Chapter 28: Why Does He Always Want to Leave Me?
Before Shen Yanzhou went downstairs for dinner, he used handcuffs to cuff one of Lin Yuan’s hands to the crossbeam of the rosewood bookshelf.
He put the key into his pocket.
“Didn’t you say you weren’t hungry? Then don’t eat.” His voice was cold and stern. “Stay here and reflect.”
After speaking, he turned and strode away.
Lin Yuan twisted his wrist and struggled, but it was useless.
His eyes were red. Looking at the tightly closed door, a tear rolled down.
He wiped his eyes with his free hand.
“Shen Yanzhou, not human! Dead bastard!” he cursed in a low voice.
The corners of his mouth turned down in grievance.
Shen Yanzhou walked into the dining room, tore off his tie irritably, and threw it aside.
Seeing him like this, Uncle Chen’s little heart lifted again.
Lin Yuan didn’t come down; was it because he still refused to eat and made him unhappy?
While instructing the cook to serve the food, Uncle Chen probed carefully.
“If Mr. Lin has no appetite, maybe I can ask the cook to make some appetizing side dishes…”
Before he could finish, Shen Yanzhou slapped his chopsticks onto the dining table.
“He’s not hungry! No need to eat!”
Uncle Chen: …
It looked worse than he imagined.
Probably something else happened.
They had only met for a little while!
These two were really enemies!
Uncle Chen hesitated for a moment, then spoke softly, “Young Master, Mr. Lin is young and just came from the mountains, he might not understand many things.”
“Don’t be too serious with him, give him some time!”
The muscle at Shen Yanzhou’s temple jumped. “He doesn’t understand? Just gave him a laptop, and he already knows how to go on a family search website!”
One sentence, and Uncle Chen understood.
So it was this matter that enraged him.
Uncle Chen thought for a moment. “Young Master, actually…”
Shen Yanzhou raised a hand to interrupt him.
“Don’t speak, I don’t want to hear it. Eat!”
Uncle Chen pursed his lips, swallowed his words, and sighed secretly.
During the meal, Shen Yanzhou was very absent-minded.
Uncle Chen stood far away in the dining room, watching him stuff the carrots and mint leaves from the garnish plate into his mouth.
He didn’t dare leave, deeply afraid his young master would eat the paper cup of the vanilla crème brûlée and the greaseproof paper of the roast duck pancake too.
He shook his head.
Young Master was a dragon among men, versed in both civil and martial arts, killing in both the black and white worlds. There seemed to be nothing in this world he couldn’t do.
But solely, he didn’t know how to love someone!
Shen Yanzhou ate indiscriminately for a while, his mind in a mess.
He wiped his mouth with a napkin, got up, and walked out of the dining room door.
Walking into the courtyard, he got into the driver’s seat of the car and lit a cigarette.
Taking out his phone, he dialed Lu Huaiyuan.
“Busy tonight? Come out and drink with me.”
As a friend of many years, Lu Huaiyuan could hear from the tone that this master was in a bad mood.
It just so happened he had nothing to do tonight, so he set a location.
Half an hour later, the two met in a bar.
Shen Yanzhou arrived first, nesting in a corner booth smoking.
Through the pervading smoke, Lu Huaiyuan found the person.
Walked over and sat on the sofa opposite him.
“Yanzhou, what’s wrong, bad mood?” he asked.
Shen Yanzhou took a hard drag on the cigarette, cycled it through his lungs, the strong stimulation making his spirit slightly more excited.
“Mood is exceptionally good!” he spat out in a cold voice.
Lu Huaiyuan shook his head with a bitter smile. “What exactly happened?”
Actually, he already had a guess in his heart.
To make this man at the top of the food chain so upset, probably only that little young master could do it.
Shen Yanzhou held a pure black Sobranie Black Russian between his lips, his beautiful peach-blossom eyes half-narrowed, his gaze drifting.
“Huaiyuan, say, am I… quite unlikable?”
Lu Huaiyuan pursed his lips.
This question didn’t need answering.
A man like Shen Yanzhou could no longer be described as “likable.”
Because he could effortlessly make everyone around him go crazy for him.
Asking this now, presumably, the little young master had thrown a tantrum again and made him unhappy.
Even giving him a sense of defeat!
“Yanzhou, what’s wrong with him?” Lu Huaiyuan hit the nail on the head and asked.
Shen Yanzhou bit the cigarette, took a glass, and poured two drinks.
Handed one over.
“He always wants to find his parents. Today, during the day, he even posted an application on a family search website!”
Lu Huaiyuan adjusted his glasses frame. “Just this?”
Shen Yanzhou glanced at him sideways. “He wants to find his family, isn’t it just to get rid of me sooner? Why does he always want to leave me?”
