His gaze instantly darkened, almost tyrannical emotions churning in his eyes. He recalled Candy Heart’s intimate teasing tone. Jealousy, anger, various dark emotions mixed together, burning his reason.
That one sentence from the email echoed repeatedly in his mind.
[I have someone I like, I don’t like you.]
âTang Xingye doesn’t like him.
âTang Xingye likes Zhou Lin.
âTang Xingye was even… willing to drug Zhou Lin?
This thought drilled into his heart like a poisonous snake, biting fiercely at the most fragile place.
Lu Zhi’s breath hitched, his heart sinking violently.
“Tang Xingye.”
Tang Xingye kicked directly at Zhou Lin’s vitals without mercy. The other party finally let go.
He raised his wet eyes, corners wet and red, glaring coldly at the Alpha.
Dog thing!
The Beta was still flirting with Zhou Lin, stinging Lu Zhi’s eyes.
Lu Zhi strode forward, his voice terribly hoarse, as if squeezed through his teeth. “Candy Heart, look at me, damn it.”
Another tall shadow loomed over. Tang Xingye looked up at Lu Zhi. Only now did he see the other’s sinister expression clearly, wishing to slaughter him.
This look of discovering the truth and demanding an explanation made Tang Xingye’s heart sink. Realizing Lu Zhi just called the online dating nickname, he found out?
When did he find out?
Tang Xingye realized the gap between his current physical state and the other’s strength. If Lu Zhi really wanted to beat him up now, he’d probably end up lying in the hospital.
Lu Zhi stared fixedly at the pink marks pinched onto Tang Xingye’s knuckles. Thinking this wasn’t left by him made him crazy with jealousy.
Lu Zhi’s knuckles cracked from clenching, rage and some more complex emotion churning in his eyes. He stared dead at Tang Xingye, voice hoarse: “…Is what he said true?”
As long as Tang Xingye lied to him, Lu Zhi would believe it, treat this as an accident, and then beat Zhou Lin up.
However, Tang Xingye looked away silently, eyelashes casting a small shadow under his eyes. This reaction was crueler than any answer.
Lu Zhi took a deep breath, stating expressionlessly, “‘Really looking forward to meeting Gege! I prepared a gift for you.'”
Tang Xingye froze, realizing he was repeating the last message sent by Candy Heart.
Facing the situation where Lu Zhi exposed the identity of the online scammer, after a moment of panic, Tang Xingye quickly calmed down.
Lu Zhi at this moment was like a gambler who knew he would lose everything, forced to a dead end, yet still retaining a last shred of fantasy.
“What was the ‘gift’ you originally wanted to prepare for me?”
Despite the redness at the corners of his eyes, his gaze was sober.
Tang Xingye suddenly laughed. He laughed extremely coldly, hiding sarcasm. “Didn’t you receive it?”
“That email.”
When the last syllable landed, Lu Zhi’s eyes went completely dark.
After a dead silence of a few seconds, the last bit of light in Lu Zhi’s eyes faded. “Did you ever like me, even a little bit?”
Tang Xingye chuckled lightly, as if this was a stupid question.
“Didn’t I say it was for fun, two months of online dating with a non-existent Omega. You are really easy to trick.”
He shattered Lu Zhi’s fantasy of the Candy Heart persona, choosing to show his hand directly.
Compared to cocoa, he hated the gunpowder smoke pheromones more.
Tang Xingye was trying hard to provoke Lu Zhi now. If it were usual, he would pretend not to know what the other was saying, but his physical state was terrible now.
The heat stimulated by pheromones and the heat-inducing agent boiled in his body; his rationality could shatter at any time.
He anticipated getting beaten into the hospital by Lu Zhi; it was better than suffering the torture of the heat-inducing agent here. That impotent psycho Zhou Lin knew he drugged him yet chose to drink it and stay here; who knew what crazy things he would do next.

Tang Xingye’s body grew hotter, his words increasingly merciless. He lowered his eyes, concealing the blurred arousal in them, and continued to step on the other’s foot provocatively, grinding with the last bit of strength.
The air solidified. Lu Zhi’s pupils constricted abruptly, pheromone riots almost tearing apart his reasonâbut in the next second, he laughed low, his thumb rubbing Tang Xingye’s wrist bone, tone terrifyingly gentle:
“It doesn’t matter. It doesn’t matter if you lie to me… you being willing to lie to me is very good.”
