Chapter 21: Did You Add Aphrodisiac to Your Mental Power?
Chi Wan burrowed in, but realizing something, she quickly popped back out.
As a Guide, soothing Sentinels was her duty. She couldn’t evade it because of something like this.
Seeing her small face, though the blush hadn’t faded, looking as determined as if she were joining the party, the smile in Qi Ye’s eyes deepened.
Chi Wan sat up straight, ready to manipulate her Mental Power.
However, after stimulating just a thread, she realized something was wrong with the state of the Mental Power in her body. Her small face looked confused as she stared at her hands.
“What’s wrong?”
Just as Qi Ye asked, threads of Mental Power gathered above Chi Wan’s head.
They gradually converged, condensing into a Mental Entity.
[It’s a Mental Entity! Host, you finally have a Mental Entity!]
Infected by the System’s joy, Chi Wan immediately looked up at the gathering Mental Power, anticipating what kind of powerful beast her Mental Entity would be.
Within the semi-transparent Mental Power, a kitten-shaped Mental Entity gradually took form.
The kitten was only as big as two palms. Its silver fur shimmered with blue-violet iridescence, matching the color of Chi Wan’s hair. A pair of blue cat eyes were crystal clear, beautiful as gems.
Chi Wan’s face fell instantly.
In her original destiny and body, her Mental Entity was a Phoenix. Now it was just a kitten.
The drop-off was too huge!
Seeing her disappointed look, Qi Ye tapped the tip of her nose lightly.
“Cats are very cute, and very agile.”
“A Mental Entity isn’t necessarily better just because it’s fierce. A kitten Mental Entity is the first case in interstellar history.”
As he spoke, he raised his palm lightly. The translucent kitten Mental Entity seemed to sense it, leaping onto his palm. Its furry head rubbed against his palm, and then it nimbly jumped away.
Very cute. Just like her.
Of course, Chi Wan wouldn’t truly despise her own Mental Entity. She put on a serious face, her work attitude earnest.
“Then, I will start the soothing!”
Of course, it was False Soothing.
Qi Ye didn’t force her to perform True Soothing on him.
He was just genuinely curious about how a kitten Mental Entity soothed a Sentinel.
Generally, Guide Mental Entities were different from Sentinels’. They were usually not fierce, powerful animals, but rather gentle, docile ones, or even plant-based.
Their methods of soothing Sentinels varied, but most didn’t stray far from touching or releasing soothing pheromones.
So a kitten’s soothing method… was it also touching?
As Qi Ye pondered, he saw the kitten leaping closer to the Silver Python manifested above his head.
The Silver Python’s body at this moment wasn’t as massive as in combat, but it was still as thick as a person and over ten meters long. The huge snake body stood there nobly. Its snake eyes looked at the kitten with calm observation, just like its owner.
In contrast, the disproportionately small kitten Mental Entity jumped onto the snake’s body like a newborn calf unafraid of a tiger.
And then… began to… lick it…
???
Chi Wan froze.
Her Mental Entity’s way of soothing a Sentinel was truly… unique…
The Silver Python, suddenly being lickedâand by such a cute, miniature kittenâshowed astonishment in its snake eyes.
But immediately after, under the powerful soothing force of the kitten’s licking, it began to wag its tail comfortably.
The kitten licked diligently. After just a few licks, the Silver Python narrowed its eyes in comfort, its body involuntarily wrapping tightly around the kitten.
Seemingly tight, but actually very gentle.
Seeing the soothing progressing well, Chi Wan breathed a sigh of relief.
Good, good. As long as it completes the soothing, it’s a good Mental Entity.
But immediately after, she discovered that the look in Qi Ye’s eyes as he watched her was frighteningly deep and thick.
Mental Entity and owner shared the same lineage, connected senses, and shared will.
It could be said that the Mental Entity was another manifestation of the owner.
She was soothing him. Logically, he should feel comfortable, but why…
Her hand gripping the sheet tightened in nervousness, and her body wanted to retreat.
And her Mental Entity got distracted at this moment. The kitten stopped licking, arching its back slightly with fur standing on end, its ears flattening to the sides.
“Scared of me?”
Qi Ye grabbed her wrist, stopping her attempt to flee.
Overhead, the Silver Python also wrapped around the kitten tighter and tighter.
Its scarlet forked tongue flicked out. The look it gave the kitten was craving and fervent, as if it could swallow it whole.
The snake tail pressed closer to the cat’s body inch by inch.
Entwining, confining.
The cat’s body was almost completely wrapped by the Silver Python. The frightened cat gave up resistance, letting the Silver Python ravage it.
Chi Wan felt as if she were the one being entangled. Helplessly withdrawing her gaze from the Mental Entities, she met Qi Ye’s thick green eyes.
At this moment, darker, stickier thoughts seemed to crawl in the depths of those eyes. The pad of his thumb rubbed against her vein, making no secret of his desire.
Scanning her crimson lips inch by inch, his voice was cold and restrained:
“Relax. I won’t force you into anything.”
Chi Wan’s heart skipped a beat.
Right, this is just normal soothing. What am I afraid of?
The soothing continued as usual.
But what Chi Wan didn’t know was that every lick from her Mental Entity kitten made Qi Ye more unable to extricate himself from her Mental Power.
Sinking, drowning, fascinated.
Her Mental Power was like a panacea that could soothe everything, satisfying him to the extreme.
His breathing gradually grew hot, even slightly rapid.
Although his eyes remained restrained and his expression calm, Chi Wan felt a bit panicked.
She licked her somewhat dry lips, then heard him ask in a voice raspy to the extreme:
“Did you add aphrodisiac to your Mental Power?”