As he spoke, he stubbed out the cigarette, threw back his head, and drank the wine in the glass in one gulp.
Lu Huaiyuan shook his head slightly. “Hey, have you heard the story of the competition between the Sun and the Wind?”
Shen Yanzhou didn’t make a sound, pouring himself another glass of wine.
“They competed to see who could make a passerby take off his coat first. The Wind blew hard, but the man wrapped his coat tighter.”
“The Sun, however, shone gently with its warm light. The man felt warm and took off his coat very quickly.”
“Yanzhou, do you understand what I mean?”
Shen Yanzhou slammed the wine glass onto the table. “Am I not good enough to him?”
“But you keep forcing him, imprisoning him; can he feel your kindness?”
Shen Yanzhou’s lip line was straight. “He doesn’t listen, I have no choice.”
Lu Huaiyuan shook his head. “Yanzhou, you know that saying, a lover is like sand; the tighter you grip, the faster it flows!”
Shen Yanzhou fell silent.
Lu Huaiyuan thought for a moment and said again, “Actually, it’s not a bad thing for Lin Yuan to find his family.”
“Even if you take a wife, there has to be a maiden family, right?”
“Moreover, if you can help him find his family, he will definitely be grateful. His opinion of you will definitely change!”
Shen Yanzhou listened to these words.
Right now, the little cub’s biggest wish was to find his relatives.
If he helped him, he would definitely be much more obedient.
Besides, even if he found his family and had support, wanting to escape him was impossible.
Thinking of this, Shen Yanzhou’s expression softened a bit.
“What wife.” He sipped his wine, looking a bit sheepish. “Just a small toy, that’s all!”
He raised his glass to Lu Huaiyuan.
Lu Huaiyuan laughed. “You, just too stubborn!”
Shen Yanzhou suddenly remembered something and asked, “Say, how can kissing technique be improved?”
Lu Huaiyuan choked on a mouthful of wine.
Coughed.
This question was really direct!
Lu Huaiyuan wiped his mouth with a napkin. “Yanzhou, I can’t answer you on this question!”
Shen Yanzhou squinted at him slightly. “You and Anton, haven’t kissed before?”
Lu Huaiyuan’s refined and handsome face turned red instantly.
He waved his hands repeatedly. “No. We are both conservative types. And we just confirmed the relationship, haven’t reached that step yet.”
Shen Yanzhou: “Then you let him go abroad alone for further studies, are you really at ease?”
Lu Huaiyuan adjusted his glasses frame, the corners of his lips pulling slightly. “Why must a true lover be tied to one’s side?”
Shen Yanzhou didn’t answer, feeling he was hinting at him.
When they came out of the bar, it was already past one in the morning.
The two called designated drivers respectively and drove back.
Shen Yanzhou had a good capacity for liquor. He finished eighty percent of two bottles of Hennessy by himself and was only tipsy.
He went upstairs, lightened his steps, walked to the study door, and pushed it open.
Before he left, he had turned on the floor lamp in the room.
At this moment, the study was filled with soft light.
Not far away, Lin Yuan was kneeling on the floor, his body leaning softly against the bookshelf, one hand suspended high.
Because the place where his hand was cuffed was relatively high from the ground, he could only reach it by kneeling on his calves.
His small head drooped on his shoulder, eyes closed.
He seemed to be asleep.
His long eyelashes trembled gently with his breathing.
There were tear stains on his small face, not yet dry. Under the light, they shone brightly.
Seeing him like this, Shen Yanzhou’s heart ached.
He walked over gently and took the key out of his pocket.
Holding his wrist lightly with one hand, the other carefully unlocked the handcuffs.
He put his arm down gently.
Lin Yuan’s eyelids trembled.
His small mouth moved slightly.
Shen Yanzhou hurriedly patted his back gently.
Only then did he not wake him up.
With extremely gentle movements, he picked the person up from the floor.
Walked out of the study.
Returning to the bedroom, he placed him gently on the soft large bed.
Just as he put him down, Lin Yuan suddenly woke up.
He opened his eyes groggily, not yet sober, his eyes covered in mist.
But when he saw the man standing by the bed, he immediately frowned.
“What are you doing?” he shouted, sitting up from the bed reflexively.
Shen Yanzhou’s eyes darkened.
“What are you nervous about?” His brow twisted.
Lin Yuan also frowned. The expression on his small face was mixed with anger amidst uneasiness.
But he didn’t dare contradict him.
Especially since he smelled the faint scent of alcohol wafting from the man, knowing he had been drinking.
A madman after drinking would definitely be even more violent in his emotions.
“No, nothing…” Lin Yuan lowered his head, pressed his lips together, and said.
Shen Yanzhou sat on the bed facing him.
“I was gone for these few hours, have you thought it through? Where did you go wrong?” His voice betrayed no emotion.
