Shocking The Madman Stole Someone Else’s Canary to be His Wife Chapter 42

Chapter 42: They Won’t Fit You

“Two million.” Wen Yan repeated the number aloud, his tears falling even faster.

The amount was neither more nor less—exactly two million.

Gu Yulan intended to humiliate him, to torture him.

He lowered his eyes and began to unbutton his shirt. Just as his fingertips undid the third button, his wrist bone was suddenly seized. Pei Zhouye’s palm carried its habitual chill, yet the grip hurt him.

“You don’t need to do this,” the man’s voice carried a hint of anger.

“What else then?” The teardrops hanging on Wen Yan’s eyelashes fell rustling onto the back of Pei Zhouye’s hand, his voice trembling. “Didn’t you and Gu Yulan do all this just to wait for me to undress?”

Wen Yan rarely bowed his head, but now he cried until his face was pale, his tone dropping low. “I beg you, Pei Zhouye. I will sleep with you, and I will find a way to pay you back the money. Please don’t implicate my parents, okay? They didn’t do anything wrong.”

It was all because of him that his parents were dragged into the trap set by Gu Yulan. And Pei Zhouye, knowing everything, had allowed it to happen just to force him into submission.

What else would happen in the future?

“No need.” Pei Zhouye frowned tightly, unconsciously pressing his tongue against his cheek, gritting his teeth as he spoke. “However you dated Gu Yulan, that’s how you’ll be with me. I can wait.”

“Date…” Wen Yan lowered his head and gave a light scoff. “You pushed me to this point step by step, wasn’t it just to see me bow my head? This time is just like before—knowing everything but deliberately concealing it, just to force me to date you, to force me to go to bed with you.”

He struggled to pull his hand back, but was gripped even tighter by Pei Zhouye.

“It’s not.” Pei Zhouye’s Adam’s apple rolled, a trace of panic in his tone. “I love you, Wen Yan. That isn’t a lie. I said I wouldn’t lie to you.”

Gu Yulan had used someone else’s identity for this investment project. At the time, Pei Zhouye was only focused on suppressing the Gu family and hadn’t paid attention when he uncovered this.

To be honest, this time Pei Zhouye hadn’t deliberately concealed it.

But he was indeed using this to force Wen Yan to stay by his side. As long as the result was right, the process didn’t matter.

Wen Yan sneered, tears sliding down his cheeks. “You can save that kind of lie. Sleeping with you is inevitable sooner or later, or do you have some other way you want me to repay your ‘kindness’?”

“Be with me,” Pei Zhouye repeated.

“When does it end? How long do I have to sell myself?” Wen Yan’s words were laced with sarcasm.

“Five hundred thousand a month. No need for you to pay back the money.” Seeing Wen Yan crying so hard, Pei Zhouye’s mood turned gloomy.

A mere two million was not even worth mentioning to him.

As long as he could tie Wen Yan to his side, it was fine.

As long as he was by his side and not with anyone else, it was fine.

“Okay.”

Wen Yan’s voice was exhausted to the extreme.

He didn’t have the courage to gamble anymore.

He couldn’t win against Pei Zhouye.

Wen Yan let Pei Zhouye lead him by the hand to the second floor.

The room on the second floor was the master bedroom, and there was only one quilt.

Pei Zhouye felt the stiffness of the person he was holding.

“Auntie Chun only prepared one bedroom,” Pei Zhouye said calmly, not saying anything more.

How could this not be deliberately arranged by Pei Zhouye? Looking at that single quilt, Wen Yan’s ears began to burn again.

He struggled for a moment, then turned his head decisively. “I’ll sleep on the sofa!”

Just as he turned, he was hugged from behind.

“Didn’t you say you’d have to sleep with me sooner or later?” Pei Zhouye’s voice carried a smile. “Is now not okay?”

Wen Yan’s face flushed red instantly, unsure if it was from anger or shame.

