The Stunning Omega of the Commander Tears the Cannon Fodder Script chapter 72

Chapter 72: “Du Xun, I’m So Tired…” “Even a Patient Has That Much Strength.”

Shen Zhuo had a premonition that he definitely wouldn’t be able to walk tomorrow.

“Du Xun… I’m so tired.”

He wasn’t someone who easily admitted to being tired.

This time, however, his legs were genuinely trembling.

The boy’s eyes were misty with tears, his snow-white cheeks wet and cold, as the man’s hand gently wiped the tears away bit by bit.

A soft chuckle sounded by his ear, and in the next second, the world spun.

Du Xun whispered:

“Even a patient has that much strength.”

After it was over, perhaps due to the pheromone fusion, Du Xun’s mental state seemed genuinely better.

Naturally, Shen Zhuo wouldn’t let Du Xun cook while he was still recovering.

He stood in the kitchen watching cooking videos.

His knife skills were quite good.

Everything was chopped very neatly.

But that was as far as it went.

Shen Zhuo was clueless about what to do next.

After ruining one dish, the boy spent half an hour pondering over a ten-minute cooking video.

Calling An over to cook would take at least an hour, and it was already six o’clock.

Going to the cafeteria would require Du Xun to walk, which wasn’t an option.

Ordering takeout…

Shen Zhuo gritted his teeth.

He refused to believe he couldn’t make at least one edible dish.

Another half hour passed.

“Your takeout order has arrived. Please give a good review.”

The delivery guy pointed at the trash by the door, tentatively guessing, “This… pot, do you want me to take it down for you?”

Shen Zhuo didn’t even dare to glance at the pot, hurriedly closing the door:

“Thank you, sorry for the trouble.”

As he closed the door, Du Xun was unpacking the takeout.

Shen Zhuo felt very dejected.

“God just closed a small window for my wife.”

Having just cleaned up the kitchen that had caught fire, Du Xun showed no sign of impatience whatsoever.

He was still smiling, seeming even happier.

“And gave me a chance to cook for my wife.”

Shen Zhuo bit his chopsticks, then bit down hard twice, as if venting his frustration.

“You know how to do everything, but I can’t even cook.”

Shen Zhuo puffed up his cheeks: “This won’t do.”

Du Xun gently lifted the Omega’s face:

“What won’t do?”

“Teacher has cooked for his wife for so many years too.”

“Even if you know nothing and are willing to do nothing, I can still take care of you.”

Du Xun: “As long as I know how to do everything, that’s enough.”

Shen Zhuo’s brow twitched, and with ears burning red, he pushed the man’s hand away.

“Eat.”

Just as the two were halfway through their meal, there was a sudden knock on the door.

“Boss! Sister-in-law!”

It was Ji Weishen.

Shen Zhuo put down his chopsticks to open the door.

He saw Ji Weishen sweating profusely.

He must have run all the way up.

As soon as the door opened, Ji Weishen looked inside, and upon meeting Du Xun’s gaze, immediately said:

“We caught a gland hunter! Waiting for your orders, should we interrogate now or…”

Shen Zhuo frowned: “Du Xun hasn’t recovered yet. Can it wait a few days?”

Ji Weishen looked troubled: “Sister-in-law, this gland hunter has been poisoned. He has at most three hours left to live. He doesn’t know it yet, but he refuses to say anything.”

“Does the military have no one else?” Shen Zhuo felt a bit annoyed. Could such a large military not function without Du Xun?

Ji Weishen scratched his head: “There’s no one serving as a Silent Interrogator yet. We can only use pheromone suppression.”

High-level oppressive pheromones, when pushed to the limit, could break through a person’s mental defenses.

Just like how Feng Ming started babbling incoherently under his suppression at the end.

However, only those ranked S4 or above could achieve this.

The military did have an S4.

Chu Baixian.

“My brother went traveling. He left this afternoon.”

Ji Weishen had no other options, glancing anxiously at Du Xun.

“He’s rushing back now, but it’ll take at least five hours to reach the military headquarters.”

Shen Zhuo took a deep breath, tightening his fingertips:

“I’ll go with you.”

There was a slight noise behind him.

When Shen Zhuo turned around, Du Xun had already changed into his military uniform.

After eating, the man’s complexion had regained some color. Wrapped in the solemn uniform, his sickly state was concealed.

“I’ll go take a look.”

Shen Zhuo immediately stopped him, speaking quickly: “You can’t overuse pheromones. The doctor said so, or your injury will worsen.”

As Du Xun passed Shen Zhuo, he ruffled his hair.

He lowered his head and kissed the boy’s forehead.

“Don’t worry.”

Shen Zhuo grabbed his hand: “No.”

He knew he couldn’t stop Du Xun, and understood the urgency of the situation left no time for a tug-of-war.

So he simply held onto Du Xun’s hand and said to Ji Weishen:

“Let’s go together. We’ll talk on the way.”

Sitting in the car, Ji Weishen explained the sequence of events.

The car displayed the military emergency passage light.

Then, running thirteen red lights in a row, they arrived at the military headquarters as quickly as possible.

Shen Zhuo remained silent the whole way. Only when they arrived and Du Xun was about to get out did he grab the Alpha’s collar and warn:

“You can only sit in the office. Don’t move, and don’t use pheromones.”

The Omega’s assertive look was incredibly cute.

At least in Du Xun’s eyes.

Du Xun raised his hand in a gesture of compliance: “Okay.”

When Shen Zhuo followed Ji Weishen to the interrogation room, he surprisingly saw half a room of familiar faces.

