Chapter 12: Continue, Please Me
Wen Yuhuai had never been so speechless. He hadn’t seen the man listen to him before, yet now he was nitpicking words.
But at least he found the root of the problem. Wen Yuhuai breathed a sigh of relief, turned over in his arms, and put his back to him. “I’m tired. I’m going to sleep.”
The man wickedly pinched the soft flesh at his waist again. “Baby is going to sleep just like that? Did you forget something?”
Wen Yuhuai jumped in his arms like a startled rabbit. “What are you doing?”
The man’s hand slipped through the gap in the bathrobe, his fingertips circling the soft flesh at his waist. “Baby’s memory seems a bit poor, so I’ll say it again. If you want to get out in two days, the first thing Baby needs to do is make me happy.”
Wen Yuhuai felt tormented all over by this slow torture. He reached back to pry the man’s hand away, asking in a muffled voice, “What do you want me to do?”
The man chuckled softly twice. His tone was strange as always, answering a question with a question: “Don’t you know what I want?”
Wen Yuhuaiās scalp went numb. Of course he knew. It was precisely because he knew that he feigned ignorance and asked again, hoping for a different answer. But clearly, he was going to be disappointed.
“It doesn’t matter. Baby can take his time thinking. I’m in no rush, it’s just that Baby might have to go out a few days laterā”
Before he could finish, the young man in his arms suddenly turned over. Cupping the man’s chin clumsily with both hands, he kissed him on the lips with the resignation of someone facing death.
The kiss was too rushed. It was less like a kiss and more like four lips crashing together and parting instantly.
The man licked his lips, seemingly unsatisfied. “Not enough.”
Wen Yuhuaiās entire face was red enough to smoke; it was just hidden by the darkness. “That’s enough. It’s late; let’s sleep early.”
The man simply remarked slowly, “Don’t want to go out anymore?”
Wen Yuhuai cursed the man’s eighteen generations of ancestors in his heart, but he still cowardly leaned in and kissed him on the chin.
The man tutted in the darkness, obviously not very satisfied. “You kissed the lips just now; why the face now?”
Wen Yuhuai explained in a muffled voice, “Too dark. Couldn’t see.”
The man didn’t hold it against him. Instead, he switched from passive to active, flipping over to pin him down, holding the back of his neck, and kissing him.
Wen Yuhuai gritted his teeth and steeled his heart, deciding to just lie there and let him kiss. Once he had kissed enough, it should be over.
Facts proved his thinking was too simple.
The man gnawed on him for a while and seemed to notice his distraction. He let him go with waning interest and lay back down. Just as Wen Yuhuai was secretly rejoicing that it was finally over, the man spoke slowly.
“Your turn. Continue.”
Wen Yuhuai was dumbfounded. Continue what?
The man tutted lightly again, finishing the first half of his sentence unhurriedly. “Continue. Please me.”
Wen Yuhuai recognized each of these words individually, but combined, he felt like he couldn’t understand Chinese anymore.
Please him?
Excuse me? He, a grown man, was supposed to please another grown man?
“What, don’t know how? Or do you want to stay here and keep me company for a few more days?”
Threatening him with this again. In a fit of anger, Wen Yuhuai steeled himself and started stripping the man’s clothes. As he stripped him, he chanted in his heart: It’s fine. We are both men. Just treat it as good brothers helping each other out.
Beijing First People’s Hospital.
“Auntie, don’t worry. We have news of Ah Yu. He is safe. We’ve roughly narrowed down the area where he’s being hidden. He’ll be found soon.”
Jiang Jingās eyes were full of red veins. Her skin was dry and peeling from lack of care, and blisters had formed at the corners of her mouth from anxiety. She looked as haggard as one could possibly be.
“It’s been almost half a month. Who exactly kidnapped him…”
Gu Yanxiu adjusted the drip rate for her, his attitude convincing as always. “Rest assured, Auntie. Once we find the mastermind, we definitely won’t let him off.”
Jiang Jing sighed and looked up at him, but her gaze lingered on his lips for a moment longer than necessary.
Gu Yanxiuās body stiffened slightly for a moment, but his face remained composed. He raised his hand to touch his overly red lips. “The weather has been dry lately; I accidentally got some heat in my system too.”
Jiang Jing shook her head and looked away. Sighing again, she comforted him, “Auntie knows you are all worried about Little Huai’s situation, but you still need to take care of your health. Don’t be like me and worry yourself sick.”
Gu Yanxiu agreed smoothly. He sat with Jiang Jing for a while longer before leaving the ward.
The moment he got into the car, his gaze suddenly darkened. His thumb gently rubbed his lips, as if the soft, sweet sensation still lingered.
What a pity. This stolen happy time was coming to an end soon.
He had slept too late the night before, so when Wen Yuhuai woke up the next day, it was already very late. By the time he finished washing up, that stupid robot had already delivered lunch.
Breakfast had sat in the thermal box all morning, so the robot automatically deemed it garbage and took it away, leaving only lunch.
After eating lunch, Wen Yuhuai counted the time, waiting for dark. One more night. Tomorrowātomorrow he could leave this hellhole.
But before it was time for dinner, the lights in the room suddenly went out.
Wen Yuhuaiās heart gave a violent thump. He looked instinctively toward the door.
Perhaps it was an illusion, but he felt the outside of the door was brighter today than before. He could vaguely make out the man’s tall, upright silhouetteāvisually estimated to be at least 1.9 meters.
Before he could look further, the door slowly closed behind the man. He could only hear the footsteps getting closer.
“So happy today. You ate more lunch than usual. Is it because you’re leaving me tomorrow?”
Wen Yuhuai wanted to retort with Duh, but after thinking about it, he held back. Although he didn’t know why the man was letting him go, he finally had hope. It was better not to anger him at this juncture.
The man didn’t seem to want an answer. He lowered his head and gently kissed the corner of his lips. His tone softened rarely, full of tenderness, like whispering in a lover’s ear.
“Will you miss me when you’re out?”
