The Stunning Omega of the Commander Tears the Cannon Fodder Script chapter 64

 Chapter 64

“No, I don’t want to eat…”

“You can’t be picky, my omega.”

____

Fu Qishang walked up to Shen Zhuo.

His flamboyant blonde hair was blown into disarray by the wind.

He raised his chin slightly, his expression arrogant:

“This has nothing to do with you, Shen Zhuo.”

“Move aside.”

Shen Zhuo’s expression remained indifferent: “Why should I?”

“Because his omega father is my uncle.”

Fu Qishang sneered, “The famous S5 Young Master Shen can’t possibly be meddling in other people’s family affairs, can he?”

Shen Zhuo didn’t move an inch, lazily raising his eyes.

“And what if I want to intervene?”

“Shen Zhuozhuo…” Ai Li, standing behind, grabbed his arm, stepping forward weakly and speaking softly, “It’s fine.”

He then looked at Fu Qishang, “I’ll go with you, let’s talk.”

Shen Zhuo blocked Ai Li, “If you’ve got something to say, say it here.”

The young man no longer concealed it. His oppressive pheromones instantly suppressed the S3 in front of him:

“In front of me, you don’t dare?”

Fu Qishang’s brow twitched slightly.

Earlier, he had directed his provoking pheromones only at Ai Li, deliberately avoiding provoking this S5.

Avoiding conflict didn’t mean he was scared.

“Fine.” Fu Qishang sneered as he looked at Ai Li, “Someone who brings disgrace to the family should never expect to rise again.”

“And you,” Fu Qishang narrowed his eyes at Shen Zhuo, “are you planning to go against the Prince?”

“Go against him?” Shen Zhuo curled his lips, his gaze sharp and cold, “Do you think you’re worthy?”

Fu Qishang’s face darkened, but his smile deepened.

“Very well.”

Fu Qishang left with his group.

He seemed to have come just to give Ai Li a warning.

When Shen Zhuo turned around, he realized that An and the others were standing inside the house, their expressions serious and cold, ready to attack at any moment.

“You all can go back.”

An asked worriedly, “Do we need to send someone…”

Shen Zhuo shook his head.

After all, this was Ares, a school under Du Xun’s command.

Even if someone wanted to make trouble, they wouldn’t be able to stir up much.

After An left, Shen Zhuo asked Ai Li to sit on the bed.

He made him a cup of sweet tea with a fruity flavor.

Holding the cup, Ai Li, rarely, revealed a different expression from his usual self.

“My father escaped from the Fu family to be with my dad.”

“He was the youngest son of the Fu family and the only omega, treated as a bargaining chip for the family’s arranged marriages.”

Ai Li closed his eyes briefly, his voice light.

“I found my father’s diary when I was being playful.”

“That’s when I realized how difficult it was for them to be together.”

“He said that on the day he wanted to marry my dad, his family locked him in a room for four days without water or food.”

“It wasn’t until he was about to die that they opened the door.”

Ai Li bit his lip, as if afraid to recall the events of that time:

“My dad was covered in blood. The Fu family had tortured him, intending to beat him to death.”

“But for some reason, he suddenly found the strength, following his pheromones all the way to my father and rescuing him.”

Ai Li looked at Shen Zhuo, who was leaning against the desk, “Before I was born, the Fu family kept hunting my dad.”

“They didn’t stop until I was born, and it was confirmed that I had an A2 gland. Only then did the assassins disappear overnight.”

Ai Li gave a bitter smile, “The only reason they didn’t approve of their relationship was because my dad was a businessman.”

“The Fu family has been a noble family for generations. They’ve always considered businessmen to be of a lower class.”

Shen Zhuo ran his fingers along the edge of the paper cup.

He had never experienced anything like this, nor had Ai Li ever mentioned it.

Shen Xuyin and Jiang Yuening had met in the military and married after falling in love.

But maybe it was also because, at that time, Shen Xuyin was the last remaining member of the Shen family.

Did family background really matter that much?

Shen Zhuo wouldn’t give a definitive answer.

He knew that managing a large family meant constantly living for the family’s interests.

But in his own heart—

Love was enough.

After sitting for a while and finishing a cup of sweet tea, Ai Li regained his energy and flexed his arm, showing off his muscles:

“I’m not afraid of him! So what if he’s S3!”

Shen Zhuo smiled.

“Indeed.” The young man patted him, “I’m with you. If he bullies you, I’ll fight him.”

Ai Li glanced at him sideways, “Shen Zhuozhuo, you’re starting to sound more and more like me.”

He added nonchalantly, “Not everything about me is worth learning.”

As he patted his clothes and prepared to return to his dorm, he stopped halfway.

“By the way, have you seen Yuxue Ying?”

“You know, that S2 omega young master with the black patch, the one who said he’d defeat you.”

“Our year’s third S-rank omega.”

Knowing that Shen Zhuo wasn’t great at remembering people, Ai Li provided a detailed introduction.

Shen Zhuo shook his head, “Maybe across the hall?”

Ai Li said, “I’ve checked. Two rooms are empty over there. Logically, the three of us should be placed together. I wanted to discuss some cooperation with him.”

Mumbling to himself, Ai Li closed the door for Shen Zhuo.

“How strange. Could he not be coming?”

Shen Zhuo lay on his bed alone.

He stared at the chandelier on the ceiling.

