned this.
Under her massage, Chen Cheng’s dizziness alleviated significantly. Her furrowed brows relaxed.
“You massage very well. Did you learn this to massage your mother?”
After a while, Chen Cheng felt it was enough and didn’t ask her to continue.
Sitting up and straightening her clothes, she assumed An Yiyi learned it for her mother or someone else.
After Chen Cheng sat up, An Yiyi’s expression became subtle. A flash of disappointment crossed her eyes, but it vanished in an instant.
“No, my mother has a fixed masseuse. She doesn’t need me to learn.”
“I just learned it as a hobby.”
Taking the water An Yiyi handed her, Chen Cheng took a small sip, then asked curiously, “You, a young lady from a big family, learned this?”
“Surprising, right? That’s what my mom said too.”
An Yiyi sat up straight, behaving obediently, covering her mouth as she giggled while staring quietly at Chen Cheng’s face.
“A little. But if it’s a personal hobby, then it’s normal.” After all, Chen Jiamu used to like watching people trim horse hooves…
Although she didn’t know if he still liked it, he loved it when he was eighteen.
“Hahaha.”
A beauty is a beauty; even her laughter was pleasing to the eye. Turning to look out the window, Chen Cheng saw her familiar gates and turned to An Yiyi. “I’m here. You should go back and rest early too.”
As Chen Cheng finished speaking, the car came to a stop. She pushed the door open to get out, but An Yiyi suddenly grabbed her hand, her face flushing red. “Um, Sister, can I add you on WeChat?”
“Just your private one, not for work.”
Suddenly asked for her WeChat by a girl, Chen Cheng paused. But thinking she was just a little sister, she readily presented her QR code.
“Scan it.”
The reason Chen Cheng was so straightforward was mainly that she liked An Yiyi’s obedient and gentle demeanor.
These days, girls this well-behaved who didn’t mess around were rare.
“Thank you, Sister. I’ll ask you out for a beauty treatment sometime.”
“Okay.”
Chen Cheng left, but An Yiyi happily hugged her phone. She stared at Chen Cheng’s retreating figure, reluctant to look away. Only when her back disappeared from sight did she begrudgingly withdraw her gaze.
“Let’s go. Home.”
The driver was seeing her act this strangely for the first time, but assuming she liked the Chen family’s young master, he didn’t think much of it.
After returning home, Chen Cheng washed up quickly and fell asleep immediately, completely forgetting to accept An Yiyi’s friend request…
Meanwhile, back at her home, An Yiyi clutched her phone, waiting and waiting, but never seeing Chen Cheng accept the request.
She frowned and began to replay her actions. Did she do something wrong that caused dislike?
Helpless, she could only put down her phone, thinking she would find her again another day.
The next morning, Chen Jiamu was kissed awake. As soon as he opened his eyes, he saw Li Qi’s big head, hands braced on either side of him, licking and gnawing at his mouth.
“Were you a dog in your past life?”
“How do you have so much energy?”
Chen Jiamu pushed his head away, pinning him down to stop him from moving. Li Qi lay on top of him, burying his face in his neck and taking a deep inhale. “If I were a dog, you wouldn’t still have the strength to push me away.”
“Enough, get up. I need to go home.” Chen Jiamu reached out to shove him, but Li Qi was like a plaster, hugging him deathly tight.
“Let me hold you a little longer. I won’t do anything.”
Defeated, Chen Jiamu had no choice but to let him cling like an octopus, sniffing around his neck.
