Chapter 76: Audacious
There was a table separating the two of them; this “hand slip” was a bit far-fetched. The man was about to get angry, but seeing Chen Cheng’s face, he held it back.
Damn it, once I get her drunk later, I’ll make her pay!
“I won’t!”
The man gritted his teeth, wiping the wine off his face with one hand, his voice sounding like it was squeezed out of his throat.
In a moment, her glass was filled again. The man lost the mood to guess names and asked Chen Cheng directly, “Little Sister, just say it. Where are you from?”
“Big Brother doesn’t want to guess anymore.”
Chen Cheng raised her wine glass again. However, the bald man opposite seemed to be on guard this time, staring dead at her as she lifted it.
“Me?”
Chen Cheng smiled, then raised the glass as if to drink it in one gulp. Just as the others relaxed their guard against her… she picked up the glass and smashed it right at the bald man opposite!
“I am your father!”
When she threw the glass, she quickly shoved An Yiyi. While the men hadn’t reacted yet, she grabbed the fruit platter on the table and smashed it with all her might.
“Messing with me? You’ve kicked a steel plate!”
An Yiyi was pushed out; she didn’t dare look back, burying her head and charging straight out in one breath.
Chen Cheng also seized the time to run out, her small hands not forgetting to grab items from nearby tables to throw at the men behind her.
She counted the time in her heart while running toward the door. The bald man had been hit right in the eye by the wine glass and was currently covering his eye, roaring, “Catch that stinking bitch for me!”
“If I don’t f*ck her to death today, I’ll take her surname!”
“Catch her!”
The people behind her were like hungry wolves pouncing on food. Chen Cheng ran in front; they chased behind.
She was just about to run out when she slammed headfirst into a wall of flesh in front of her.
She looked up and saw the bar owner blocking the doorway…
“Damn it! Let’s see where you run now!”
Behind her was the bald man’s clamor. The bar was extremely noisy, with various screams emerging one after another.
Under the dim lights, Chen Cheng stared dead at the bar owner’s face, her teeth grinding loudly.
“Brother Bao, are you okay?”
The bar owner shouted to the bald man behind him, his obese body blocking the bar entrance, refusing to move an inch.
“I’m fine.”
The bald man arrived quickly, covering his eye and grimacing in pain as he pointed at Chen Cheng. “Stinking whore, you’ll suffer in a minute!”
Saying that, he signaled the men beside him. Just as the men were about to make a move, Chen Cheng immediately shouted, “I dare you!”
“Before you touch me, you’d better think clearly! Look and see if I’m someone you can afford to provoke!”
Chen Cheng’s final warning, in the bald man’s eyes, was just a deathbed struggle. He snorted coldly. “What wouldn’t I dare to do!”
“Still claiming to be my father! In a while, I’ll f*ck you until you call me father!”
Saying that, he ordered his men to grab Chen Cheng. In bars, this kind of situation was common. This man called Brother Bao was a notorious local thug in the area, but people couldn’t do anything about him.
His family had money and power; ordinary people didn’t dare oppose him.
And that bar owner indulged him and even helped him block people out of regard for his status.
Usually, it happened in more hidden places; doing it outside today was a first.
With wolves in front and tigers behind, Chen Cheng was trapped in the middle with nowhere to escape.
But just as Brother Bao’s lackey was about to grab Chen Cheng’s arm, the main door was kicked open from the outside with force!
“Nobody move!”
Before the bar owner could react, he was pinned to the ground by a uniformed police officer.
Then, a group of armed police swarmed in, surrounding Brother Bao and his group.
Soon the bar music was turned off, and the overhead lights were all turned on. The people inside consciously held their heads and squatted down. Brother Bao frowned deeply, still screaming recklessly at this moment, “Who the f*ck called the police!”
“Wait until I get out and find out; you’ll all be dead!”
However, he couldn’t be arrogant now. The police didn’t care about him, kicking him in the back of the knee. “Head in hands, squat down! Cut the crap!”
After dealing with the men, the police asked Chen Cheng, “Miss Chen, are you alright?”
“Do you need to be sent to the hospital for a checkup?”
Chen Cheng was still immersed in lingering fear, her heart beating wildly. She didn’t hear clearly what the police said.
“Wuwuwu, Sister!”
“Sister, are you okay!”
Suddenly, a petite figure ran in and hugged Chen Cheng tightly.
Hearing An Yiyi’s voice, Chen Cheng came back to her senses, trembling as she stroked her head. “I’m okay.”
“It’s good that you’re okay, it’s good that you’re okay. Scared me to death!”
An Yiyi was trembling with fear, her tears unstoppable.
Chen Cheng tried hard to stabilize her emotions. Looking at the restrained men, she sneered and walked up to the bar owner, squatting down to look him in the eye.
While no one expected it, she raised her hand and slapped him ruthlessly across the face. “You are a f*cking animal!”
“Beast!”
Another slap landed on his face, making the fat on his cheeks tremble.
The bar owner looked dumbfounded. She dared to hit people with the police right here?
And the police didn’t care?
Just as Chen Cheng stood up, Chen Jiamu’s voice rang out from the door. “Sis, are you okay!”
Chen Jiamu couldn’t get through to Chen Cheng’s phone, so he thought to look for her at her place. But just as he left the house, he received a call from the police station saying Chen Cheng had an incident at a bar.
The voice on the other end was a girl crying. Upon listening, wasn’t that An Yiyi?!
Chen Cheng was bullied?
Once this thought came out, Chen Jiamu didn’t dare stop. He hailed a taxi and rushed over.
“Jiamu? Why are you here?”
Chen Cheng pulled some tissues from a table to wipe her hands in disgust, surprised by Chen Jiamu’s arrival.
Chen Jiamu walked up to her. Just as he wanted to check if she had any wounds, his phone rang. Without even looking, he raised his hand and hung up the call.
At the same time, a certain man far away in Su City panicked…
“Book me the earliest flight to Beicheng tomorrow!”
“Now! Immediately! Right away!”