“…I’ll let you bite back, okay?”
Tang Xingye’s pupils dilated instantly. He couldn’t understand Lu Zhi’s reaction, just like a cat can’t understand a dog.
Any Alpha knowing the Omega they longed for was actually a Beta, and that they had been played and disgusted by a Beta for two months, would fly into a rage out of humiliation and want to beat the person into the hospital.
For a moment, Tang Xingye thought Lu Zhi was mad with anger and speaking sarcastically.
However, the originally fading cocoa pheromones, representing the owner’s high-pitched emotions, suddenly burst forth, becoming more intense.
He was simply about to laugh from anger at Lu Zhi.
This person is truly incurable. Does he like the fake Omega that much?
Although Tang Xingye’s brain was very clear, his special constitution made the pheromones act like oil poured on a burning fire.
Tang Xingye’s body honestly gave a reaction; cool white skin surfaced with an even more tempting pink.
Judging by the pheromones and the Alpha’s state, Zhou Lin, the impotent one, was less dangerous than Lu Zhi.

Seeing Lu Zhi freeze, Tang Xingye’s lips curved, continuing to add fuel to the fire, tone full of malice. “You arrogant and boring Alpha, why do you think I would like you?”
Lu Zhi’s voice tightened. “Is that so?”
Lu Zhi’s expression satisfied Tang Xingye very much. Spend a bit more breath to stimulate him.
“Are you going to cry? Gege,” Tang Xingye looked at Lu Zhi, revealing a very shallow smile, calling out the address Candy Heart used for Lu Zhi in online chats. “But we are nothing to each other. You have to watch me like someone else, watch me get married and have children.”
Tang Xingye’s words were like a sharp knife, stabbing ruthlessly into Lu Zhi’s heart, maliciously twisting twice.
The air froze for an instant.
Lu Zhi’s pupils constricted abruptly, knuckles clenched white. The Alpha’s pheromones almost condensed into substance under extreme emotional fluctuations; a trace of blood scent mixed into the bitterness of cocoa.
âHe’s going crazy.
Tang Xingye held his breath, body trembling slightly due to the rioting pheromones, waiting for Lu Zhi’s furious fist to fall.
He stared at Lu Zhi’s tightened jawline, watching the veins pop on the Alpha’s neck, even clearly hearing the sound of the other’s teeth grinding.
âDo it quickly.
He urged silently in his heart, fingertips unconsciously digging into his palms.
But Lu Zhi just stared dead at him. The emotions churning in his eyes went from rage to pain, finally solidifying into a kind of creeping calm.
“……Okay.”
This single syllable squeezed out from between his teeth, light enough to be almost inaudible.
The next second, Lu Zhi got up abruptly, turned and left, kicking over the wine cabinet beside him.
The loud noise of glass exploding hurt the eardrums; flying shards refracted cold light under the lamps.
The sound of the door slamming shook the chandelier.
Tang Xingye stared at the still-trembling door, stunned.
Fuck!
Tang Xingye really couldn’t understand why Lu Zhi reacted like this.
He originally just wanted to provoke Lu Zhi into fighting to escape the current predicament.
Before he could think, his thoughts were interrupted. “Compared to Lu Zhi, do you prefer staying with me?”
Zhou Lin’s gaze observed the changes in the Beta’s expression. Tang Xingye glared at him hatefully.
Zhou Lin certainly wasn’t sentimental enough to think he was special, but he seemed to know the reason for Tang Xingye’s change in attitude.
He took out a handkerchief and meticulously and considerately wiped away the fine sweat beads appearing on the other’s smooth forehead.
“Look at you, this impotent A is disgusting enoughâ” His chin was suddenly pinched, meeting gentle, smiling eyes.
“Impotent?” Zhou Lin looked at Tang Xingye, asking with a smile, “Seems Xingye still has misunderstandings about me.”
Zhou Lin stayed on the side for so long; Tang Xingye was sure he must have deduced the truth of the matter, knowing he deliberately pretended to be an Omega to scam Lu Zhi online, playing his childhood friend.
However, during their conversation, Zhou Lin had no reaction at all.
