The Coveted Gloomy Beta Roommate Chapter 47.1

Chapter 47: Are You Not Happy Using Them?: We Are True Love. part 1

When Tang Xingye woke up, the first thing he felt was the lingering soreness and swelling in the gland at the back of his neck.

His mind was blank until he smelled the rich pheromones, and belatedly recalled what had happened.

He propped up his weak arms to sit up. The silk sheet slipped from his shoulders, his hair messy and loose. Moving his legs slightly, he felt a sticky sensation on his inner thighs—didn’t know if it was sweat or something else.

Only then did Tang Xingye notice the two Alphas sitting on the sofa.

Lin Mo had his legs crossed, fingertips tapping rhythmically on his knee, his expression cold and his eyes dark and unreadable.

Ji Chen, on the other hand, was boredly playing with candy wrappers scattered on the coffee table. The wrappers flipped between his fingers, dancing points of light jumping within.

Tang Xingye lay lazily on the back of the sofa, chin resting on his arms.

His waistline dipped into a startling curve. The hem of his dress rode up a few inches due to the movement, revealing faint finger marks on his lower back.

Lin Mo’s crossed legs tightened unconsciously, the rhythm of his tapping on his knee clearly disrupted.

“Why are you guys here?” Tang Xingye’s expression was a bit puzzled. “Wasn’t I drinking in the hall?”

Tang Xingye doesn’t remember anything?

Lin Mo’s expression stiffened, then returned to calm. “Don’t know.”

“You really wore me out.” Ji Chen stopped his movements, extending his wrist forward, looking at Tang Xingye with a spurious smile, his eyes full of teasing.

“? Did I hit you after drinking?” Tang Xingye looked at Ji Chen, staring at the band-aid on his finger pulp, frowning slightly. “You’re blaming me for this tiny wound?”

“…” Ji Chen’s gaze landed on Tang Xingye’s face with a scrutinizing meaning. The other party’s face looked normal, seemingly truly having no memory.

The Beta’s cold, pale face showed a thin flush, eyes watery. His pale lips, having been rubbed repeatedly, appeared bright red. He lay on the back of the sofa, looking at him with a serious face.

After a while, he said, “How do you feel now?”

“Pretty good,” Tang Xingye rubbed unconsciously against the edge of the sofa, like a satisfied cat, completely failing to notice the instantly darkening eyes of the two Alphas.

“Slept a bit, very comfortable.”

Not just comfortable; it was too good.

Fed full by Alpha pheromones, his whole body was filled with that floating, immortal-like comfort. Even deep in his bones, there was a thrilling numbness.

But how could he say that? Roommate, your pheromones smell so good, made me feel so good.

He was a Beta, so they didn’t think it was sexual harassment. Change the gender, and they would call the police in minutes.

“Is that so?” Ji Chen laughed, saying meaningfully, “That’s really a pity.”

Tang Xingye propped his hands on the back of the sofa, trying to lift his upper body, but had no strength. Seeing this, Lin Mo got up, walked forward, and reached out to help him.

Tang Xingye instinctively slapped Lin Mo’s hand away. The crisp sound echoed in the room.

He looked at the back of Lin Mo’s hand, which quickly turned red. His throat tightened as he noticed bloodstains on the cuff of the mysophobic Lin Mo. “Sorry, I couldn’t control it.”

“It’s fine.” Lin Mo just withdrew his hand indifferently, folding his cuff up once more. “I won’t hold it against you that you were drunk.”

Tang Xingye pursed his lips, a wave of anxiety rising in his chest.

Awkward and conflicted emotions entangled him like vines, scratching at his heart.

He would rather his roommates be cold and heartless people who looked down on him from above. That way, he could naturally hate them, curse them, and wish them unhappiness.

Is this guilt? Tang Xingye thought, Probably. Guilt for doing something bad and not being held accountable. He also despicably felt a bit relieved.

Fortunately, they didn’t pursue it. If they really counted the stupid things he did during his heat, Tang Xingye would lose all face. Well, being caught cross-dressing by roommates left him with no face to speak of anyway.

Tang Xingye mentally noted another heavy mark against Zhou Lin.

“I have things to do, leaving first.”

Until Tang Xingye’s back disappeared, and Lin Mo left shortly after, Ji Chen remained alone in the room.

He withdrew his gaze, the lazy and casual expression fading, leaving only deep thought.

What is Tang Xingye hiding?

Lin Mo and Lu Zhi both know, and are helping?

