Chapter 28: Beating Up Zhou Lin: His Gentle and Kind Wife Delivered the Most Ambiguous and Proactive Flirtation. Part 1
No one liked the Topic Review Group, especially reviews that sent work back for revision.
Zhou Lin’s tone was serious: “Your group’s project design is over-engineered. You used complex models but didn’t explain why simple methods weren’t applicable.”
Although it was just a small class project in cooperation with others and Tang Xingye wasn’t the person in charge, he felt Zhou Lin was targeting him.
Zhou Lin: “Go back and refine this part of the content.”
Tang Xingye echoed along: “Mn.”
Dumbass, get lost.
Zhou Lin was very satisfied with Tang Xingye’s current obedience. Tang Xingye naturally didn’t ignore the emotion flashing through the other’s eyes.
Being asked to stay behind, Tang Xingye pointed it out directly: “You’re doing this to disgust me?”
He couldn’t find a reason for Zhou Lin to treat him like this.
“Why do you ask this every time?” Zhou Lin smiled seemingly helplessly at such a familiar question. “It’s because I like you, like you very much.”
“That’s truly disgusting.” Tang Xingye stated his attitude without hesitation.
“Does your project still need help?” Zhou Lin called out to Tang Xingye who turned to leave.
Tang Xingye paused, turning his head to look at him. “Are you giving it?”
Zhou Lin: “…”
Tang Xingye’s slightly kind attitude toward him was limited to him being a useful tool.
Tang Xingye wore gloves and pressed down on Zhou Lin’s gland. The burning body temperature transmitted through the gloves, and the beating artery of the swollen gland was particularly clear.
Zhou Lin looked up at Tang Xingye’s face, wanting to see his reaction. Unfortunately, the Beta’s expression was very faint, eyes lowered, seemingly treating this as a mundane matter. Only those pale pink lips spat out a vicious title, “Estrus bitch dog.”
The tone was very light, without much emotion, as if stating a perfectly ordinary fact.
Zhou Lin: “…”
Zhou Lin decisively changed the topic. “You’re covered in Lu Zhi’s pheromones lately. Do you really like him?”
Tang Xingye: “None of your damn business.”
Zhou Lin: “…”
Tang Xingye stuck the needle into Zhou Lin. The gunpowder-scented pheromones spilled out, and he frowned slightly. “If you can’t do it, just say so.”
Zhou Lin: “Just draw.”
Tang Xingye drew 300ml in one go. Seeing Zhou Lin’s face turning a bit pale, he used a maddeningly flat tone, “Sorry, are you impotent now?”
Zhou Lin: “Continue.”
Tang Xingye drew a bit more. “Can’t do it anymore?”
Zhou Lin’s smile faded a bit, not answering the question directly. “…The advisor is looking for me later; I have other matters.”
Tang Xingye gave an “Oh.” “That’s truly regrettable.”
Seeing a trace of faint regret pass over Tang Xingye’s face, Zhou Lin didn’t know if he regretted not continuing his stubborn talk or regretted admitting he couldn’t do it.
Zhou Lin remembered that night. As soon as Tang Xingye recovered a bit of strength, he asked him if he couldn’t do it anymore, and then the mocking voice was smashed into pieces.
Tang Xingye really held grudges. Looking obedient and pure, yet he wouldn’t suffer a single loss.
He suspected that if the punishment on the King’s Game day had been negative distance contact between the two, Tang Xingye would have frantically gagged him.
As Tang Xingye left holding the pheromones, discarding him—the tool—without hesitation after use, Zhou Lin spoke up:
“You think Lu Zhi is sincere? He just treats you as his Omega because of Pheromone Disorder Syndrome. Even if he really likes you, if you are with him, he won’t live past thirty.”
At that time, even if Tang Xingye gives birth to a child, he will be a weak and bully-able widower. Those Alphas might even threaten him with his child, penetrating him time and again in front of his husband’s portrait, mashing his insides.
Tang Xingye’s expression was very faint, not surprised at all, nor pitiful.
Lu Zhi wasn’t anxious or worried, his attitude casual. Why should he worry?
Besides, how miserable could Lu Zhi be? Lu Zhi’s background already far exceeded ordinary people. A life riding in a BMW since childhood—how many people dreamed of having that?
What he cared more about was that Lu Zhi’s Pheromone Disorder Syndrome actually had such serious consequences and no effective medication yet. This was an excellent research topic and subject.
