Chapter 6: So Good
In certain aspects, Pei Zhouye absolutely loathed things that other people had used. For items like water cups, any place Pei Zhouye stayed frequently had to have his exclusive personal items.
Wen Yan was Gu Er’s person.
Forget about Pei Zhouye’s mysophobia; just based on his Pei-ge’s sense of morality, Shen Yao didn’t believe Pei Zhouye would do anything to Wen Yan.
Wen Yan was fast asleep, and coupled with his trust in Gu Yulan, he didn’t even open his eyes when he was stuffed into the back seat of the car. He certainly didn’t know who the person was that was currently holding him, letting him cling stickily to them.
The driver met the eyes of the person in the back seat and immediately drove with his eyes fixed straight ahead. The car drove to a place without surveillance cameras and stopped; he got out and walked far away to smoke.
The car door closed, leaving only the sound of two people breathing inside.
Pei Zhouye lowered his eyes to glance at Wen Yan, who was hugging his arm tightly. He clicked his tongue, grabbed Wen Yan’s waist, and yanked him onto his legs. Wen Yan lost his balance and fell entirely into his embrace, his head drooping against Pei Zhouye’s chest, strands of hair falling to cover half his face.
Still unsatisfied, Pei Zhouye pressed his palm against Wen Yan’s lower back, slowly pulling him closer. He clasped Wen Yan’s waist and pressed down, forcing him to straddle his legs, leaving him no room to struggle.
Pei Zhouye picked up Wen Yan’s right hand—the one that had been holding Gu Yulan’s hand throughout the banquet—wiped it clean along the gaps between the fingers, then hugged him tight again, peppering fine kisses along that delicate neck.
The sweet warmth of body wash mixed with the faint smell of alcohol, the scent burning straight down his windpipe into his heart.
His Adam’s apple bobbed, his breathing deepening unconsciously, nearing suffocation.
In his sleep, Wen Yan felt his neck was uncomfortable and itchy. He struggled, trying to push away the thing making him uncomfortable.
Pei Zhouye let the other person push him away, staring obsessively at Wen Yan’s rosy lips and trembling eyelashes.
“Have you kissed him?”
Wen Yan only felt the voice in his ear drifting in and out, but his eyelids were too heavy to lift. Relying on instinct, he mumbled, “Who?”
Pei Zhouye thought for a moment before recalling that person’s name: “Gu Yulan.”
“No.” Wen Yan, exhausted, tried to snuggle back down to sleep.
Pei Zhouye’s eyes held a smile, and the corners of his mouth hooked up. Still unsatisfied, he clamped down on Wen Yan’s waist to stop him from moving around and continued his interrogation: “With anyone else?”
Forced from deep sleep by the feeling of confinement, Wen Yan frowned and answered impatiently, “No one.”
Pei Zhouye chuckled low, a wicked sound.
“So good.”
In his daze, Wen Yan only felt a heat on his lips. That familiar yet strange aura completely enveloped him. He subconsciously pursed his lips tight, but the other person captured his lower lip and bit lightly, causing a numbing sting.
While he was distracted, Pei Zhouye’s fingertips caressed the tip of his nose, slowly applying pressure, forcing him to open his mouth.
Dizzy from lack of oxygen, Wen Yan was forced to part his lips to gasp for air. Pei Zhouye took the opportunity to deepen the kiss.
Wen Yan had that dream again.
The atmosphere in the dream was romantic and ambiguous. Someone was pressing him down, grinding against his lips, and he couldn’t struggle free.
The fog covering the other person’s face dispersed. Wen Yan opened his eyes to look, and that face with deep-set brows and superior bone structure fell into his sight… Pei Zhouye!
Wen Yan jerked awake, covered in cold sweat.
Sunlight was already streaming in; it was only nine in the morning.
Wen Yan wanted to get up, but suddenly realizing something, he lifted the quilt uncertainly, then fiercely covered himself again.
He was already twenty…
Fortunately, Wen Yan’s parents had gone for their check-up as usual. Wen Yan took advantage of this time to wash the sheets.
The washing machine hummed.
Wen Yan sat on the plastic stool next to the washing machine, contemplating life.
The person in the dream had originally only resembled Pei Zhouye’s figure, but now he had directly transformed into Pei Zhouye’s face.
But why would he have a wet dream about Pei Zhouye?
Thinking of this, Wen Yan buried his face in his knees in embarrassment.
It was too shameful.
When his parents returned, four dishes and a soup were already set on the table.
His mother was surprised. “Why are you up so early today?”
“I don’t know.” The tips of Wen Yan’s ears were red. “I just woke up naturally.”
“By the way, Mom, Dad, do you know how I got back last night?”
His father sat at the small square table. “Someone brought you up. They knocked on the door and said they were a driver. Didn’t look strange.”
Wen Yan almost buried his head in his bowl. “Oh.”
“What’s wrong?” his mother asked curiously.
Wen Yan’s voice was weak. “Nothing.”
After eating, Wen Yan returned to his room and turned on his computer.
Gu Yulan had sent him a message half an hour ago: [Yan-yan, you were too sleepy last night, so I had someone send you back early. Send me a message when you wake up. You might feel bad after drinking so much yesterday, I’ll have someone send you some congee.]
The shame in Wen Yan’s heart grew heavier.
Gu Yulan was so good to him and had been with him for so long, yet the first time the figure in his dream had a face, it turned out to be Pei Zhouye, whom he had only known for one day.
[Yulan-ge, no need. I woke up early and have already finished lunch. And I don’t feel bad anywhere.]
[By the way, do you have any dietary restrictions? Let me cook for you when there’s time, my cooking skills are very good.]
The other side might be catching up on sleep, as there was no reply for a long time.
There were dozens of messages in the group chat. Wen Yan clicked in and skimmed through them.
They were talking about the competition and Pei Corp.
[The preliminary review has started. I’m so nervous, but I feel like we’ve got this in the bag.]
[Ahhhh, thinking about it still makes me nervous. Insider news says Pei Corp is preparing to develop several new projects recently…]
[Begging God to open his eyes! For the sake of us staying up so late for so long, give us a direct pass to an internship offer!]
Wen Yan finished reading, sent a sticker, and started zoning out again.
Pei Zhouye’s Pei… could it be the Pei of Pei Corp?
Wen Yan was frightened by his own thought. Why was he thinking of that name again?
Even if it was, they were just a competition group; they wouldn’t have any connection with that kind of young master.
