Chapter 21: You’re Dawdling on Purpose Because You Don’t Want to Go to Bed?
Shen Yanzhou applied the medicine to his wound with very gentle movements.
At the same time, he stared at his small face.
Scrutinizing his expression.
After a moment of silence.
“Of course you can go out, but you have to wait two days.”
He wouldn’t imprison him in the villa forever.
He wanted him, but he didn’t want to tame him into an obedient pet.
However, because he wasn’t sure if he would run away again, the freedom he gave him had to be under his control.
Hearing this affirmative answer, Lin Yuan’s eyes suddenly lit up like a child receiving a promise.
“Not going to thank me?” Shen Yanzhou asked.
Lin Yuan raised his head, looked at him, his eyes filled with joy: “Thank you, Ge!”
Shen Yanzhou hooked his finger under his small chin, his gaze flickering uncertainly: “However, you absolutely must not do anything foolish. Do you understand what I mean?”
“From head to toe, inside and out, you can only belong to me alone.”
Lin Yuan nodded repeatedly subconsciously: “I won’t run anymore, Ge.”
Shen Yanzhou’s lips hooked into a smile: “Good boy.”
He took a card out of his pocket and handed it over.
“There’s five million in here, take it. When you can’t go out, you can shop online. Later, when I allow you to go out, you can buy whatever you like on the street yourself.”
Lin Yuan accepted the pure black bank card with gold edges.
He didn’t care for his money, but he knew that if he didn’t take it, he would definitely be unhappy again.
“The password is your birthday,” Shen Yanzhou said.
Lin Yuan nodded and whispered his thanks again.
“Alright, put on your clothes and go downstairs for dinner.”
Deep into the night.
Lin Yuan sat on the large sofa in the screening room, hugging a soft throw pillow tightly to his chest, staring at the big screen on the wall.
Actually, his eyelids were already fighting to stay open from sleepiness, but he delayed returning to the bedroom to sleep.
He didn’t know what he would experience tonight.
Although Shen Yanzhou promised to let him recuperate, this man could go crazy anytime, anywhere.
His moods were unpredictable; there was no guarantee what he might do.
Lin Yuan appeared to be watching a movie, but inside, he was already in a panic.
Shen Yanzhou sat beside him.
Having just showered, he wore a black silk robe of excellent quality.
His slightly curly hair was casually swept back, making his handsome face appear even sharper and more aggressive.
He didn’t speak or move, yet he still exuded an extremely strong sense of aggression.
He turned his face sideways and glanced at Lin Yuan.
Taking in his current emotions completely.
“Not sleepy?”
Asked by him, Lin Yuan couldn’t hold back and yawned.
He covered his mouth and shook his head.
Shen Yanzhou laughed secretly in his heart.
But on the surface, he pulled a straight face: “Really?”
Lin Yuan realized his lie couldn’t fool him and hurriedly tried to salvage it: “Uh, actually, a little sleepy!”
Shen Yanzhou turned off the big screen: “Let’s go, time to sleep.”
Lin Yuan felt as if he had heard the Grim Reaper’s summons, his body stiffening bit by bit.
Seeing him not move, Shen Yanzhou picked him up in a bridal carry.
Striding out of the screening room, passing through the corridor, returning to the villa’s main hall, and heading towards the bedroom upstairs.
Lin Yuan’s heart thumped wildly.
He lowered his eyes, trying to hide the panic in his gaze.
“Ge, are you… sleepy?” He nestled in his arms and asked in a small voice.
Shen Yanzhou’s lips hooked slightly: “Mn.”
He almost heard the person in his arms breathe a soft sigh of relief.
Shen Yanzhou didn’t speak, kicked open the bedroom door, and carried Lin Yuan straight to the large bed.
“Ge!” Lin Yuan called out, “I want to take a bath!”
Shen Yanzhou stopped, looked down, and scanned his face.
He put the person down.
“Mn, go ahead.”
Lin Yuan trotted all the way and rushed into the bathroom.
“The bath towel and bathrobe are prepared for you, new ones,” Shen Yanzhou said, then walked towards the bed.
There was an extra pillow on the bed, and the quilt had been changed from a single to a double.
Shen Yanzhou sat at the head of the bed and looked at his watch.
Then he picked up a book from the bedside shelf and flipped through it casually.
When the bathroom door opened again, he looked at his watch once more.
An hour and a half had passed.
He chuckled.
The footsteps outside were cautious.
Approaching gently.
Lin Yuan prayed silently in his heart, hoping Shen Yanzhou was tired and had already fallen asleep without waiting.