The party wasn’t over yet. Tang Xingye didn’t want any more complications, so he went to the presidential suite booked by Zhou Lin. On the way, a waitress almost fell. Seeing this, Tang Xingye gave her a hand.

She was probably new. She stared straight at him and blurted out, “You’re so pretty. Are you a newly debuting artist?”

After snapping out of it, she apologized profusely. Tang Xingye smiled at her in a friendly manner.

The waitress watched him leave, then quickly returned backstage with a red face, unable to stop herself from whispering with her colleagues.

“Sis, I just saw the pretty Omega you talked about!”

“Long legs, thin waist, and so white…”

“Looked very aloof, but smiled so gently…”

Tang Xingye rummaged through the room but couldn’t find a needle and thread to mend the tear. Staring at the small rip on the inside of the white dress, Tang Xingye sighed.

To relieve his boredom, he turned on the TV, which happened to be playing Gone with the Wind, one of his favorite movies. hugging a cushion, Tang Xingye appreciated the film once again.

Immersed in the movie, Tang Xingye didn’t notice anyone come in until the sofa beside him dipped and a strong smell of alcohol drifted to his nose. Startled, he immediately looked up in panic. It was Zhou Lin.

Although his expression carried a smile, the smile didn’t reach his eyes. Looking at him, Tang Xingye subconsciously gripped the cushion tighter.

Zhou Lin: “Did you have fun?”

It was fine not mentioning it, but mentioning tonight’s encounter filled Tang Xingye with resentment. “You have the nerve to ask? It’s boring to death here, and the pheromones are mixed and smelly.”

Zhou Lin: “Ji Chen and Lin Mo—are you not happy using them? Are two Alphas not enough? Little Green Leaf is much greedier than I imagined.”

The person sent to keep watch told him Tang Xingye ran around in heat. Originally, he wanted someone to bring him back to the room, but they were scared off by an Alpha’s pressure.

Use?

He did indeed use those two people’s pheromones at the same time, but why did this word sound so weird?

Zhou Lin’s tone carried a hint of sarcasm. “I feel they were quite enthusiastic toward you.”

Tang Xingye threw the cushion at him. “Don’t drag them into this. I’m talking about you. Not a single word out of your mouth is true. Where is the fun here?”

Zhou Lin didn’t dodge. He fell back with the cushion, leaning against the sofa, and smiled. “Not fun?” He answered himself, “Yeah, not fun.”

Tang Xingye felt Zhou Lin was really strange right now. But thinking about the series of events and Zhou Lin’s unusual reactions, it wasn’t that strange.

Smelling the alcohol, Tang Xingye scooted a bit to the side. “You won’t go crazy from drinking and hit people, right?”

Zhou Lin: “You really understand me.”

His gaze fell on Tang Xingye’s lower abdomen. After nurturing it for so long, it was still a thin layer; anything inside would be very obvious.

A slight press, and he would cry out.

This scared Tang Xingye into getting up and changing seats, sitting on the opposite sofa. “Where did you go to play tonight?”

“Went to see my family.”

“Oh, seeing family is quite happy,” Tang Xingye said casually. He didn’t care about Zhou Lin’s family situation; he just wanted to return the white dress while the other wasn’t paying attention to the tear.

Zhou Lin looked at Tang Xingye and smiled again. “Had a little unpleasantness. I just rejected the family’s arranged marriage. I said I don’t like being arranged.”

Tang Xingye was annoyed seeing him like this. “If you’re in a bad mood, just be in a bad mood. Wearing a smiley face all day makes you look fake.”

“I’m in a bad mood?” Zhou Lin asked with a smile.

“Just a feeling.” Tang Xingye rolled his eyes. “Don’t smile if you don’t want to. It looks disgusting.”

Zhou Lin put the cushion aside and sat up.

“Do you have any way to make me happy?” Zhou Lin retracted his smile, looking at Tang Xingye expressionlessly.

When he wasn’t smiling, he looked a bit terrifying, like an empty shell stripped of all emotion, leaving only numbness.

“What do you take me for? An amusing toy?” Tang Xingye rolled his eyes at him and tugged at the dress. “Give me back my clothes, quick.”

“I thought you were very capable, Little Green Leaf.”

Tang Xingye raised an eyebrow. He had to say Zhou Lin was truly annoying. But he also understood him well enough to know which words could hit his sore spot. He had a strong character; he didn’t like being suppressed or looked down upon.

Tang Xingye suddenly had a bright idea. He leaned forward, getting closer to Zhou Lin.

His eyes held a smile, looking exceptionally tempting under the light. “Zhou Lin, do you think I’m beautiful?”
