Chapter 101. Shen Ji Summons Yasuo Again
For some reason, Yasuo felt the area around his waist and abdomen tightening. He inconspicuously moved his right foot forward, standing with one leg in front of the other to hide the anomaly between his thighs.
“It’s fine. I’ll reduce the link between me and Xiao Yu to the minimum,” Yasuo paused, glanced at Su Tang, and continued. “When he was with you before, I always kept the link at its lowest. I only restored it to normal mode after bringing him back.”
So the reason Su Tang said their synesthesia seemed to have increased was because he had previously tuned it down to the lowest level.
He wasn’t a pervert; he wouldn’t secretly turn the sensitivity to the maximum when sending Xiao Yu to Su Tang just for his own pleasure.

Su Tang politely bid Yasuo farewell and carried the little black cat back to her bedroom, having an intimate encounter with her long-lost large bed.

Before he could reach Team 5’s training grounds, while passing through Team 2’s area, two tall Sentinels blocked his path.
“What’s this? Blocking me here? Do you want to stand up for those few Team 2 Sentinels who are still locked in the interrogation room?”
Yasuo crossed his arms, the warm smile on his lips vanishing, replaced by a sharp edge that couldn’t be ignored.
“Captain Yasuo, you misunderstand. Sentinels who ignore the White Tower’s rules are not fit to be called Team 2 Sentinels. Captain Shen Ji removed the two of them from the team a while ago.”
Yasuo raised an eyebrow.
Shen Ji was fast. No wonder those Sentinels hadn’t been released from the interrogation room yet; turns out they had no one to bail them out.
“Since it’s not about that, why are you blocking me? Is your Captain Shen Ji busy lately? Does he want me to take over and test your recent training results on his behalf?”
He happened to feel completely invigorated right now. After the years of accumulated pollution and grime had been cleared by Su Tang, the sense of physical comfort was so great he wanted to rush outside and fight three hundred rounds with the pollutants. Unfortunately, he was being held back by the White Tower. Were these two pups going to serve as his sandbags?

Recalling the last time Shen Ji had called him over to discuss Su Tang, Yasuo couldn’t help but frown.
“Lead the way.”
Following those two Sentinels through many twists and turns, they arrived at the highest level of Team 2’s activity area. After winding through many corridors, they stopped before a room.

Yasuo’s gaze swept over the monitoring equipment on the wall, and his heart couldn’t help but sneer at the sight of the corridor filled with Sentinels equipped with high-precision weaponry.
How afraid was the White Tower of this S-Class Sentinel Captain losing control and going mad? With all these weapons in the corridor, weren’t they afraid of hurting their own people if they opened fire?
“Captain Yasuo, the Captain is inside. Please go in.”
Those two Sentinels stood about three steps away from the door, not daring to take another step inward.
Yasuo didn’t reply; he simply kicked the door open. As soon as he walked in, a Sentinel immediately slammed the door shut, as if terrified that something inside might escape.
“You’re here? It really wasn’t easy to get you to come over.”
Unlike Yasuo’s standard White Tower Sentinel uniform, Shen Ji was wearing a deep purple silk shirt and black suit trousers, looking quite comfortable.
“To be constantly remembered by a Super S-Class Sentinel Captain, I am truly honored.”
Yasuo wasn’t polite with him either; he hooked a nearby chair with his toe, pulled it in front of him, and sat down leisurely.
Just as he sat, the sound of a reptile rubbing against the floor reached his ears. Yasuo lowered his gaze slightly to see that Jiaoshe (Dragon-Snake) slowly crawling toward his feet. The green scales on its body weren’t like the ones he saw last time, glowing with a faint light.
In every crevice of its texture, dense wisps of black gas were leaking out, looking exceptionally terrifying.
Had it already materialized this clearly on the spiritual entity?
“Where’s Xiao Yu?”
Shen Ji sat up straight, the collar around his neck making a creaking sound as he moved.
“Out playing, probably.”
Hearing Yasuo’s answer, Shen Ji raised an eyebrow dismissively.
“Sent to Su Tang, and you didn’t want me to know that much?”
Yasuo’s gaze gradually turned cold. He had just sent Xiao Yu over, and Shen Ji already had the news. No matter how powerful this man’s intelligence network was, it was impossible to learn of every occurrence within the White Tower so quickly.