However, when he saw the man on the bed staring at him with a half-smile, his eyes bright, all hope was shattered.
“Lin Yuan, washing for so long, aren’t you afraid of rubbing your skin raw?” Shen Yanzhou teased him.
Lin Yuan’s small face fell.
Head slightly lowered, he stood in place, not coming over.
Shen Yanzhou looked him over.
Because he had been steamed by the heat in the bathroom for too long, his small face was rosy white.
His damp black curly hair seemed plated with a layer of fine, soft light under the warm glow of the crystal chandelier overhead.
The white silk bathrobe made him look soft and well-behaved.
Shen Yanzhou held an unlit cigarette in the corner of his mouth, his peach-blossom eyes hazy as if drunk.
“Come here,” he ordered softly.
Only then did Lin Yuan inch over, step by step.
“In the future, you’re not allowed to wash for this long. Do you know you could faint from lack of oxygen?”
Lin Yuan’s lips tightened.
Feeling annoyed inside, he still nodded.
Shen Yanzhou reached out and gathered his waist.
Pulling the person onto his lap: “Or perhaps, you were dawdling on purpose because you didn’t want to go to bed?”
He leaned into his neck, sniffing his scent.
Lin Yuan hurriedly shook his head: “No! It’s not…”
Although the lie was clumsy, Shen Yanzhou didn’t pester him about it.
His gaze moved to his bathrobe.
The belt at his waist was tied tightly.
The originally V-shaped neckline was now wrapped tightly by him, almost up to his chin.
“Heh, not very old, but plenty of little schemes,” Shen Yanzhou said, gently rubbing the tip of his nose.
Whispering in his ear: “Afraid I’ll bully you? Hm?”
Lin Yuan didn’t know how to answer, biting his lip in silence.
Shen Yanzhou chuckled: “If I wanted to, even if you wrapped yourself like a Zongzi (sticky rice dumpling), I would still peel you open layer by layer.”
As he spoke, his fingers gently tugged at the neckline he had wrapped.
Lin Yuan’s handsome brows furrowed.
Due to nervousness, his breathing was a bit rapid.
Shen Yanzhou knew when to stop: “Alright, I said I wouldn’t touch you for these two days. Lie down, sleep.”
Lin Yuan crawled off his lap and lay down beside him.
Face up, pulling the thin quilt over his neck, his small hands gripping it tightly.
Body stiff as a frozen fish.
His look of being half-dead amused Shen Yanzhou.
He lifted the quilt and slid in as well.
Turning sideways towards him, he reached out and wrapped his arm around his body.
Shen Yanzhou’s robust muscles under his thin pajamas transmitted his body heat through the fabric.
Making Lin Yuan’s heart tremble slightly.
“Ge… goodnight!” He feigned calm and said.
The subtext was: after saying goodnight, let’s each sleep peacefully.
Shen Yanzhou’s voice carried a hint of laziness: “Mn, goodnight.”
His large hand gathered him closer, a bit tighter.
Fortunately, he kept his word.
He just held him tightly without any other movements.
After Lin Yuan’s heart tightened for a while, he slowly relaxed, and his body softened.
Unknowingly, he fell asleep.
In the morning, Shen Yanzhou arrived at the company and had just walked into his office when his special assistant, Yue Ping, hurried in.
“President Shen, Uncle Zhang, the housekeeper at Mingyue Garden, just called. He said Young Master Yu is currently on the rooftop of the top floor, threatening to jump!”
Shen Yanzhou frowned: “What kind of madness is he up to now?”
He turned and took the elevator downstairs with Yue Ping.
The two got into the car, and while speeding towards Mingyue Garden, Yue Ping briefly reported the situation Uncle Zhang described to Shen Yanzhou.
“Uncle Zhang said Young Master Yu got up at the crack of dawn this morning, wouldn’t eat, and just kept fiddling with his phone. His mood was very bad.”
“Later, when they looked for him again, he was already on the fourth-floor rooftop.”
Shen Yanzhou pinched his temples hard.
Yu Yi’an was the orphan left behind by the triad boss.
Four years ago, the boss died of illness and entrusted his only relative, fourteen-year-old Yu Yi’an, to him.
These years, Shen Yanzhou had been taking meticulous care of him.
However, this young master was very difficult to serve. Despite looking refined, noble, and polite on the surface, he was actually quite crazy.
His moods were unpredictable, and his actions often unexpected.
And for some reason, in the last year or two, he had become increasingly clingy to Shen Yanzhou.
