Popular Guide: S-Class Sentinels All Want to Monopolize Me Chapter 22

22. I’m Yours

The Silver Wolf bared its teeth at the Golden Eagle, its bushy tail standing straight up. Its front paw instinctively wanted to scratch, but the moment the paw pad touched the soft fabric, it stopped immediately. This was the Guide’s home, and it wasn’t an out-of-control, mindless dog. If it ruined the Guide’s furniture, the pretty little Guide wouldn’t like it.

The Golden Eagle stood on the floor, the entire bird looking aggrieved. Su Tang suddenly found the positioning of these two little guys very interesting. The bird, which usually was arrogant and loved high places, was aggrievedly huddled on the ground, while the Silver Wolf, the king of the land, haughtily occupied the back of the sofa, looking down on the bird from above.

Su Tang couldn’t help but laugh out loud.

“Are you two bonding?”

The Golden Eagle was closer to her. Su Tang walked over. From the moment she entered, she noticed that the Golden Eagle was surrounded by a very heavy black mist, especially on its wings, where the golden feathers were barely visible.

Su Tang touched the little guy’s head. The Golden Eagle tilted its head, exposing its softest belly feathers to please the woman.

Su Tang’s gaze softened.

“Poor little thing, dragged down by this stuff so you can’t fly?”

Su Tang mobilized the spiritual power in her body, first dispersing the black mist attached to the Golden Eagle’s wings. The golden feathers were revealed. The little guy seemed to regain its vitality, happily flapping its wings, and then its small head rubbed against Su Tang’s fingers again and again to express its gratitude.

“Alright, alright, be good. As long as you’re comfortable.”

She scooped the Golden Eagle into her arms, stood up holding it, and walked to the sofa to sit down.

The Silver Wolf whimpered aggrievedly. Then, Su Tang felt a ball of fluff press against her thigh. That ball of fluff didn’t know where it learned its tricks, but it actually knew how to press against a person to act spoiled, its throat emitting ingratiating hums one after another.

“You really are attracting hate for your master.”

How did an existence as unsmiling as Mo Xiao differentiate such a whining, coquettish monster?

The Silver Wolf’s movement of rubbing against the woman’s thigh stiffened. The sound of its master’s reprimand came into its mind. It understood; its master wanted it to restrain itself a bit and not embarrass him. But it didn’t plan to pay attention to that stupid master. A wolf’s happiness had to be grasped in its own hands. If it only relied on that stupid master, when would it ever get to eat meat?

Clearly, its master also enjoyed the soft touch when it rubbed against the little Guide. Just because the little Guide teased him a couple of times, he pushed all those shameful thoughts onto a spiritual entity. Its master really was as useless as ever.

The Golden Eagle was originally wholeheartedly enjoying all the little Guide’s petting. But when the Silver Wolf, this manipulative, scheming dog came, the little Guide’s attention shifted entirely to it, triggering a burst of dissatisfaction in the Golden Eagle.

It came here today with a mission. If its master knew it was this useless and couldn’t even compete with a wolf, it probably wouldn’t have any good fruit to eat upon return.

The Golden Eagle lowered its head, looking at its feathers that were glowing once more. It gently pecked at the little Guide’s fingers hanging beside it.

Helpless, Su Tang turned back to the Golden Eagle.

She saw it tilt its head, its neck twisting backward at an incredible angle. Its beak opened, and it gently held a long feather shimmering with faint light in its mouth.

Then, the Golden Eagle tilted its head and rubbed against her fingers. The feather in its mouth was stuffed into her palm. After stuffing it, it chirped softly at her, its movements carrying a bit of fawning, as if telling her that this feather was a gift for her.

“Such a good baby.”

With one hand on each side, Su Tang petted both spiritual entities until they were satisfied, then picked up the Silver Wolf and placed it on the single sofa to the side.

“Since your master isn’t in a hurry to take you back, you stay here. We’ll set off together tomorrow.”

The Silver Wolf, entirely numb from the petting, barked strictly twice as a response to the woman’s words.

Then it closed its eyes and went to sleep.

Su Tang scooped up the Golden Eagle on the side and took it into her bedroom.

“Wait for me here a moment, I’ll be out right away.”

They were leaving tomorrow. Yesterday, when she channeled for Zhan Ye, she found his pollution level was very high. Before leaving, she thought she would clear the pollution value on the Golden Eagle first so the little guy wouldn’t be so uncomfortable.

She had an external mission tomorrow, so she couldn’t expend excessive spiritual power to give Zhan Ye deep purification again.

Contact between a Guide and a Sentinel’s spiritual entity was the most primitive method of purification. Although the degree of purification wasn’t high, something was better than nothing.

So, Su Tang didn’t plan to let the Golden Eagle go back tonight.

She thought Zhan Ye probably had this calculation in mind too; otherwise, he wouldn’t have let the Golden Eagle run to her place at night.

But she still underestimated the degree of a certain Sentinel’s shamelessness.

She quickly cleaned herself up and changed into pajamas. When Su Tang came out of the bathroom again, she saw an uninvited guest in her bedroom.

In the bedroom, a certain blond Sentinel stood in the center, playing with the little Golden Eagle that had just regained its vitality with one hand. Seeing her come out, his eyes sized her up very restlessly from top to bottom. Then, a slightly frivolous whistle came from his mouth.

Su Tang: “…”

“Who allowed you to enter my room?”

“Little Beauty, don’t be angry. I sensed you seemed to have the idea of keeping the Golden Eagle overnight, so I came over right away.”

What kind of lousy excuse was this? She wanted to keep the Golden Eagle overnight, not him. Did she need him to come over?

“Little Beauty, don’t look at me with that kind of gaze. I don’t want to either, but you know, Sentinels like us who have been marked for the first time really can’t withstand the temptation from our exclusive Guide.”

“What are you talking about? Who is your exclusive Guide? Who marked you?”

Seeing Su Tang’s questioning look, Zhan Ye reached out, pulled open the tight combat uniform on his body, and tilted his neck towards Su Tang.

When she saw the tiny, golden glowing dot next to the man’s Adam’s apple, Su Tang couldn’t help narrowing her eyes.

What was that thing?

“Don’t tell me you don’t even recognize your own mark?”

What?

Her mark?

How could these words sound so terrifying when strung together?

Seeing Su Tang’s face look like she planned to deny the debt, Zhan Ye laughed out of anger.

“Hey, hey, surely not. I’m not that bad that you don’t even dare to admit your own mark, am I?”

“Wait a minute, let me process this. You say that thing is my mark; how do you prove it?”

“Does this even need proof? Yesterday your spiritual power entered my spiritual consciousness sea. Although it only wandered around the periphery, it still left traces of your spiritual power in my sea of consciousness, and the sign of being marked by you appeared on my body. So, Little Beauty, in some aspect, I am already your man now.”
