Part 4
The manager put the red-eyed rabbit in a much smaller cage and reminded, “Sir, the thing on his neck is a spiritual power suppression device. It cannot be removed, otherwise, he might escape. If such a thing happens, we are not responsible.”
Young Master Bai rolled his eyes at him. “You wouldn’t be thinking of catching him a second time after he escapes, right?”
The manager smiled. “How could that be? Our South City has principles.”
Young Master Bai spat in his heart. If you had principles, you wouldn’t do such dirty things.
But the fact that they dared meant it was obviously tacitly accepted in the First Star.
Young Master Bai carried the cage covered with a black cloth, his mood instantly deflated, returning to Ning Yunyi listlessly. “Uncle, I want to eat braised pork.”
Hao Yan and Joe on the side: Who doesn’t?
When Hao Yan and Joe piloted the spaceship to send Ning Yunyi and the other two back to the West City, they suddenly said, “Mr. Bai, someone is following us.”
Ning Yunyi guessed who it was without looking. “People from the South City Underground City. If they want to follow, let them.”
Anyway, he didn’t intend to hide his image and identity in Area F. There were only four underground cities in Area F; they would have to deal with each other sooner or later.
Within two days, once the skewers and braised pork drew the customer flow over, these three families would definitely come knocking directly.
Hao Yan and the other two thought of the braised pork with lingering fragrance on their lips, sniffed their saliva, and got hungry again.
When the spaceship arrived at the entrance of the West City Underground City, the followers watched helplessly as the four went in. “They belong to the West City? Are they Anselm’s people? Quick, go back and tell the City Lord and the others.”
Good heavens, didn’t Anselm say he wouldn’t get involved in this business? Can’t sit still anymore?
As the followers left, Ning Yunyi and Young Master Bai got off the spaceship, looking at the reluctant Hao Yan and his friend. “By the way, wait a moment. I have to give you the promised thank-you gift.”
Hao Yan waved his hands repeatedly. “No need, no need. It was on the way. How can we ask Mr. Bai for a thank-you gift?” Do they still want face? They’d be too embarrassed to say it out loud.
Ning Yunyi smiled. “Are you sure? The thank-you gift I want to give is a braised pork food box.”
The last four words came out, and Hao Yan and Joe instantly froze on the spot: What?! Did they hear correctly? Braised pork… food box?
Using a box, wouldn’t that mean far more than one portion?
The two gasped, exchanged a glance, and finally decided that in front of braised pork, they could be shameless.
The two sat obediently. “Then sorry to trouble Mr. Bai. We’ll wait for you here.”
Ning Yunyi smiled and took Young Master Bai back to the castle first. Using the cover of the kitchen, he took out three food boxes. The braised pork rice was prepared long ago, originally intended for the little cub to eat directly if he got hungry while cultivating.
Now it was just dividing two more portions.
Originally intended to give one portion, thinking about Hao Yan and Joe being two people, and both helped this time, he couldn’t be stingy.
So, when Ning Yunyi came out carrying three boxes, Young Master Bai’s hand pinching the cage was trembling. “Could one of them be my… braised pork rice!”
Ning Yunyi gave him the braised pork rice separately. “These two boxes are braised pork for Hao Yan and Joe. Send it to them first, then… take this Elias back to your castle, change into your clothes, and come over again before the shop opens in the afternoon.”
He had a livestream at noon and no time.
Young Master Bai naturally had no objections. In order to eat the braised pork rice earlier, he dashed away carrying the cage with a swish.
In the cage, the red-eyed rabbit who was originally squatting suddenly jerked back, falling on all fours. “Ji ji! Ji ji!” Obviously, in a place where it couldn’t be heard, a certain rabbit was cursing very dirtily.
When Young Master Bai rushed past like a gust of wind, Hao Yan and Joe were still discussing how to divide the food box later. The next moment, something flashed before their eyes and left quickly.
When they recovered, each had a food box in their hands.
The food box was sealed with special material and also had a heat preservation function.
Hao Yan and Joe lowered their heads and stared, swallowing saliva. “Could this be…”
Joe exclaimed, “Do I have one too?”
Hao Yan hugged the food box tightly, exchanged a glance with Joe, suddenly slammed the spaceship door shut, and rushed back. They couldn’t wait to go back and taste it carefully. The method of swallowing dates whole in the morning was not satisfying at all.
As soon as Ning Yunyi sent Young Master Bai away, the big and small cats hiding in the dark immediately sprang out. Especially the little meow cub rushed into Ning Yunyi’s arms, rolling in his arms like having fun.
One moment showing pointed ears, the next showing his belly. Haven’t seen Father all morning; miss him so much, so much.
Ning Yunyi held the little meow cub and sat down aside, scratching the little guy’s chin. The little cub purred, looking up and wagging his tail.
Ning Yunyi glimpsed the big cat lying obediently aside out of the corner of his eye and reached out to scratch it too.
The big cat subconsciously raised its head and narrowed its eyes comfortably. After a while, its whole body stiffened: Is it already starting to become cat-like?
Ning Yunyi laughed out loud seeing its disbelief. He simply sat cross-legged on the ground, gave it a vigorous rub, and when it was about done, lowered his head to hug the little meow cub back into his arms, forehead gently touching the little cub’s, momentarily unsure how to speak.
Ning Yunyi was still unsure if the little guy was Ning Xingyao.
But if he was, Elias would be Ning Xingyao’s loyal servant in the book, following him from the time Ning Xingyao arrived at the Zong family.
The book didn’t mention Elias’s past, but obviously, if Ning Yunyi and Young Master Bai hadn’t appeared today, Elias might have been auctioned off.
What he would experience wasn’t clear, but obviously, it wouldn’t be too good; otherwise, his face wouldn’t have become like that later.
Now that Ning Yunyi and Young Master Bai brought Elias back to the Underground City, they naturally wouldn’t let him experience everything in the book again.
Similarly, after changing the trajectory, Elias would no longer become Ning Xingyao’s person.
Ning Yunyi stroked the little guy’s small head. “Today, Father went out and brought back a half-beast with your cousin.”
The little guy looked up, looking puzzled. “Meow?” Then he hugged his father’s neck warily. Is Father going to raise another one?
Ning Yunyi explained, “The other party was being auctioned. It would be miserable not to bring him back. Father won’t bring him back to our castle; he’ll stay at your cousin’s place for now. Father wants to ask you, do you want to meet more friends?”
This time not as master and servant, but as friends.
The little guy had been by his side since birth. He was closest only to him, so he was very dependent.
Later, with the big cat, the little guy also liked it.
Ning Yunyi believed the little guy would also like Elias.
Hearing not bringing him back, Ning Xiao Miao nodded his small head obediently. “Meow.”
Ning Yunyi stroked his head. “Then go change back. After lunch, Elias will come over.”
Ning Xiao Miao didn’t know what an auction was, but understood it was miserable. He imagined the other party’s pitiful appearance and was carried upstairs by the big cat to change back and change clothes.
