Chapter 39: Sharing a Bed: Hands Got Dirty
Lin Mo’s face showed nothing; his expression remained calm and unruffled.
Off-camera, his palm tightly gripped a piece of soft fabric, which still retained its owner’s scent. The veins on his arm bulged, and the spaces between his fingers squeezed into arcs, as if truly kneading soft, full buttocks.
His gaze was fixed tightly on the screen, waiting for the other’s next move.
Tang Xingye found it truly novel. Lin Mo usually ignored people, but today, just to be stubborn, he spoke so much with him and insisted on looking.
Sick people do irrational, abnormal things. Maybe when Lin Mo recovered, he would regret his current pique.
Tang Xingye was very triumphant, as happy as winning a clover fight. “Lin Mo.”
Lin Mo remained expressionless.
Tang Xingye’s face moved closer to the screen, staring at Lin Mo with a smile, deliberately dragging out his tone: “Hey, why are your ears red? Do you have a fever?”
Lin Mo stared at him for two seconds, then suddenly—
“The other party has hung up.”
Tang Xingye stared at the suddenly black screen, stunned for a second, then laughed out loud like a victorious rooster.
Teasing Lin Mo was really fun.
Lin Mo stared open-eyed at the fabric in his hand, opened the box in the drawer, took out all the soft fabrics in a frenzy, and buried his face deep into them.
Want to hug Tang Xingye.
Saying he came to visit, there was actually nothing much to chat about. Tang Xingye and Lin Mo’s relationship hadn’t reached the point where they talked about everything.
In the ward, the two of them were now staring at each other.
Tang Xingye had to quietly look around. Last time he was in a rush and didn’t look closely; this time counted as seeing the world.
The bed in the VIP ward looked different indeed, big enough for two people to lie down, seemingly very soft and easy to sleep on.
Lin Mo: “I thought you wouldn’t come.”
Tang Xingye really felt Lin Mo seemed like a different person. When they first met, he wished to keep a distance, but now he expected him to visit.
With the competition over, he remembered this matter. Although he hadn’t done anything, and he wouldn’t take the blame, the person was injured because of him, so basic humanitarian care had to be given.
That pervert was still haunting him: [Baby, why are you always seducing me? Do you want to hold pheromones in your mouth?]
[Can’t help getting a boner thinking about Baby giving oral. Baby, guess what I’m doing right now?]
Tang Xingye couldn’t be bothered to think about those disgusting text messages anymore. He deliberately used a nonchalant tone: “Came to see. Can you still do experiments?”
Lin Mo looked like he was recovering okay. The patient gown hung loosely on his body, and his injuries were mostly healed.
Normally, Lin Mo should have sneered and used a voice laced with ice to say, “Not dead. You’ve seen, you can go.”
But Lin Mo acted out of character. He didn’t reply, his dark eyes staring at him. That gaze was substantial, as if wanting to chew Tang Xingye up completely, making Tang Xingye’s hair stand on end.
Looking at what? Did Lin Mo discover I wrote in my diary cursing him to be unlucky? Or does he know I secretly wore his shirt?
Tang Xingye had to change the subject and walked forward.
Lin Mo looked up at him coldly.
Tang Xingye dragged out his tone, “You wouldn’t still be thinking about the bathroom thing, right?”
Lin Mo’s pupils constricted sharply. This subtle change in expression didn’t escape Tang Xingye’s eyes. He laughed inwardly; sure enough, this was Lin Mo’s weakness.
Just as he wanted to pursue the victory, a commotion came from outside the window. Lin Mo’s attention was drawn, and Tang Xingye walked to the window to look, finding quite a few people gathered downstairs, with many medical staff running hurriedly.
“What’s going on?” Confused, Tang Xingye opened the window to investigate the cause. Heat and noise immediately surged in.
At this moment, a nurse pushed the door open and entered hurriedly. She went up to Lin Mo and said, “Mr. Lin, very sorry. A water pipe downstairs suddenly burst, and emergency repairs are underway. The water for the entire building is temporarily shut off.”
Then she looked up and noticed Tang Xingye by the window. “Is this your friend?”
Tang Xingye was just about to deny it when Lin Mo spoke first, “Yes.”
The nurse’s expression turned grave. “Hello. Due to the leak, the elevators are temporarily out of service, and there is leakage in the stairwell too. Your friend may not be able to leave for the time being. We are arranging for other patients’ families to transfer to…”
Tang Xingye’s eyes widened slightly, and he couldn’t help stepping forward to interrupt, “Wait, you mean I have to stay here tonight?”
The nurse nodded apologetically. “For safety reasons, we suggest you do not leave the ward. We have spare temporary folding beds here.”
“He sleeps on the bed.” Lin Mo spoke suddenly.
Tang Xingye looked at him. Lin Mo had no intention of explaining, signaling the nurse with his eyes. The nurse understood immediately. “I’ll go get spare bedding. Please ring the call bell if you need anything.”
She left hurriedly, leaving Tang Xingye standing there, unsure how he got arranged just like that.
“Scared?” Lin Mo looked up at him, the corner of his mouth hooking up in an imperceptible arc. “Weren’t you quite talkative just now?”
Provoked, Tang Xingye felt a fire in his heart. He strode to the bed and sat down directly. The elasticity of the mattress bounced him slightly; it was comfortable, unlike a hospital bed.
The two fell into a weird silence again. Tang Xingye secretly sized up Lin Mo from the corner of his eye, found the other was also staring at him, and stared back defiantly.
Tang Xingye looked at him unblinkingly. It was truly miraculous; Lin Mo, this pretentious guy who kept people a thousand miles away, was now looking at him as if meticulously tracing his features to draw him.
