Popular Guide: S-Class Sentinels All Want to Monopolize Me Chapter 10

10. He is Anse

Su Tang raised her head to look for the owner of this crisp voice.

Only then did she discover that standing inside the consultation room was a tall man wearing a white coat.

“Apologies, please bear with it for a moment. I think the smell will fade a lot soon.”

The man reached out and pressed the air circulation button on the side. Indeed, the facilities in the White Tower were top-notch. Whether it was because her nose had adapted or the circulation system really worked that well, walking into the consultation room, Su Tang felt the smell wasn’t as pungent and unbearable anymore.

“First time meeting, hello Guide Su. I am the head of the Medical Department and also the captain of the White Tower’s Sixth Sentinel Squad, I am Anse.”

The man wore a pair of gold-rimmed glasses. Compared to Mo Xiao and the others, the aura of spiritual power on Anse was much more stable, giving people a very peaceful feeling.

“Hello, I am Su Tang.”

She briefly shook the man’s extended hand and quickly separated.

The White Tower’s Sixth Squad was the most special unit. The members had almost never been to the battlefield, yet each one was a genius in mastering spiritual power, not to mention Anse, the captain of the Sixth Squad.

Su Tang’s heart tightened. It seemed her secret couldn’t be kept today, at least not in front of this Director Anse.

Su Tang lowered her eyes and unexpectedly saw a large snow-white ball nestled by the consultation desk. Seeming to sense that she was looking at it, that snow-white ball moved. Then, a small head popped out from that large mass of fluffy white fur. Only then did Su Tang realize this was a very beautiful little white fox.

“It’s a bit shy with strangers. Sit.”

Anse calmly lifted his foot and pushed the little white fox back into the consultation desk, cutting off Su Tang’s line of sight toward it. Then, he pointed to the consultation chair for Su Tang.

“Your performance in the Third Squad’s drill yesterday was excellent.”

He knows?

“No need to look at me like that. There is no absolute information blockade inside the White Tower.”

Su Tang didn’t speak. She sat properly on the consultation chair, and then she felt a wave of gentle spiritual power probing toward her.

“Don’t be nervous, it’s just a routine check.”

Feeling the spiritual power that was conversely being soothed upon contact with her body, Anse confirmed the thoughts in his heart.

“Your spiritual power overdraft is severe. Fortunately, that guy Zhan Ye pushed a potion for you, so it was handled in time.”

Anse retracted the spiritual power covering Su Tang. In just this short while, the steady stream of pleasure transmitted from his body reminded him every moment of the uniqueness in Su Tang’s spirit.

“You just said, it was Zhan Ye who pushed the potion for me?”

Shouldn’t it be someone from the Medical Department?

Anse understood what Su Tang was thinking. Thinking of that person’s request yesterday, an urge to watch the drama unfold welled up in his heart.

“I think he probably knows you don’t want others to discover the uniqueness of your spiritual power. After all, if you want someone from the Medical Department to bring out the potion, you must open a file for examination to get permission.”

“But a high-level Sentinel like him has the privilege to personally take the highest-level supplement from the self-service cabinet.”

After Anse finished speaking, he stared carefully at Su Tang’s face, not wanting to miss a single trace of the girl’s emotional changes.

Unfortunately, Su Tang kept her head lowered, making it really difficult for him to see anything from this angle.

What a pity. I wanted to tell that person about Su Tang’s emotional changes in full detail.

“Does Director Anse have other tests for me to do? If not, I would like to leave.”

Anse raised an eyebrow. Looking at Su Tang’s back as she got up to leave, he suddenly spoke:

“Are you attending the cocktail party tomorrow?”

Zhan Ye even told him this?

“No.”

“Not going?”

Anse smiled.

“Zhan Ye was right about one thing. If you go, he can really introduce you to many leisurely tasks that earn high points.”

After all, the majority of resources were in the hands of a few people. This statement was very applicable whether before the alien invasion or now, after the invasion.

Su Tang’s figure paused, but only for a moment, and then she continued walking forward.

“Using others’ favors for one’s own benefit is essentially a kind of debt. I have no intention of owing him a debt, nor do I want to gain benefits for nothing.”

Until her figure completely disappeared from sight, the woman’s voice seemed to still echo in his ears. Anse couldn’t help but rub his forehead. The fragmented sunlight fell on the tips of his black hair, as if covering it with patches of glitter. Anse bent his finger and took off the glasses on his face.

Mmh.

He finally understood why that guy Zhan Ye, when asking him to test Su Tang again yesterday, had specifically instructed him not to tell Su Tang it was his request.

After all, a small test didn’t require him, the director, to personally take action.

“Pity, little one. Although you don’t want to owe debts, living in this world, especially in this dangerous environment, how is it possible to remain completely pure white without owing favors to others?”

Under the effect of the circulation system, the intense smell of disinfectant was completely sucked away. Consequently, the bloody scent hidden underneath spread entirely to the tip of his nose.

Tsk.

Those two mad dogs.

They have the ability to beat each other up within the White Tower’s range, but why don’t they have the ability to let themselves fend for themselves and wait for death outside? Instead, both came to find him one after another.

I owe them.

Su Tang walked out of the Medical Department. Passing through the Third Squad’s training ground, she saw from afar several Sentinels waving hello to her. She had an impression of these Sentinels in her mind; they should be people from Zhan Ye’s team whom she met on the drill field yesterday.

“Hello Guide Su, is your body feeling better?”

Compared to their unruly appearance on the drill field yesterday, they now had a somewhat feigned gentlemanly air, though this feeling really seemed incongruous on them.

“Much better. Are you guys training?”

Su Tang’s gaze involuntarily looked toward the training ground. In her impression, Mo Xiao was never absent from every training session of the First Squad. Was it the same for the Third Squad?

Looking around, she didn’t find that familiar figure. Just as she withdrew her gaze, the Sentinel standing in front of her started talking again.

“Is Guide Su looking for our captain?”

“Yes, I saw that Captain Mo follows the First Squad’s training every time. Isn’t it like that for the Third Squad?”

“White Tower regulations state that the captain must be present during squad member training.”

The Sentinel explained to her.

“Then Zhan Ye?”

“It’s like this, Guide Su. The captain went out yesterday in a drunken fit for some reason, and when he came back, he was wrapped in many bandages. For the sake of his and the Third Squad’s image, the vice-captain locked the captain in his bedroom to rest early this morning, so the captain didn’t accompany the training today.”