It was Feng Muya, and all the students from this batch.

“Why are you guys here?”

Seeing Shen Zhuo, Feng Muya was a bit surprised.

“And why are you here?” The girl asked arrogantly. “We’re here to interrogate this gland hunter, of course.”

Shen Zhuo pushed away Ji Weishen’s hand blocking him and walked up to the group led by Feng Muya.

“What, not worried about your brother, but have the mind to interrogate a gland hunter?”

Shen Zhuo didn’t speak loudly, speaking slowly so only the two of them could hear.

Feng Muya’s expression instantly stiffened.

But she quickly forced a sneer: “He was too impatient. He deserved to fall into your trap.”

The boy raised an eyebrow slightly: “You don’t seem to care about your brother either.”

His words carried an implication that made Feng Muya’s eyes shift.

“Shen Zhuo,” Feng Muya gritted her teeth, “what are you trying to say?”

Shen Zhuo glanced at the gland hunter, sitting nonchalantly in the interrogation room, his muscles straining against the prison uniform.

Shen Zhuo didn’t answer Feng Muya.

Asking what the Queen intended in front of so many people wasn’t a good idea.

“Have you found a way to interrogate him?”

“No.” This was said by the instructor watching these students nearby.

The instructor winked at Shen Zhuo.

Shen Zhuo recognized him.

This seemed to be one of the key members from the welcome banquet organized by Adjutant Ji back then.

One of their own.

The instructor gave Shen Zhuo a look: Can’t help it, Her Highness the Princess.

Feng Muya glared at him: “Who says we haven’t!”

Feng Muya’s ability was called [Oppression].

It was an ability that had absolute suppressive power over people of the same or lower rank as her.

This was also one of the sources of Feng Muya’s confidence all along.

Although that gland hunter was S1, Feng Muya still had a chance to suppress him.

Since Feng Ming had been caught by the military, she needed to at least salvage some image.

With about two hours left now, Feng Muya pointed directly at the instructor: “Let me in.”

The instructor wanted to use military regulations to stop her, but then he saw the seal in Feng Muya’s hand.

That was the Queen’s symbol.

The instructor had to let her pass.

When the gland hunter saw that the visitor was a female Omega, a sneer echoed through the room.

But the next second, the Alpha’s face was slammed straight onto the table.

Shen Zhuo watched Feng Muya’s face through the one-way glass.

He could vaguely see the Queen’s youthful appearance.

That arrogant confidence.

But ten minutes passed, and even though the Alpha was suppressed, he still refused to say anything.

Even when Feng Muya was ready to get physical, the hunter remained tight-lipped.

Fifteen minutes later, the instructor ordered Feng Muya to come out.

As soon as she stepped out of the interrogation room, Feng Muya started mocking: “Rank and ability are useless against him. What can you do?”

Shen Zhuo ignored her completely and looked at the instructor.

The instructor nodded and opened the door to let Shen Zhuo in.

The air was already filled with the scent of red rose oppressive pheromones. The hunter lifted his head with difficulty, looking at Shen Zhuo with disinterest.

“Another Omega? Is the military out of men?” The man scoffed. ” Is Du Xun… dead?”

The last word was bitten out with mockery and provocation. The hunter leaned forward, making kissing noises at Shen Zhuo.

Like teasing a rabbit.

Shen Zhuo’s expression was bland as he sat down opposite him.

He didn’t release pheromones, nor did he speak.

Only when he heard “dead” did the corners of his eyes droop sharply.

After reading the man’s file on the table, he finally raised his eyes and said his first sentence—

“In one hour and forty minutes, you will die.”

The man was stunned for a moment, then laughed loudly.

“Don’t talk bullshit! I’m alive and well!”

Shen Zhuo glanced at his watch.

“If you tell the truth, I might consider saving you.”

The man cursed a couple of times, but seeing Shen Zhuo’s calm expression, he started to believe him a little.

He said impatiently: “I don’t know anything!”

Shen Zhuo said calmly: “I ask, you answer. No pauses, no hesitation. Understood?”

He didn’t give the man time to respond.

“Name?”

“…”

Shen Zhuo: “You’re wasting your own life.”

The hunter glared at him fiercely, and after a long while, reluctantly spoke: “Huang Zui.”

“Age?”

“28.”

“Rank?”

“S1.”

Shen Zhuo spoke faster and faster.

He asked the most basic questions.

Not giving the hunter even half a second to think.

Until Shen Zhuo’s questions gradually approached the gland trafficking organization.

“How long have you worked in the organization?”

“Three years.”

“Source of glands?”

“The higher-ups provide a list. I don’t know anything else.”

“Destination of glands?”

When asked this key question, the hunter paused for a moment.

“I don’t know.”

Shen Zhuo closed the hunter’s file.

He started walking out.

“Hey!” The man looked anxious. “You said you’d save me!”

Shen Zhuo glanced at him coldly.

“But you didn’t tell the truth. Why should I keep my promise?”

Saying that, he turned to the instructor:

“South District, 24th Street, No. 268. It’s a basement.”

The composed expression on the hunter’s face behind him finally shattered.

He slammed his hands on the table frantically, constrained by the handcuffs to his seat.

“How did you know?! You lied to me! You lied to me! You knew all along! You lied to me!!”

Shen Zhuo turned to look at him, his gaze devoid of even a shred of pity.

A voice cold as ice rang out:

“Next life, remember to learn how to hide your thoughts. Not everyone is unable to hear.”
