Chapter 92: Who Do You Like?
“Just because of that?”
Kicked out just because she fell in love with someone impossible?
Chen Cheng didn’t find that very believable; An Yiyi was likely hiding something.
“Who do you like?”
“Tell me, let me hear it?”
Chen Cheng looked at her curiously. She wanted to see exactly which “sacred being” had managed to capture An Yiyi’s heart.
An Yiyi pursed her lips, staring at Chen Cheng with a complex gaze. Her mouth moved, but she refused to say a word.
“It’s a secret. I’ll tell you when I’ve thought it through one day.”
Her awkward expression made Chen Cheng find the situation amusing. Thinking it was just the typical whims of a young girl, she didn’t press further.
Checking the time, she stood up and walked toward the bathroom. “Alright, go to bed early. It’s too late.”
Hearing it was time for sleep, An Yiyi ran faster than anyone, scurrying into the bedroom like a little rabbit.
By the time Chen Cheng finished washing up, she was already tucked under the covers.
Only a dark head of hair was visible, with two eyes darting around restlessly. She looked quite adorable.
“Go to sleep.”
Lifting the covers and lying down, Chen Cheng reached out and turned off the desk lamp.
In the pitch-black room, An Yiyi leaned her head intimately against Chen Cheng’s shoulder. The corners of her mouth curled up into a very sweet smile.
Winter in Ha Cheng arrived much earlier than in other cities. While other places were just entering late autumn, it was already mid-winter there.
The next morning, Chen Jiamu woke up early and headed to a nearby scenic spot with Li Xi.
Ha Cheng was incredibly cold, but fortunately, both of them were dressed warmly, so walking on the road wasn’t an impossible task.
“This snow scenery is really nice, just a bit cold.”
The snow made a crunch-crunch sound under their feet. Along the way, Chen Jiamu kept stepping on it on purpose.

“Blocks that big?”
Li Xi took one look and withdrew his gaze, calmly pulling Chen Jiamu into a nearby breakfast shop.
“Forget the ice blocks. Let’s eat breakfast first.”
“We can wander around after we eat.”
“Okay.”
Chen Jiamu nodded, and the two entered to order a few breakfast items. The proprietress of the shop had been bragging to other customers, but once she saw the two walk in, her gaze didn’t shift away.
Aima, do handsome guys only come in pairs these days?
“Yo, handsome, your accent doesn’t sound like a local. Did you prepare a travel guide before coming here?”
The proprietress was very enthusiastic, her round face brimming with a hearty smile. It was because of this smile that Chen Jiamu didn’t feel too much of a rejection.
“I did.”
“Haiya, I thought maybe you hadn’t. I was going to let my daughter take you guys around.”
“My daughter just graduated and is idling at home right now.”
The proprietress was exceptionally excited when speaking of her daughter, the love in her eyes causing anyone who saw her to subconsciously smile.
“We’ve already made our own plans, no need for the trouble.”
As soon as a girl was mentioned, how could Chen Jiamu dare to continue the conversation? A single An Yiyi had already made Li Xi harbor a grudge for so long, let alone adding another one.
If another one showed up, he was afraid Li Xi would eat him alive.
Seeing that Chen Jiamu truly wasn’t interested, she could only give up.
Fearing that Li Xi’s mood would sour if they stayed longer, Chen Jiamu buried his head and ate heartily. After finishing, he pulled Li Xi out of the breakfast shop.
However, seeing that his expression was normal after they stepped out, Chen Jiamu assumed he hadn’t taken the matter to heart.
So, he didn’t dwell on it anymore.
Following the guide map Li Xi had found, they slowly arrived at a nearby “snow house” attraction.
But there weren’t many people at this time, and walking inside felt very quiet. As they went further in, they finally saw people. Passing through the snow houses, they reached a lakeside with thick ice. Several sleds tied to sturdy huskies were parked nearby. The owner saw them and immediately approached. “Two handsome guys! Want a sled ride?”
“100 for two people, you can ride for two hours.”
Chen Jiamu was a bit tempted by the sled ride, and Li Xi saw his eagerness. He immediately nodded in agreement. “Sure.”
“Alright then!”
The owner agreed quickly, leading the lead sled dog toward the two of them.
Once they sat down, the space felt a bit cramped. The owner considered asking if they wanted to sit separately, but seeing Li Xi pull Chen Jiamu into his arms, his open mouth silently closed.

Chen Jiamu’s face turned bright red at this gesture. His eyes didn’t even dare to look at the owner who was checking the ropes on the dogs…

“Okay.”
After Li Xi agreed, the owner blew a whistle. As soon as the whistle sounded, the prepared sled dogs began to run forward.
“Wow!”
Chen Jiamu sat steadily in Li Xi’s arms, feeling the stinging sensation of the wind whistling past his face.
The excitement and thrill made him temporarily forget his fear. Li Xi held his waist firmly, the corners of his mouth upturned as he looked dotingly at Chen Jiamu’s side profile.
The sled dogs seemed to be trained; the places they took them were purposeful, crossing the lake surface into a small grove.
Every place they passed kicked up a layer of wind and snow.
“Are you happy?” Li Xi leaned against Chen Jiamu’s shoulder, whispering tenderly into his ear.
“Happy!”
“As long as I’m with you, I’m happy!”
Chen Jiamu responded very quickly, and his answer made Li Xi very happy as well.
He pulled back Jiamu’s collar and left a gentle kiss on his neck. “I’m happy too.”
Both of them knew they didn’t have much time to be together openly, so they cherished it immensely.
They didn’t ride the sled for too long. After completing one loop, the two left the ice rink.
Like an ordinary couple, they walked hand-in-hand down the street, entering characteristic shops together when they saw them.
Not caring in the slightest about the whispers people directed at them, they chose two bracelets in a shop. Chen Jiamu’s interest was quite high. He dragged Li Xi to try one after another, finally selecting a pair of “couple bracelets.”
Elegant beads were strung in a circle; if one didn’t look closely, they couldn’t even tell they were couple bracelets.
“Let’s go with these.”
After Chen Jiamu made his choice and took them to the front desk, the girl there looked at the two of them with a blushing face. After stuttering through the checkout, she quickly lowered her head.
Only after the two walked out of the shop did she excitedly cover her mouth and do a little hop in place.

The one-day tour of Ha Cheng passed by in a flash. After buying their things, the two went to eat and then hurriedly rushed to the airport with their luggage.
On the way, Chen Jiamu asked Li Xi, “Do you feel like coming for just one day is a waste of time?”
“If it were with someone else, I would. But with you, I don’t. I only wish time would go slower.”
Li Xi held his hand, his tone so sincere that Chen Jiamu’s cheeks burned hot.
“Then let’s come again next time and stay longer! I haven’t even seen the ice sculptures yet.”
“Okay.”
Originally, before dinner, they had planned to see the ice sculptures, but the locals said there wasn’t much to see during the day—it would only get lively at night.
But since they didn’t have much time, they couldn’t stay until nightfall. Thus, they could only give up on it, leaving behind a small regret.