Behind him, Pei Zhouye raised an eyebrow, looking very satisfied at seeing Wen Yan’s face reddened with anger caused by him.

“Let go, I’m going to take a shower.”

Pei Zhouye obediently let go. If he didn’t behave, Wen Yan might really cry from anger.

Wen Yan wanted to go out, but Pei Zhouye blocked the door steadily.

He frowned. “I’m going to get clothes from my suitcase.”

“No.” Pei Zhouye leaned lazily against the door frame, blocking it completely. He lifted his chin. “There are some in the closet.”

Wen Yan stood motionless.

Pei Zhouye added, “They are all unworn.”

He admitted he had this wicked taste, and was also testing the sincerity and bottom line of Wen Yan “selling himself” time and again.

“Or perhaps, you want to wear ones I’ve worn?”

“Are you sick?!” Wen Yan was furious, cursing subconsciously.

He only hated that he didn’t know how to curse people properly; he was completely helpless against a rogue like Pei Zhouye.

Meeting Pei Zhouye’s smiling peach blossom eyes, Wen Yan realized the other party was teasing him. He turned around angrily and walked toward the closet, grabbed a few clothes still bearing tags, and ducked into the bathroom.

Pei Zhouye sat carelessly on the floor outside the bathroom door, listening to the splashing sound of the shower inside.

He didn’t have a fetish for watching himself shower, so naturally, no surveillance was installed in the master bedroom’s bathroom.

Pei Zhouye tutted, feeling a little regretful that he hadn’t had time to install it in advance.

But he could imagine it.

Skin dyed pink by the heat, long and straight legs…

The sound of water stopped. Wen Yan called Pei Zhouye’s name twice, but no one answered outside.

As soon as he opened the door, he was startled by the person sitting at the entrance.

“Are you a pervert?” Wen Yan felt it was unreasonable. Taking advantage of the moment Pei Zhouye hadn’t fully turned his head, he quickly slammed the door shut.

He flew into a rage out of humiliation: “Why didn’t you answer when I called you?”

Pei Zhouye’s voice was hoarse. “What’s wrong?”

He had seen those legs he imagined just now.

Separated by a door panel, Wen Yan still remembered those dark peach blossom eyes just now, a gaze that was almost frightening.

His heart beat like a drum.

“I forgot to bring something. Can you go out for a moment?” Wen Yan was so ashamed he could hardly make a sound.

“They won’t fit you.” Pei Zhouye’s voice came through the door.

Wen Yan knew what he was talking about and instantly felt looked down upon. He was both ashamed and annoyed: “What do you mean?”

“I’ll go downstairs to get your suitcase for you now. If you don’t believe me, you can come out and try later. Second drawer from the bottom in the left closet.”

The sound of the door closing rang out.

Wen Yan covered his face in the bathroom for a while, looking at his face in the mirror, red as a cooked shrimp.

Why shouldn’t he go look? Pei Zhouye wasn’t here anyway.

The thought of competing secretly couldn’t be suppressed once it appeared.

Wen Yan sneaked out the door and opened the drawer according to the location Pei Zhouye mentioned.

He glanced at the size, then slammed the underwear back in and closed the drawer instantly.

Footsteps outside were getting closer. Wen Yan hid back in the bathroom again.

His face was even hotter than before.

Thinking of the size just now, Wen Yan was a little afraid. Perhaps Pei Zhouye meant what he said and really wouldn’t touch him.

Pei Zhouye knocked on the bathroom door.

“Did you look? Do you want the suitcase or should I get you a new pair from the drawer?”

“I didn’t look!” Wen Yan shouted hurriedly, realizing his reaction was too big.

He forced himself to stay calm. “I want the ones from the suitcase. You go out, I need to get dressed.”

Pei Zhouye chuckled lightly, looking at the row of wet slipper prints leading from the bathroom to the closet.

“Okay, you didn’t look.”

Once again, the sound of the door closing.

Wen Yan quietly opened the door, saw the person outside, and abruptly tried to shut the door.