And Zhou Lin was really noisy.
Zhou Lin: “Once he dies, the Lu branch family will swarm up and divide his inheritance.”
“You’re very proud to live a few years longer than him?” A trace of sarcasm appeared on Tang Xingye’s face. “You mean I shouldn’t choose him, but choose you?”
Genes granted Alphas physical fitness far exceeding Betas and Omegas, while fairly taking away their lifespan. Especially Alphas with high spiritual power generally didn’t live long. The pot calling the kettle black; Zhou Lin would only live a few years more than Lu Zhi.
Tang Xingye didn’t hide his aggression. “Trash who needs medicine to have sex. You won’t even be able to get hard when old, needing help to walk.”
“When I visit your grave, I’ll remember to send a box of aphrodisiacs as a wreath and bring a different Alpha every day to offer incense to you.”
Zhou Lin was choked into silence.
Tang Xingye’s mouth was truly poisonous. He somewhat suspected Tang Xingye’s previous cold appearance was to accumulate virtue and avoid angering people to death with his words.
Tang Xingye wasn’t interested in their dog-eat-dog fight. Lu Zhi wasn’t a good person, but how noble was Zhou Lin?
Didn’t he just want to say Lu Zhi was unreliable and he could only rely on Zhou Lin?
Quite laughable…
Regarding the aphrodisiac incident, if Tang Xingye were an Alpha, Zhou Lin would only beat him up. If he were an Omega, he would probably forgive his actions. But he was a Beta, caught in between.
But Tang Xingye never felt being a Beta was bad, nor did he think being another gender in the next life would make him happier.
No matter the gender, no matter the background, he, Tang Xingye, would always be Tang Xingye.
In the afternoon, cicadas chirped noisily, the scorching sun baked the cement ground hot, and restless dust floated in the air.
Shen Qing was holding a box of mineral water. Seeing Tang Xingye on the road, she beckoned him to come take a bottle.
Tang Xingye’s gaze swept over her sweat-dampened temples. “Why haven’t you come to the Debate Club lately?”
“The Disciplinary Department is busy catching stalkers,” Shen Qing smiled helplessly. Suddenly lowering her voice, her gaze went past Tang Xingye’s shoulder. “Not talking for now, that person appeared again.”
Shen Qing stared in that direction as she spoke. “Xingye, help me deliver two bottles of water to the Omegas in the Disciplinary Department, Room 303.”
“The confiscated contraband could open a supermarket; the cabinets are almost full.” Ming Yu sorted through the mountain of photos, her fingertips pausing on a particularly explicit image.
“These stalkers are truly shameless. But their photography skills are really good; they have all kinds of perspectives for self-inserting into violating the Campus Beauty.” Tu Si pulled out a few close-ups.
“This photo, ★ surrounded by a group of Alphas, waist held, legs gripped, someone pressing close from behind. Really so fragrant. Fighting pictures shot looking like g*ngbang erotica.”
“They even blurred those Alphas’ faces. Wash the skin suit, and I can substitute in immediately.”
“Substitute what? You don’t even have a dick.” Ming Yu stuffed the photo into the file bag grumpily.
Tu Si looked down, then suddenly wailed exaggeratedly, “Ahhh! Where is my Optimus Prime? Who stole my Transformer?!” She pointed abruptly at Ming Yu. “Did you do it!”
“Shut up. If I had that equipment, I’d be the first to go lick the Campus Beauty.” Ming Yu rolled her eyes.
Tang Xingye stood at the door of the reference room holding two bottles of mineral water and stumbled upon this conversation.
Tang Xingye: “…”
He walked in, voice as usual. “Senior Shen Qing asked me to deliver water.”
The air froze instantly.
Ming Yu, who was mouthing off just now, stopped instantly. The folder in her hand clattered to the floor. Beside her, Tu Si immediately lowered her head to play dead, but her toes had already dug out a three-bedroom apartment on the floor.
As members of the Disciplinary Department representing the school’s integrity and uprightness, being caught by the person involved… they really wanted to find a crack in the ground to crawl into.
Ming Yu was ashamed and blushed with embarrassment. “We…”
Tang Xingye picked up the folder from the ground and handed it to her, saying seriously, “Don’t do this in the future.”
“En, en… We were wrong.” The two Omegas nodded like pounding garlic.
