Chapter 21: Forum Style: Why Isn’t Tang Xingye Wearing Clothes?
Tang Xingye lowered his long lashes, stared at Pei Lian, and said in a cold voice, “Pei Lian.”
Seeing Tang Xingye’s icy face, Pei Lian’s heart skipped a beat, and he immediately stopped making noise.
“What are you fussing about?”
Pei Lian lowered his eyes and pursed his lips, looking a bit aggrieved. “I was wrong. Xingye, don’t be angry. I just wanted to spend more time with you. It’s my first time having pheromones extracted, I was too nervous… I was afraid you’d despise me.”
Pei Lian tilted his face up, using an angle he had specially practiced, and looked at Tang Xingye while clutching the hem of his clothes. “I won’t make you angry again.”
The tall Alpha looked just like a dog that had made a mistake and was begging for forgiveness in front of the Beta, hooking onto its owner to plead for mercy.
However, the owner’s clear eyes were calm and expressionless.
Tang Xingye felt he might have spoiled Pei Lian too much, causing him to be clingy all day as if he had separation anxiety.
“Do you dislike me? Do you not want to pay attention to me anymore?”
“I don’t do experiments as well as Lin Mo. I’m afraid you’ll only be good to him in the future and won’t want me.”
Tang Xingye pulled out the syringe and pressed a cotton swab down with his fingertips.
The soft pad of his finger inadvertently brushed against the Alpha’s gland. In an instant, the Alpha’s emotions were soothed, and the dark thoughts that had nowhere to settle in his heart received nourishment and grew wildly.
He carefully grasped Tang Xingye’s wrist, his eyes shining with joy.
Tang Xingye looked at him steadily. “Say these things the next time I’m doing an experiment. I don’t like Lin Mo, and I won’t ‘be good’ to him.”
Pei Lian’s black eyes suddenly lit up, though deeper things were hidden within them.
Lin Mo, who was just about to enter the laboratory: “…”
Lin Mo rested his hand on the handle, pondering whether he should push the door open and go in.
Tang Xingye didn’t even look up as he stored the pheromones. “If you heard, then come in.”
Lin Mo: “…”
Tang Xingye was truly unceremonious with him, treating him like a beast of burden without bothering to do even the superficial pleasantries.
As soon as Lin Mo entered, he saw the corners of Pei Lian’s lips slightly curled, a triumphant light flashing in his eyes.
Damn green tea.
“Do you need pheromones? You can extract mine,” Lin Mo suddenly spoke up.
Tang Xingye: “…?”
Wasn’t his rut just over? Where would Lin Mo get extra pheromones for him?
Pei Lian tightened his grip on Tang Xingye’s wrist, refusing to let go. “I can still give more; we don’t need an outsider.”
Tang Xingye: “…”
Did one or both of them want to cause a lab accident and drain themselves until they fainted? Did their Alpha instinct to compete make them act this dramatically?
He lowered his eyes to organize the data, the corner of his lips unconsciously hooking into an arc—he had just thought of a brilliant experimental plan.
The usually cold and distant Beta suddenly smiled. His aloof face gained a touch of richness, and the mole at the corner of his eye exuded a seductive charm.
“What are you laughing at?” Pei Lian’s voice was hoarse.
Tang Xingye looked up at the two Alphas. The inexplicable smile on his lips made their hearts heat up, wishing they could go up and lick him.
They were very close, and the Alphas could smell the fragrance coming from the Beta.
However, in the next second, they were kicked out.
“Both of you, get out. Don’t disturb my experiment.”
Bang. The door closed, and only then did the two wake up as if from a dream.
Pei Lian glanced at Lin Mo, whose expression was obscure and dark. The corner of his mouth hooked up; now his pheromones were left on him.
Ji Chen was very sensitive to malice.
The moment he met Tang Xingye, he could sense that this Beta roommate would often be visited by trouble.
This was the first time he had intuitively felt the malicious intent entwined around Tang Xingye—damp, sticky, obsessively morbid, like vines desperate to fill a person up.
He had thought Tang Xingye would be the type of pitiful creature who was weak and helpless, shedding tears like a fragile vase waiting for others to save him. He didn’t expect Tang Xingye to beat up those Alphas without a hint of hesitation. It was so clean and efficient that Ji Chen wanted to clap and cheer.
Why would such a cold, sharp Beta who was good at fighting back attract so much malice?
He remembered a term often associated with Tang Xingye: The Anonymous Forum.
Ji Chen logged in. It showed that guests could not view the content, so he registered a smurf account.
Since when did the campus anonymous forum have a private board? He clicked on it, but his permissions were insufficient; it required over 500 points.
But the content of the public board silenced Ji Chen for a few seconds—it was enough for him to deduce the content of the posts in the private board. The bright red titles on the homepage were shocking:
[Teaching] Where exactly are a Beta’s sensitive spots? A practical tutorial on seducing Tang Xingye into hitting you!