The nurse soon brought a pillow and a thin quilt. When everything was arranged and the ward returned to quiet, Tang Xingye realized he was really going to share a bed with Lin Mo.
Sharing a bed then. The bed was so soft and comfortable; he wouldn’t sleep in the hallway just for that bit of pride.
Tang Xingye didn’t know why Lin Mo suddenly changed his attitude, but he didn’t hate the mint scent that much.
Tang Xingye’s gaze fell on his hands. “You still wear gloves when sleeping?”
Lin Mo: “Habit.”
This guy wears gloves even when sleeping? What a weirdo.
Tang Xingye was always understanding and didn’t probe further.
Although the bed was big, there was still room for another person between them. Tang Xingye very consciously used the quilt as a dividing line and threw it in the middle of the bed, raising his glass-colored eyes. “Don’t worry, I sleep very well. I won’t do anything to you in the middle of the night.”
Of course, if Tang Xingye really wanted to do something bad to Lin Mo in the middle of the night, a mere quilt couldn’t stop him. Besides, Lin Mo was a patient now; whether he could beat him was another matter.
When Tang Xingye lay down, Lin Mo’s body stiffened for a moment, intense emotions churning in his chest.
Tang Xingye seemed very sleepy. He rubbed his cheek against the pillow and quickly entered a sleep state.
His nasal cavity was filled with Tang Xingye’s scent mixed with a faint soap smell—a scent much stronger than on the thin fabric.
Now Tang Xingye was like a small cake offering itself, sweet and delicious, rousing the perverted, dark thirst Lin Mo had suppressed for a long time.
He turned his head, obsession surfacing in his dark eyes. His burning gaze swept over Tang Xingye’s face inch by inch.
Tang Xingye was asleep, black hair sticking to the side of his face, long eyelashes casting shadows. A thin redness appeared at the cold white corners of his eyes, and his moist lips were pink and tender, seducing people to lick.
So obedient.
He clearly hated his pheromones before, yet now he slept beside him so defenselessly.
How could a layer of quilt stop an Alpha who wanted to do bad things? Lin Mo gently took out a spray from the drawer, sprayed twice onto a tissue, and waved it near Tang Xingye’s nose.
Now Tang Xingye fell into a deeper sleep and wouldn’t wake up easily.
“Baby, coming over only after showering… that’s packaging yourself for me to eat, right?”
Tang Xingye naturally couldn’t hear the sticky, panting question, but his soundly sleeping, quiet appearance was a default answer in the eyes of the obsessed Alpha.
He pressed against the soft lips; the vicious dog circling its prey licked the round, small lip bead. A sickly flush appeared on his face, pleasure overflowing from his eyes. Soon, this degree couldn’t satisfy the clamoring hunger.
Increasing the force, his canine teeth dangerously scraped across the lower lip, and then, taking advantage of the moment the other grunted in pain in his sleep, he forcefully pried open the defenseless teeth.
“Mm… Nn…”
Tang Xingye let out a weak whimper in his dream, but Lin Mo took this as encouragement. His tongue drove straight in, greedily searching every inch of territory in the mouth.
The upper palate was deliberately rubbed, the base of the tongue stirred, making Tang Xingye tremble all over.
Sucking to the deepest part again and again. Saliva couldn’t be swallowed in time, overflowing from the lips, glistening with crystal light under the moonlight.
Tang Xingye couldn’t breathe in his sleep. His face was flushed, vivid red appearing at the corners of his eyes. He retreated unconsciously, but Lin Mo held down his struggles, allowing no escape.
Lin Mo took off his gloves, liberating his desire from the black leather.
Finger pads with thin calluses stroked the snow-white, soft skin with sickly greed. The skin soon glowed with a faint pink.
Lin Mo’s fingertips glided gently across Tang Xingye’s finger pads. His calloused fingertips rubbed slowly and meticulously, as if playing with some precious object.
Tang Xingye’s hand was held by him, palms touching, fingers interlaced. Lin Mo’s thumb gently rubbed over his knuckles, again and again, carrying some secret greed.
In his sleep, Tang Xingye moved his fingers unconsciously, but was held even tighter by Lin Mo, not allowed to withdraw.
Lin Mo lowered his eyes, gaze falling on their interlaced hands, darkness churning in his eyes. He slowly guided Tang Xingye’s hand downwards. The moment their fingertips touched, his breath hitched slightly.
Tang Xingye’s finger pads were soft and warm, but Lin Mo’s knuckles were tense, his strength restrained and enduring, as if afraid of waking him, yet also afraid of losing control himself.
Moonlight spilled through the gap in the curtains, reflecting the shadows of interlaced fingers.
Tang Xingye’s fingers were slender and long, small compared to an Alpha’s.
Can’t hold it.
A terrifying color leaked from between the fingers, the fair skin making it look even more ferocious.
Even with the air conditioning on, summer was always hot.
Lin Mo held Tang Xingye’s hand; sticky sweat flowed out endlessly.
Tang Xingye grunted softly in his dream. His fingertips curled unconsciously, but happened to rub past—
Lin Mo’s breathing sank abruptly, Adam’s apple rolling, the darkness in his eyes deepening.
Tang Xingye seemed to feel something, mumbling aggrievedly and slightly angrily. His already furrowed brow trembled lightly.
Someone released soothing pheromones and comforted with a clear voice: “Sleep.”
Tang Xingye couldn’t hear clearly, only feeling the burning monster leave. instinctively relaxing, he fell into a deep sleep.
The room returned to tranquility.
Tang Xingye woke up, looking at the unfamiliar environment, still a bit dazed. He quickly realized he was still in the hospital.
A long-lost, familiar voice came from the door.
Zhou Lin, eyes pitch-black, spoke abruptly, “I didn’t know your relationship was this good?”
