Part 2
Tang Xingye followed Zhou Lin into the splendid hotel. He surveyed the magnificent decor, feeling his horizons broaden a little more.
The receptionist in a tailcoat recognized Zhou Lin immediately and led them into the VIP room.
Passing through the corridor, they heard a girl’s surprised exclamation. “Xing-bao Wife! I’m here!”
This excited shout drew many sideways glances. Tang Xingye instantly harvested countless gazes, his face blank.
A girl lifted her skirt and ran over in high heels, her eyes full of excitement. Tang Xingye was a bit afraid she would run too fast and fall, but she stopped steadily in front of him. “Hehe! I knew I didn’t recognize you wrongly. I didn’t expect to see you here.”
“Right, right, my ID is ‘Protect Xing-bao’s Panties’!”
Tang Xingye remembered this account. Since the first day he started streaming, this old fan hadn’t missed a single broadcast.
He quickly expressed his thanks. “I remember you.”
He hadn’t expected to be recognized by a fan, and being called “Wife” in public was truly a social death sentence. Tang Xingye’s expression was very faint, but the tips of his ears had long since burned hot.
Ye Lin noticed Tang Xingye’s slightly glazed-over eyes and realized she was being too familiar. She coughed twice. “Sorry, I was just too excited. Did I scare you… You are really beautiful.”
How could she not be excited when her favorite streamer suddenly appeared in front of her?
Observed up close, Tang Xingye was truly so beautiful he seemed to be on a different graphical layer than everyone else.
Praised by Ye Lin, Tang Xingye couldn’t help but curve his lips slightly. “You are very beautiful too.”
Zhou Lin smiled faintly. “Miss Ye, your brother seemed to be looking for you just now.”
Ye Lin woke up as if from a dream and hurriedly looked at her watch. “Ah! I almost forgot…” She smiled apologetically at Tang Xingye, took two more reluctant looks, and asked, “Um… can we take a photo together? Just one!”
Before Tang Xingye could answer, Zhou Lin had already naturally blocked her path by half a step. “Sorry, we are in a hurry.” His tone was gentle but allowed no refusal, his fingertips resting imperceptibly on Tang Xingye’s lower back.
Ye Lin let out a disappointed “Oh.” She suddenly fished a lipstick out of her clutch, pulled out a tissue, and quickly wrote a string of numbers on it. “My contact info! I’m always there when you stream!” With that, she lifted her skirt and ran off like a wisp of smoke, afraid of being interrupted by Zhou Lin again.
Tang Xingye looked down at the tissue in his palm; his knuckles were stained with some undried lipstick. Zhou Lin pulled out a handkerchief and methodically wiped away the red stain. “You really are likable.”
“You can’t wipe it off.” Tang Xingye watched his futile efforts with schadenfreude. “That’s waterproof.”
Zhou Lin paused, the corners of his lips raising to a perfect arc. “Dior’s limited edition velvet lip glaze? Quite tasteful.”
Tang Xingye was about to pull his hand back, but Zhou Lin took the opportunity to grip his wrist. His thumb stroked over the red stain, smearing a patch of ambiguous faint red on the skin.
“Wrong shade choice. This color doesn’t suit you.”
Tang Xingye glanced at Zhou Lin strangely. Does he know more about lipstick than a female Beta?
Entering the room, Tang Xingye immediately saw a very beautiful white gown hanging nearby. He couldn’t help but take a few extra looks; Zhou Lin’s sister or cousin would probably look especially beautiful in that dress.
It wasn’t until the stylist brought the dress in front of him that Tang Xingye instantly understood Zhou Lin’s meaning. He turned to leave.
“I’m not wearing it.”
Does he have some fetish? Likes watching people wear skirts?
Zhou Lin held his wrist and explained softly, “Little Green Leaf, this banquet isn’t hosted by my family. If you want to go in, you can only do so as my female companion.”
Tang Xingye looked at Zhou Lin with a ‘drop dead’ expression, his eyes clearly saying: Keep making things up.
He wanted to wear a suit.
He also wanted to experience the feeling of a successful person in a suit and tie like on TV.
Tang Xingye struggled a bit but couldn’t break free. Too lazy to move, he said, “Give me a suit. I can be a bodyguard.”