Ji Chen wanted to scroll down to see other posts, but accidentally clicked on the thumbnail just posted in a thread.
An image blatantly rushed into his view.
Tang Xingye was wearing a maid outfit with black silk garters. The straps dug into the roots of his thighs, creating an indent. The hem of the skirt was too short to cover the flesh of his buttocks as he straddled an Alpha’s waist.
His hands held a snow-white soufflé topped with a cherry.
He raised his beautiful, flushed face. His cold eyes were misty, seemingly very shy. “Husband, please enjoy.”
[Note: Common Sense Modification—Feeding husband breakfast early in the morning is a wife’s obligatory duty.]
Ji Chen licked his canine tooth. This was…
The comments on this post were growing rapidly:
2nd Floor: [So fragrant! Saving it immediately, I’m gonna explode!]
3rd Floor: [Sorry, another day of doing bad things to Baby (Crying emoji)]
4th Floor: [If I could eat Wife’s grandpa’s lover every day, I can’t imagine how happy I’d be.] (Note: “Grandpa’s lover” likely refers to a specific food item or is a slang/typo in context, but preserved literal meaning)
5th Floor: [Why does Wife have a tail with a heart on the back? OP, is this an accessory or a plug-in?]
6th Floor: Reply to 5th Floor: [According to this teacher’s XP (fetish), it must be the latter, hehe… maybe it’s even remote-controlled.]
7th Floor: [So damn good, I’m self-inserting first, slurp!]
Within a few minutes, the post was reported and deleted.
Ji Chen scrolled a few times. The posts below were slightly more normal. Well, actually, not that normal either.
Thread: Wife really has a young miss’s temper. He got angry just because I followed him a little bit. But the cat scratching people is cute ne. You homewreckers are envious, right? Do you receive this treatment?

OP: [Heh, I’ve seen it long ago. Average.]
4th Floor: [Freshly taken ★★ pool wet hair photo, want it?]

Looking at these posts, Ji Chen frowned slightly. Rather than feeling disgusted, he felt more confusion.
Why did so many people fantasize about Tang Xingye? Calling him Princess, Baby, Wife, Cat—all sorts of messy titles.
Beautiful people all looked the same in Ji Chen’s eyes. Tang Xingye just had an extra mole at the corner of his eye, making him appear a bit special.
People around him evaluated Tang Xingye as good-looking, with a nice voice, white skin, thin waist, and perky butt. Hmm, that seemed to be all.
Ji Chen carefully recalled Tang Xingye’s appearance and confirmed it was so.
…No wonder others mistook him for an Omega.
Opening the door, Ji Chen happened to meet eyes with Tang Xingye, who had just finished showering and was drying his hair.
The two looked at each other silently for a while.
Ji Chen’s expression was a bit subtle. Why wasn’t Tang Xingye wearing clothes?
Well, he was wearing a little.
Tang Xingye’s upper body was only wrapped in a towel that barely covered his chest, and the shorts on his lower body clung tightly to his legs, outlining a vaguely visible silhouette.
Lowering his eyes, he saw a section of white, smooth, slender waist. Water droplets flowed down the lines, sweeping past his well-proportioned calves and disappearing into his delicate ankles. The thin pink flush from the steam hadn’t yet faded.
A peculiar fragrance mixed with water vapor rushed toward his face.
Ji Chen’s gaze stared at Tang Xingye for a second, then quickly moved away.
“You’re injured.” His voice was somewhat low and hoarse.
Tang Xingye faced the mirror, only then noticing a bruise on his shoulder blade. That patch of purple-blue was particularly dazzling on his cold white skin, looking like a mark maliciously pinched by someone.
It was probably from hitting the out-of-control equipment in the lab earlier. Tang Xingye tried to touch it but found he couldn’t reach. He casually wiped away a water droplet, his tone flat. “Small injury, ignore it.”
“It will get worse.” Ji Chen’s voice was a few degrees lower than usual. “You can’t reach it. I’ll help you.”
He turned and rummaged through the drawer for the first aid kit.
Tang Xingye lifted his eyelids to glance at him, but still sat casually on the edge of the bed.
To be fair, if he had to compare the annoying people in the dorm, the one Tang Xingye found relatively less annoying was Ji Chen.
Aside from having little contact, it was mostly because the other party was very “Straight Alpha”; one look and you knew he wouldn’t have superfluous thoughts about anyone other than Omegas.
Tang Xingye rarely smelled his pheromones. Compared to other Alphas who leaked pheromones at the drop of a hat, Ji Chen’s presence was nearly non-existent, as if deliberately locked away.
Ji Chen sat beside him. When unscrewing the iodine bottle cap, his fingertips paused imperceptibly.
Too white… blindingly white.
—Is this the skin color a Beta should have?
Black hair clung to his neck, and round, translucent water droplets at the ends of his hair slid down his pinkish-white skin, disappearing into the edge of the bath towel.
At this close distance, Ji Chen could smell the cocoa scent of Lu Zhi on Tang Xingye, the gunpowder smoke of Zhou Lin, and two other unfamiliar scents.
The classic “Group Feeding Picture” from the forum suddenly flashed through his mind—the Beta surrounded by several Alphas being fed, cream staining his lips.
Ji Chen narrowed his eyes, his gaze darkening slightly.
“You have other people’s pheromones on you. It’s very heavy.” He spoke suddenly, his voice cold and hard.
Tang Xingye: “So?”
Ji Chen: “…Nothing.”
Tang Xingye tilted his head slightly. Wet strands of hair swept across Ji Chen’s wrist, gliding lightly like a feather.
The moment the cotton swab dipped in liquid medicine touched the bruise, Tang Xingye gave a soft hiss. The next second, the cold medicine was poured onto the hot bruise.
Cold and hot intersected, and a strong stimulating sensation spread, making him tremble all over. He subconsciously tried to dodge forward, but was firmly held in place by a palm on his lumbar dimples, the thumb pressing right into the concave curve.
“Don’t move.”
The voice was low and hoarse, fingertips circling the edge of the bruise. The liquid medicine became viscous under the heat of the body, sliding slowly down the line of his spine, and was smeared out by the pad of his finger.
Tang Xingye’s eyelashes trembled slightly, a flush appearing at the tails of his eyes. The skin that had been touched felt like it was burning.
“What are you two doing?”
A cold voice suddenly pierced in.
Lu Zhi stood at the door, knuckles still gripping the handle. Obscure anger churned in the depths of his eyes, and the cocoa-scented pheromones around him surged violently, uncontrolled.