After hearing the story about Ai Li’s fathers, he felt lucky.

Though his past suffering hadn’t been false, the system gave him a second chance.

Now, both his dad and father were well.

And his lover loved him.

Nothing could be better.

He knew this.

There were many rules and traditions in this world, many injustices and conflicts, as if they had existed since the dawn of humanity.

While defending against external enemies, humanity was also destroying itself from within.

How ridiculous.

Shen Zhuo closed his eyes.

When he opened them again, he saw the blurry outline of a man in his vision.

Sitting by his bed, holding a thick book.

Before his adrenaline could spike, he smelled the scent of rosemary.

The aggressive pheromones immediately, instinctively, calmed down.

The man turned his head, his gaze soft:

“It’s me.”

Only then did Shen Zhuo see clearly.

“I knocked, but no one answered, so I used the spare key to come in.”

The alpha looked down at the boy who had burrowed into his arms, pinching his cheek.

“Did I scare you?”

Shen Zhuo’s eyes weren’t even fully open.

But this was Du Xun.

He didn’t need any defenses.

The young man shook his head, “I just didn’t expect you to come.”

“I thought you’d be staying at home, while I’d stay here, and we’d only see each other during classes and weekends for the next six months.”

His voice, still soft from just waking up, carried a hint of a pout.

The alpha smoothed the hair from his face.

“I am staying at home.” The man’s lips curled, “Wherever my wife is, that’s home.”

Hearing this, Shen Zhuo immediately opened his eyes fully, pushing himself up against the man’s legs.

“Are you going to stay here?”

The young boy’s eyes sparkled.

“Mm.” Du Xun’s smile deepened, “The military base isn’t far from Ares. Once I’m done with work, I’ll come over.”

Shen Zhuo wasn’t worried about being seen by others.

If they saw, he’d make it public.

If they didn’t see, he’d find an opportunity to make it public.

It was all the same.

Du Xun let go of him, took off his jacket, and hung it on the coat rack. He rolled up his sleeves to his elbows, revealing smooth, muscular forearms.

“What do you feel like eating?”

Shen Zhuo sat on the bed, watching Du Xun open the refrigerator.

It was packed full of various ingredients.

No wonder.

An had stocked the fridge with so much.

Shen Zhuo had thought An was encouraging him to cook…

But that wasn’t the case.

“Something simple.” Shen Zhuo got out of bed, sliding into his slippers. Suddenly, he remembered that Ai Li probably didn’t have anything to eat either.

“Can we invite Ai Li to join us?”

Shen Zhuo was worried that what had happened earlier that morning might still be weighing on Ai Li’s mind.

Du Xun paused while cutting peppers, “Of course. Any dietary restrictions?”

Shen Zhuo quickly sent Ai Li a message: “No dietary restrictions.”

Two seconds later, he received a short video from Ai Li.

In the video, Ai Li was cooking noodles.

The water was boiling, bubbles rising, and in the background, someone was speaking:

“Does it still hurt? After we eat, I’ll go buy you some dessert. What flavor do you want?”

The camera flipped, showing a tall man in the background, cracking eggs.

It was only a back view, but clearly recognizable.

[Ai Li: Hehe.]

[Shen Zhuo: ?]

[Ai Li: I meant to ask Uncle Lin where the painkillers were. I sent the wrong message to him, and he came right over.]

[Shen Zhuo: How’s your gland?]

[Ai Li: The S3 suppression was too much. If it weren’t for you, I might’ve needed a painkiller shot. But now the meds are working, so I’m fine.]

[Shen Zhuo: Then rest early.]

[Ai Li: Love you, mwah (kissing emoji.jpg)]

“No need, he’s not coming.” Shen Zhuo said.

Shen Zhuo put his phone away, feeling a bit amused.

Suddenly, the student dorm felt more like a couple’s apartment.

There really wasn’t much difference between being here and at the manor.

Shen Zhuo sat at the dining table, resting his chin in his hands, watching as Du Xun served a large bowl of rib soup.

“Two ribs?” The man turned to look at him.

The scent of rosemary had been thick in the air since Du Xun arrived.

Mixed with the aroma of the food.

There was an indescribable warmth.

So real, and so comforting.

Shen Zhuo nodded, watching the steam rise, feeling like his heart was soaking in a warm spring.

“This fish doesn’t have bones, but be careful when you eat it.”

Du Xun placed a piece of belly meat in his bowl. “Tomorrow, I can try making that braised shrimp you liked last time.”

Shen Zhuo took a bite.

It was sweet and sour, making his nose sting inexplicably.

“Du Xun.”

“Hmm?” The alpha’s gaze was so warm it could melt water.

“I’m here.”

The little omega kept his head down, his eyes on the ring on his finger, not looking at him.

“We’ll always be like this, right?”

Shen Zhuo felt like he had received too much.

Before, he didn’t think much of it.

But after learning about Ai Li’s fathers’ struggles, it stirred something inside him.

Du Xun noticed the boy’s mood.

He stood up, walked over, and knelt in front of Shen Zhuo, turning him to face him directly.

Du Xun took his hands.

One of his hands could entirely encompass both of Shen Zhuo’s.

“We will.” Du Xun said.

“We’ll always be like this.”

Du Xun remained kneeling, letting the boy wrap his arms around his neck and kiss him.

“Du Xun… no… I don’t want to eat…”

“You can’t be picky, my omega.”