“Bodyguards can’t enter the lounge.” Zhou Lin leaned down, whispering in his ear, “You don’t want others to know about you sneaking up on a classmate and beating him into the hospital, do you?”
“…”
“Choose, Little Green Leaf.” Zhou Lin let go of him and pushed the gown forward slightly.
Zhou Lin was truly a god-tier oddity. Knowing he beat someone up, yet still able to live in the same dorm with him without batting an eye.
Tang Xingye carried the dress into the fitting room. He took off his Pinduoduo clothes. He dawdled for a while, but still put it on.
A skirt is just a skirt; clothes are meant to be worn by people anyway. If you really traced it back, kilts and stockings were originally designed for Alphas.
Tang Xingye’s proportions were born extremely well; every inch was just right. His skin was fair, neck slender, waist thin, and legs long.
An androgynous face, yet no one would mistake his gender.
He didn’t know where Zhou Lin got his measurements, but the dress fit perfectly, hugging his waistline tightly, curving inward, then flowing out in a rounded arc.
The fabric was very comfortable. Tang Xingye couldn’t help but stroke it a couple of times.
Tang Xingye pushed open the door. Zhou Lin’s eyes stagnated slightly, then filled with satisfaction.
“It suits you very well.”
Zhou Lin nodded slightly to the masked stylist who had been waiting. The stylist immediately stepped forward, pulling Tang Xingye to sit in front of the mirror.
The stylist leaned down, moved close to Tang Xingye’s face, looked him over, and couldn’t help exclaiming.
“Wow, Baby, your skin condition is so good.”
The other party excitedly praised Tang Xingye as if he were a heavenly being, making him a bit bashful. As if encouraged, the stylist gestured wildly, babbling terminology Tang Xingye didn’t really understand, so he could only smile silently.
There wasn’t much makeup to do. The stylist simply patted on some powder, applied some lip glaze, and put on a wig.
Tang Xingye had made peace with it. He had already accepted wearing a dress; a wig was nothing. He’d just treat it as experiencing being an Omega for a night.
“What’s with the injury?” Lu Zhi looked at the gauze on his friend’s face, frowning slightly. The friend’s eyes dodged, and he hemmed and hawed, “Accidentally fell.”
“Oh, I thought your partner hit you.”
“What kind of joke is that!” The friend suddenly raised his volume, drawing sideways glances from people around. He lowered his voice awkwardly: “In this house, I’ve always been the one calling the shots.”
Saying this, he patted Lu Zhi on the shoulder. “Bro, when looking for a partner, you gotta find one like mine. Saves you worry.”
Hearing this, Lu Zhi felt bitterness in his heart and didn’t want to reply. He threw his head back and drained his whiskey, the ice ball hitting the glass wall with a crisp sound.
He was truly heartbroken by Tang Xingye. He just hit that slut once.
Tang Xingye had given him the cold shoulder for a whole day. Didn’t reply to messages, didn’t pick up calls, even sending money didn’t work. Being a simp to this extent was truly despicable.
Being given the cold shoulder was one thing, but Tang Xingye was responsive to everyone else, so he shouldn’t be this angry.
Tang Xingye paid attention to everyone except him—sparring with Ji Chen, and getting into Zhou Lin’s car without a word.
They say loving someone is like raising a flower, but Tang Xingye just treated him like a giant fool.
With a ding, Lu Zhi slammed the empty glass heavily onto the marble countertop.
Lu Zhi’s brain was now thoroughly awake. He decided that this time, he absolutely had to let Tang Xingye taste the flavor of being ignored. He wouldn’t return messages, wouldn’t answer calls. No matter how Tang Xingye tried to keep him, it would be useless.
Gasps came from the entrance. Following the clack-clack-clack of footsteps, Lu Zhi looked back and saw a great beauty in a snow-white dress walking in, that beautiful face emerging from the light and shadow.
Lu Zhi stared blankly. “Wife…”
The skin was even three shades brighter than the white dress, glowing lustrously under the lights. A cold, breathtakingly beautiful face, with a tear mole under the eye like an ink mark deliberately placed on white porcelain, adding a touch of temptation.
