Chapter 92: Don’t Even Think About Making Him Speak First!
Xie Qiang crouched down, covering her face in embarrassment. “We won’t be like that again tonight!”
“Heh-heh.” Hong Que looked at her expressionlessly. “I don’t believe a single one of your guarantees.”
“But this is too…” Xie Qiang bit her lower lip, her eyes not daring to look at Hong Que at all. “Don’t you find it awkward?”
She really didn’t know what Hong Que was thinking. The two of them were just friends. Moreover, didn’t Hong Que always despise her? Why would he suddenly be willing to “warm” her?
“Hey, this kid Mo Yin likes you so much that he has a physical reaction just by being pressed against you!” Hong Que’s face was dark as he exposed the truth ruthlessly. “Do you know how hard it was for me on watch last night! Rather than enduring that shared sensation there, I’d rather just warm you myself!”
“At least I won’t go into heat at the drop of a hat like him!” He snorted, throwing another mineral into the fire.
Xie Qiang buried her face in her knees, her body completely shrunk into a “quail egg.” “Don’t say anymore!”
“Yo, so you do know how to be embarrassed!” Hong Que rolled his eyes. “Since you know, then tonight you come with me and let Mo Yin take the watch!”
Xie Qiang kept her head down, her head aching as she bumped it against her knees.
Regardless of which option it was, she felt so ashamed!
At night, when it was time to sleep, Hong Que had already gone to lie on the stone bed. Xie Qiang sat by the fire, stalling and not wanting to go over.
The temperature in the cave dropped bit by bit. She couldn’t take it anymore and leaned against Mo Yin’s shoulder, whispering softly, “Mo Yin, cold.”
Mo Yin lowered his head, his finger lightly stroking her icy cheek. Then, he took off his black compression shirt and pulled her into his arms.
On the stone bed, Hong Que rolled over. Seeing the two pressed close together, his heart felt extremely uncomfortable.
What the hell? It makes it look like I’m some kind of villain breaking up a young couple!
The red-haired youth closed his eyes in irritation.
Mo Yin lightly rubbed against the girl’s cheek. Seeing her still shivering from the cold, he pursed his lips, his eyes showing an intense reluctance.
He didn’t want to, but… she would get sick.
“Go.” He released the girl, his gaze turning toward the stone bed. “Warm.”
Xie Qiang bit her lip, stubbornly shaking her head. “Don’t want to.”
The red-haired youth, who was sleeping with his eyes closed, clenched his fists slightly. Forcing down the sour taste in his heart, he rolled back to face the stone wall.
If she doesn’t want to come, then don’t! It’s not like I’m so willing to warm her!
Hong Que thought indignantly, his fists clenching tighter. Anyway, he wasn’t the one who would get sick!
Seeing Xie Qiang stubbornly refusing to get on the bed, Mo Yin had no choice but to look at Hong Que. Hong Que felt a burning gaze on his back and shrunk further toward the wall.
Don’t even think about making him speak first!
Mo Yin: “…”
Mo Yin: Mm…
Mo Yin: Mhm!
A hint of realization flashed in the youth Sentinel’s eyes. He loosened his arms from Xie Qiang. Then, like a giant black wolf, he suddenly pounced on her. His broad palm cupped the back of her head to prevent her from hitting the ground, then his nose arched into her neck.
Xie Qiang was caught off guard by the pounce. She opened her eyes in shock. “Mo Yin?”
The youth didn’t respond. His dark gold pupils stared at her deeply. Following that, his free hand pulled back her already loose collar and bit down toward the tooth mark from last night.
Xie Qiang gave a muffled groan from the bite. Thinking that Hong Que would perceive everything clearly, a wave of agitation rose in her heart. She anxiously tried to push him away. “Mo Yin, don’t!”
Mo Yin lightly raised his eyes, looking at her with a slightly hazy gaze. Then, he grabbed Xie Qiang’s hand, pressing her palm against his chest, then sliding it down bit by bit.
Xie Qiang tried to pull her hand back helplessly, but he held it down firmly. Only when her periphery caught something that made her heart shudder did her small hand shake, her eyes widening in disbelief.
Aaaaaahhhhh!
What Hong Que said was true again!
“Hey! Have you two had enough!”
From behind her head, an impatient voice rang out. Hong Que had walked over at some point. He looked at the two with a dark, disgusted face. “I told you, I can feel it!”
Truly enough!
When did this brother of his become so “black-bellied” that he would actually resort to this to force him to take the initiative!
He grabbed Mo Yin’s belt, tossing the youth aside like he was throwing a dog. Only then did he bend down to look down at Xie Qiang, his tone stiff. “Really stalling, do I have to invite you!”
He scooped Xie Qiang up. His thick, powerful arm allowed her to sit steadily on his forearm. The sudden feeling of weightlessness made Xie Qiang instinctively hook her arms around Hong Que’s neck, failing to notice the slight jolt it gave him.
“Tsk.” Hong Que gave a small click of his tongue. He hadn’t even done anything yet, and she was already being “handsy”!
Sure enough, saying she was unwilling before was all an act. She just couldn’t let go of her status as a Guide and wanted him, the Sentinel, to take the initiative!
But he wasn’t going to let her have her way!
Dammit! She’s about to have her way!
Hong Que held the girl loosely, forcibly suppressing the urge to pull her tightly into his arms. He stared at the stone wall behind her, not daring to shift his gaze for a second.
How is she so soft? Is her body made of water?
And she’s so white. She’s a completely different color than me… I’m actually afraid my skin tone will get her dirty and she’ll blame me!
Hong Que’s heart was thump-thump pounding. His body was stiffer than a log. Only when he felt the girl fall asleep did he slightly relax his tense body and breathe a sigh of relief.
His gaze drifted down slightly, scanned something, and then hurriedly withdrew. He muttered, “Is he a dog? It’s not like he’s making a permanent mark, yet he’s still biting.”
And he bit her there…
The red-haired youth’s earlobes turned red. Anyway, if it were him, when he made a permanent mark in the future, he definitely wouldn’t bite there.
A bit unable to sleep, he idly played with the girl’s soft, white hair. He didn’t know how much time had passed when the girl in his arms suddenly began to shiver from the cold, pressing against his body.
Hong Que froze instantly.
A familiar tingle spread across his skin. He didn’t dare move at all. Only when he saw the girl shivering from the cold did he hesitate and hesitate again before tentatively placing the arm that had been loosely holding her onto her back.
The girl’s shivering lessened a bit.
“Really can’t handle the cold.” He complained in a low voice, but his body honestly pulled Xie Qiang tighter bit by bit, the corners of his lips involuntarily curling up. “Forget it, forget it, I’m too lazy to settle scores with you. Just this once.”
However, was her skin too smooth and tender? Like a boiled egg…
His fingertips twitched slightly. Hong Que stared wide-eyed, thinking in his heart that he only wanted to warm her lower back. So, his broad palm, which had a slightly rough texture, began to slide down her back in a fragmented manner.
When he touched an uneven spot, he froze for a moment. Then, after feeling it carefully, he realized it was actually a set of tooth marks. He blinked in confusion.
He didn’t remember biting here in last night’s sensory experience.
It didn’t feel like a natural mark either. After realizing what this was with some delay, Hong Que’s face suddenly darkened, his eyes practically murderous.
This is a permanent mark?
Someone actually… secretly marked Xie Qiang?!
